Personally, I don’t think forcing people to join the strike is cool. Allow drivers that want to drive. Generally, driving business is not for weak minds, especially if u are driving in Lagos. If bolt/Uber policy isn’t favorable to you; leave. I stopped driving since last year and I’m doing very well for my self. Infact, I now make more money with little stress. U won’t be a driver forever. Drive and have an exit plan. There’re many other things that can fetch you money in Lagos. Driving the whole day might not make you discover these things.

Allow those that want to drive

Guys, Bolt is unblocking me this evening after 7days for having too much "Passenger did not show". Please any trick to avoid another block? Cus no way I'm not canceling, u can't do all requests. Bolt is doing like they have too many drivers and are looking at reducing it o

Try and balance the % by also canceling trips or responding to trips. If passenger cancels 7times, reject 3trips that are not favourable to you. The thing go balance

Once upon a time there was a guy who after so much frustration about life got a tiny miny break through with life and had a turn around at age 45, luckily for him Nairalnad was a place of solace

This guy was abandon at a tender age due to his mother marrying out of wedlock, from 1 bad luck to another. At a point of committing suicide a good samaritan decided to help him out by making him a fleet manager at age 40. This helper happens to travel out of the country and made him a full manager at the supervision of his brother to monitor the dude and expenses.

This dude register on Nairaland by 2009 and since then all the topic he has opened or drop comment has been a true understanding of a wretched soul and empty human.

Numskull let me teach the word of God a little the last person christ called a fool was in Luke 12 and he talkeda a rich man who finds his success as an outcome of his his hardwork.

The definition of been rich can be split into different term like having 11 Corolla, having a successful career or driving the nicest truck or anything we term riches. Which is different from wealth.
But further into verse 21; he stated it that he was rich not towards God, since salvation can't be bought by a Corolla then my jigga your foolishness is next to none.

Thinking anybody that is not rich in your term is a lazy person or a beggar. Baba your foolishness is at biblical proportion.

Update!!
First of all, big shout out to @bishop, baba has been showing concern. So I was supposed to visit a recommended mechanic yesterday but due to access bank wahala, I couldn’t take the car down. So I sent money for the OCV and 2coils he said was bad. Took the car today, after the changed everything, the car started a different madness. It doesn’t steam. It comes on and goes off immediately( but we drove it from Surulere to his workshop at iyana oworo). After several checking, the mechanic had to call a rewire to check if it could be a wire related issue. I’m still yet to hear from them.

Beng1234 were you able to bring the car? Don't mind jpworld jare.

I will be fixing it tomorrow, my weekends are too busy. However, I took it for check up to determine what was wrong with it. The mechanic said my coils weren’t supplying enough current to the plugs and my oil control valve was faulty. Shout out to @bishop, he has been calling me to suggest possible causes of the car’s problem.

Where are you finding all these mechanics? Where are you located? Is Bishop or someone we know not close to you? THE FAULT IS NOT IN YOUR ENGINE. Your car doesn't have a fuel regulator kwa

edit: additional question, is your car south african? if you don't know, post your VIN. second question, do you know if your enging is 1ZZ or 2ZZ?

It is US and 1zz

As regards the date..

From my findings with Jamrock Cuisine, they said they don't work on sundays but if we want to be there on Sunday, then provision will be made.

I know Sunday is a very busy day for most of us here, likewise Monday too. But the committee was looking at Sunday 20th December, 2020. 12-3pm, its just a meet and greet event, so that people staying far can drive back in light and safe.

P.S This event will be devoid of alcoholic beverages since majority of us here will be driving.

Suggestions will be taken on the above.

Stay Safe
Stay Alive

I suggest a WhatsApp group should be created for this event.

So your plugs are black because it's still too much fuel from the pump for the sparks to burn off. Check the fuel pressure regulator under the hood. That's what you are looking for.

Good afternoon, I have tried to send a mail but I don’t know why it’s not going through. I had the same starting issues this morning. A close by mechanic came and checked the plug, it was black. He serviced it and the car came on and remained on. I quickly showed him the photo you suggested yesterday. He said there’s nothing like that in my car, that it doesn’t come in all cars. He said the fault might be from my engine (I changed engine in July). E shock me sha. I had an appointment so I couldn’t even start arguing. @gauzzuzz, I also sent a mail, I dunno if you received.

Your don't just start buying parts a scanner brings out!! One part can trigger 3 different codes attached to other parts! What was the original symptom of the car and what were the scanner codes you got?

Also, when you say the plugs are "gone", gone how? And what kind of plugs did you change?

1st symptom was the jerking; car jerks when u apply full pressure on the throttle. But it drives smooth when I pedal lightly.

2nd problem: car went off on its own without showing any sign. It was a rewire that brought it back on.

After some days, car went off in the night on fadeyi bridge after surging. When we roll the engine, it comes on and goes off immediately. Mechanic came the next day to scan, he said it was airflow meter (I shared the codes here). We checked the airflow meter, but it wasn’t faulty. He then checked the plugs and saw that they were all bad. He told me the injector mouth is what is killing the plug. He charged 10k to get 4 plugs (according to him, they are original plugs). The car came on finally after changing plugs, servicing nozzle, servicing injector mouth and changing pump and filter. I tot all my problems were gone but the jerking didn’t stop so I changed mechanic. Mechanic said the fuel pump I just changed (assumed tukunbo is bad) according to scanner. Naso I change fuel pump again. He checked the plugs and everything was blaccccck (we changed 4plugs again, this time for 6k) we changed o2 sensor (the one in front and under). After all this change, the car still jerk when pressure is applied, but it hasn’t gone off on its own. This is actually the first time I’m experiencing all this problems. I done tire. I feel I have been attending to the problem wrongly.

Currently, scanner is showing no error

I don’t really know much about cars but at least I know when my own isn’t doing fine because I have been using it.

Please oooo. Make una suggest Wetin be the possible cause of what’s happening to me. I have spent close to 100k and the thing is still there. I did scanning and changed all what the scanner brought.
My car drives smooth but when even I apply plenty pressure on the accelerator, it jerks and acts like it wants to go off.

I have changed o2 sensor, fuel pump and filter 2x, serviced nozzle, serviced injector mouth, changed plugs, and other things the scanner brought out.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I'll suggest you clean your airflow sensor with electric cleaner and also clean your air filter. Your throttle body and mouth too should be cleaned, not forgetting your injector nozzles.if your air filter is seriously dirty, buy a new one.its around 1-2k. All these process is known as a tune up. Endeavour to do it twice a year.
What make is your car sir?

Toyota Corolla 2005. This mechanic is just all about bring money, bring money.

Good afternoon, I have been experiencing surging, lately. I got to the mechanic’s shop and he ran a scan. Told me the error codes were 9 (I come Dey fear) injector mouth and cook. So I adopted luxurydriver’s style and told told him I was gonna snap the code and search on google. When I did, all the 9 codes were saying only air flow censor.
