Health / Doctor Treating Coronavirus Patients In Edo Contracts Virus by beninboy22a: 7:53pm On Apr 02, 2020
At the moment, as health workers continue to play their part in containing the spread of the disease, they are not protected. One of our colleagues died just yesterday from Lassa fever. This is the state of our health care institutions and that is the fate of most health care workers in the country."

Residents of the National Association of Resident Doctors in Nigeria, Dr Aliyu Sokomba, has disclosed that one of their members treating Coronavirus patients at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State, has now been infected with the virus.

Speaking on a Channels Television programme on Thursday, Sokomba said, “At the moment, as health workers continue to play their part in containing the spread of the disease, they are not protected.

“One of our colleagues died just yesterday from Lassa fever. This is the state of our health care institutions and that is the fate of most health care workers in the country.

“Dr Philp Dzuana is the sixth doctor to have died of Lassa fever in the country and very little is being done to get this kind of situation under control.

“Just yesterday again, one of our doctors in ISTH, Iruaa, tested positive for the COVID-19 disease.

“What that means is that these doctors that are testing positive to various diseases are being left alone to take care of themselves.

“There is no form of life insurance for them. There is no form of compensation.

“To say the least, what these doctors benefit at the end of every month as hazard allowance is N5,000.

“So, we are worried that if victory against COVID-19, Lassa fever outbreak in the country is to be achieved, the welfare and wellbeing of doctors and other health workers who are on the frontline must be secured.

This is just the number of cases recorded by NCDC.. The actual cases is way more than this...

Buhari should go get tested for the second time, because there's no way your Chief of staff would get tested positive for the virus and you tested negative, or are they trying to feign everything for us

God will help us...

She doesn't want to go into a relationship for now. So leave her let her be or ask her when she will be ready. If you want to wait till then let her know your intention and see her response.. Her response will tell you if you will wait or move on..

Politics / Re: Coronavirus: Buhari “Addresses” Nigerians On COVID-19 (Video) by beninboy22a: 12:00pm On Mar 23, 2020
ignis:
His pronunciation of COVID as "COVIK" could be understandable because of his accent. However anyone who calls it "ONE NINE" instead of NINETEEN certainly have little or no idea about what is going on and has not been following both local and international news.

If after taking weeks to learn how to pronounce COVID - 19 before addressing Nigerians, this is the best he can offer, then there is a serious problem.

Imagine if he had to pronounce CORONA VIRUS.

In conclusion Nigerians major on the minor and minor in the major.

Chaman you nor go blame am. Naso him tongue
GEEBITE:

- Mane is looking to win his first Premier League title with Liverpool in the 2019-20 campaign

Sadio Mane has been a loyal son to his homeland to the core despite acquiring all his wealth in Europe, cited on Twitter.

The Liverpool striker has reportedly donated €45,000 to help fight the deadly Coronavirus ravaging the whole world.

It is not the first time Mane has been generous to the people of his country, the Senegal international has also built hospitals and schools to help develop his village.

Mane has been in an impeccable form in the past two seasons for the Reds helping them win the Champions League last season.

Liverpool becoming European champions saw Mane nominated for the 2019 Balon d'Or award as he came fourth behind Lionel Messi, Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But this season's competition has been different as Jurgen Klopp's side were unceremoniously knocked out in the round of 16 over two legs by Spanish club Atletico Madrid.

However, Mane is in line to make history with the Merseysiders as they aim to win their first Premier League title in over 30 years of waiting.

The 27-year-old has 14 league goals in 26 matches this season including two strikes Champion Leagues.
