This analogy really got me and should get everyone also....
The old Lady has everyone's record in her domain. @kaka24, from your record and profile: same father and mother records with Wazobia you are definitely by omission or commission same blood, so you will be guilty of information hoarding and PREJUDICE and the rest you can figure out.....
Be honest with the Old Lady and let her make her decisions.... though, i found out that sometimes she buys into people who pad their profile very well with ??
My two cents...............!!!!!!!!!

AfonjaBoston:

A wealthy philanthropist built a beautiful mansion in 1776. This edifice is a huge tourist attraction and people from all around the world write letters to this old lady requesting a glimpse of its beauty.

After much deliberations this lady was pressured by her children to open up her home to the outside world.

On one condition she said, my home is open to all to live as there are many rooms but travellers must indicate their intention before coming so she can prepare rooms for those who want to live in it permanently and those who are just passing through.

A man by the name Wazobia indicated he needed a tour, spoke highly of the heiress and how he has been inspired by her philanthropy. He needed a temporary stay for the purpose of learning, development and to replicate same back home. The old lady was touched and approved his quest.

When Wazobia arrived he was warmly received but after a few weeks he became greedy, envious and took over one of her rooms permanently.

She was distraught, disappointed but her benevolence got the most of her and did not deter her from doing good but she never forgot what Wazobia did.

Fast forward to 2020 Wazobia's sibling Kaka24 intends to write a letter to the old lady for a tour.
Do you think the old lady will be happy if she finds out kaka withheld information about his relationship status with Wazobia the usurper ?

The old lady is wiser and tougher now!

Hello LagosNIV/AbujaNIV,
Please i need you to clarify the visa waiting time to reapply: for B1/B2; the wait time to reapply after refusal is six months, is this time between last refusal date to next appointment date in which case you can start the DS-160 form and source for appointment within the six months date or the wait to reapply time is between the last refusal date and the next date to create a new DS-160 form; in which case it may take one year for another interview date, considering the scarce availability of interview dates. Thank you.

Hello LagosNIV/AbujaNIV, it seems putting all visa waivers on "schedule follow up appointment" is the new wave. Any way, what if i don't want to book a follow up and just want my passport back for other purposes how do i go about that. Please your urgent response on this issue will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

You have to get somebody living in Canada to help you make the request.

Unfortunately some in this section claiming that they can help one apply for GCMS can not be trusted as they are likely to pay with a stolen credit card details

Wow!!! u don't mean that...
Anyway, presently i know no one in the immediate... can you help out Gee!!! You have my email.
Secondly, i saw online sites doing the third party agent stuff...

Hello All et Justwise and gurus,
I only got my refusal message this week since July 12, 2017 online submission. REASON STATED- PURPOSE OF TRAVEL. I guess because in the application for me and family i stated we are going to US for child delivery and may visit Canada briefly as our custom is during our family trips to visit different countries in a vicinity to know the different cultures. Anyway, child birth at US was done and completed and we are back to see the Canada refusal message.
I am presently not in a hurry to apply again since i don't have any immediate plan for trip, but while requesting for the GCMS NOTES through ATIP i realized only citizens or residents at Canada can ask for the notes.
Please @Justwise and others, how can you help...
Thanks everyone for your efforts to make this thread a reasonable source for information.

VisaOfficer:

Good afternoon,

I will do my best to answer your questions in the order asked:
1. It is possible for a U.S. citizen to file for his or her married son or daughter. The spouse and children of the principal applicant may be included on the petition. If the spouse or children are already U.S. citizens, however, they cannot be issued immigrant visas.
2. Grandparents may not file for grandchildren.
3. Filing for an immigrant visa does not cancel an applicant's ability to travel on a non-immigrant visa. The applicant should be aware, however, that misuse of a non-immigrant visa will have adverse effects on potential future immigrant visa petitions.
4. Please visit the website linked here (https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/petition.html) for more information on the filing process for the I-130.
5. DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) is administered by USCIS. Please visit this website for more information (https://www.uscis.gov/archive/consideration-deferred-action-childhood-arrivals-daca)

Regards,
VO

Thanks VO,
Points addressed are noted.

Job well done.

Good morning VO,
Great job being done here answering pertinent questions, well done!
Few questions i have are listed below for your action:
1. Can a citizen file for her married daughter which in turn means her whole family members, the married daughter already have two citizen minors by birth.
2. If 1 above is not possible or longer to process, can a grand mother file for her grand child who is a minor because she wants her to have quality life and better education.
3. In both cases above, they currently have USA visa expiring 2019; will the filing cancel their existing visa and void it, hence making it difficult for them to return or make another trip next year. They are presently in the States on vacation for three months.
4. Considering 3 above, can the filing be made while in the United States before returning or it is better to start filing when they return to home country. I read part of the form I-130 asking present place of residence.
5. Lastly, does DACA, the action program on minors applied to Nigerians? how can we benefit from it?

Thank you for your understanding and attention.

God bless.

Ethiopia airline is not just good airline but great....I flew with them to China on official assignment three times and i have had no reason to regret that. Any layover in Addis of over 8 hrs, you will be entitle to a hotel accommodation. Even their aircraft is good. I just love everything about them. Cant wish for more

Hello All,
Thanks for the reply. You know two or three witnesses are enough to confirm once thoughts.
I called Ethiopian Airline Adis Ababa to ask about hotel reservation and was told to send email to wasres@ethiopianairlines.com 10 days before the flight for free hotel accommodation at the lay over point (Washington DC) for this case.
Just felt so sorry for Nigerian Airlines missing out on this.....
Thanks and God bless... My people...

Hello House,
Has anyone flew ETHIOPIAN AIRLINE recently to US and especially to the West Coast- Phoenix Arizona.
What was the experience? Any difficulty on the way? How cool is Ethiopian Airline?
Any worries at POE or concern to be noted?
I found them to be fair in pricing compared to the Europe, UK and Golf airlines.
Do they provide accommodation for long lay over- 13hrs to 20hrs.
Travel is for August with 2 kids...

Secondly, anyone with Hospital and doctor info that is cheaper than 8k for CS at Phoenix? Pls post or pm.

Pls i need help with the info before ticket hold expires on friday.

Thank you all.

hi, 4MB is allocated to every upload which is more than enough. there are hundreds of pdf joining and shrinking tools online so you can just search and make use of one. please keep your uploads simple and clear and if possible, let each upload have a check-list of whats in it. make the VO's job easier as it is easier for him/her to deny the application than to waste more than required time on it searching and thinking a document embedded in the uploads somewhere was not even presented. also, be honest.best of luck

Hi everyone,

I have been a silent reader, following the trail of conversations. Great to be on this informative and wonderful platform.

I applied for my TRV on the 3rd of May, 2017 through the online application and had my biometrics on the 4th of May, 2017 at the Lagos VFS office.

Got a refusal message yesterday from the VO in Accra Ghana stating "that i have not provided sufficient documentation to support my hosts income and assets.

My question goes like this, while filing my application, i had stated that I will be sponsoring myself, which I provided my account balance of 1.5 million naira for a vacation of 14 days. Purpose of visit as tourism(stated the places that I would be visiting), Introduction letter from my company, letter of explanation, pay slip for the past 4 months, tax payments, travel itinerary etc.

Since I'm working and sponsoring my self, should i have attached my hosts income and assets?

I didn't include my hosts income, since the reason for my visit is on tourism purposes, therefore I should be financially okay to sponsor my trip.

I had informed them in my application that my host is my friend and that I will be staying in my hosts apartment during my 14 days visit. A letter of invitation as well as my hosts permanent residence permit was included in my application.

I'm so sad right now, thought I was gonna get the visa.

@MICHELLE001...
Sorry about the outcome of your TRV. i can now say that from several views and comments VISA is always refused based on an error or omission during the application.
I think personally that once you include an invite, then you must meet all criteria stated in their CHECKLIST.
Well done.....

1 & 2- yes you need to scan and upload all supporting documents. I know there is a space limit but am not sure. some people know how to reduce the size after saving it on pdf. google is your friend. I think @jawa will know.
3. there is room for later upload if and when they request for additional documents. When my mum received her UK visa, I scanned it and sent through email and CSE form to them as added travel history which they acknowledged they received.
4. if you are doing online, you have to pay for biometrics fee online immediately before you can get a confirmation of submission letter.
5. you don't need to scan your "IMM" forms. Download them, fill them on your laptop, validate the main visa application form and upload. I filled 2 forms for my mum, the TRV form and family form. the family form doesn't need to be signed orvalidated. Just fill and upload.

@MESH2003...
I hereby induct you to our 'CANADA TRV HALL OF FAME' officially.
You are always a source of encouragement.
But you didn't reply the last lines.... cheesy
All the same, my regards to Mom and the family....

@JAWA... Please what is the space constrain for uploading forms and the solution to it...

You guys are da..........
Thanks all.

My bad. Was at work. anyone less than 14 years and over 79 don't need to give biometrics.

@MESH2003 AND JAWA,
Few questions about ONLINE APPLICATION SUBMISSION-
1. DO I NEED TO SCAN AND UPLOAD ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS DURING THE APPLICATION.
2. DOES IT MATTER THE NUMBER OF PAGES, LIKE THE BANK STATEMENTS, LANDED PROPS, LEASE AGREEMENT, MARRIAGE CERT, SHARE DOCS, OFFICE LETTER, SOP AND THE LIKES.
3. IS THERE A ROOM FOR LATER DATE UPLOAD?
4. DO I ALSO PAY FOR BIOMETRICS OR THAT WILL BE LATER AT VAC.
5. DO I ALSO SCAN AND UPLOAD OTHER "IMM" DOCS SAME TIME?

Thanks for the speedy response as usual...

dear bestbuyer, this is a pretty common dilemma and you're not alone.
firstly, i shall like to clarify that no one is an authority on visa matters except a VO trained by that country in accordance to the country's immigration laws. i just share my experiences and that of my nuclear family and questions/concerns i have been opportune to ask VOs personally in that very short window at POEs. i go through visa stress like everyone else. you just have to find ways to make it easier.
that being said, you can recall your passport by sending an email to the visa office if you are going the paper route. pre 2013 and in my sister's experience, you can pull your passport, use it and return it to the visa office to continue processing. this process will take about 7 working days give or take 2 days. you will not pay a new visa fee but your application will be queued afresh and the new processing times will apply.though its been about 5 years and this may have changed. also, in paper route, you have to submit your application and do bio same day so if you're still planning on doing bio but have already applied, you are using the online route in which you need not submit your passport until your application is approved. if you have not decided which route to use, in my experience and due to my job, i shall recommend the online route. i cannot leave my passport in a visa office for even a month. if you are a frequent flyer or have a job that demands offshore services, online route was made for you. best of luck.

Hello Jawa,
Let's give all glories to God for wisdom He had bestowed on us at a time like this....
That been said, Thank you so much for the bunch of advise.... i can run with it and be successful as my instinct and prayers informed me.
You and the rest of the team are wonderful...

mesh2003:

My best advice is for you to do an online submission. I don't know anything about recalling your passport and how long it takes. I think you can cancel within 7 days of applying. Not too sure. I am still waiting for my mums visa. She applied for UK and got it within 2 weeks. The plan now is that she will leave for the UK this Thursday and when her visa is approved, we will send her passport via DHL to the embassy from the UK. So if you are doing an online application, you can go to that hehe US. You also have 30 days to submit your passport when it's requested. Maybe by that time you can come back. If it paper application, am not too sure of you getting it before August. When did your friend apply and from where? Nigeria?

@Mesh2003,
Thank you so much for the relevant info. I am more armed now to go for the visa. You guys are so amazing. All the best to you and the family.
My friend applied last year June by paper at VAC-Lagos and after 10 days she got her visa with that of her sister.
It is well with us all.
Generally, i think these Embassies are the same... My sister in-law is still waiting for her UK visa after 5weeks, same with a friend for SA visa after 7weeks.

Hello People,
@Mesh2003 and @Jawa.... the ones i see as authorities in Canada TRV.

Pls i will like to know if i can recall my passport from Canada Visa office when the process takes longer than my expectation because of another pending travel to US.

If i can recall, how long does it take for me to get it back. My US trip is mid August and can't afford to miss the trip.

Secondly, can i return my passport back to Canada Visa Office or VFS for continued process on my return or i need to restart another visa fee and process again.

A friend got her visa approved within 10 days including her sister's application too. I will be going for biometrics on 07/07/2017.

Thanks as i await your candid wise opinions.....

God bless us all smiley

Hi Bestbuyer,

this nah jamb questions o. lols

1) I haven't had any of my babies in US so I cant say if its saner, but I think Canada as a country is much saner if you consider the happenings in US compared to those reported in Canada.

2) Yes, its cheaper. I compared the cost I received from a US gynae and that of Canada before I chose to go to Canada. Also, cad exchange rate is lower than USD. Currently @240 to a Naira as against N365/USD, parallel market rate of course.

3) You don't need to mention me, I did not mention anybody when I called his office, but it appears he has delivered a lot pple from this part of the world based on my discussions with him. He is a VERY NICE DR, I must say. I loved every appointment I had with him.

4) I did not consider any other place since I was already booked with Dr Abou who works in Brampton Civic Hospital. Yes, it is a very big Hospital and the nurses are nice.

5) Well I don't know how much you would need to apply for the visa, I did mine last year sept. and a lot has changed since then including exchange rates, and besides I applied alone not with hubby and kids.

6) I used Airfrance and there was no hassle or anything, nobody even asked how far gone I was though I was 36weeks with huge baby bump. It was a smooth flight but I think it was a little bit expensive, I paid about 800k just for myself, but check other airlines and their pregnancy policies before making your choice.

7) Again I don't know the difference. But I think my stay in US and Canada is about the same for me, except the extreme winter I experienced in Canada, It was crazy. Our country has best weather, I couldn't wait to come back. lols.

cool Your travel history looks fine, but again, it's the immigration officer's call for this matter.

9) please check my earlier post for details - I used Hotstepper's contact.

10) No, I stayed with a family. But Hostepper may be able to help, you can contact her on this.

I hope I passed the jamb questions. lols. I wish you well in the process, but please don't forget to pray, that was my key factor in my entire success story.

Enjoy your day.

Hello Virt,
You are such an encouragement to many and you take time to respond to quotes. God bless your family.
Please i requested to send you a PM but guess i can just ask you here and now.

I am planning to go with Wiffy and children to Canada for our 3rd born (2nd was an Aamrikan--- LOL), This is on a second thought otherwise we have all set for 'Aamrika' just ticket purchase end of this week...

1. I am been persuaded it's better or saner to have your baby in Canada.

2. It is cheaper as per exchange rate to have baby in Cad. Is it really cheaper?

3. Can i call Dr. Abou-seudu that you used and mention you... (if yes, then pls PM your name for reference only)

4. From the posts seen so far, Brampton Civic Hospital seems very good and big but also cheaper, would you have prefer some other place?

5. Wiffy will be due in Sept. so just want to apply now expecting it within 30 days which means we will go via 'Aamrika'. I was told we will need about 6m minimum in our account to apply and obtain Cad visa.

6. Which airline was your choice and no hassle about 36 weeks flight issue.

7. Generally, how cool is Cad to have your baby, as per benefits compared to 'Aamrika'.

8. We have travel history of UK, Europe, SA and USA.

9. How did you arrange emergency travel doc for baby to come back.

10. Do you have any idea apartment or self-service homes/rates at Brampton or the environs for lodging.

Thank you for your usual selfless assistance and PSR (Personal Social Responsibility).

God bless all other contributors including the FAMOUS HOTSTEPPER.

Hello dear,

I stated that I was going to have my baby there and stated reasons. Please search for my earlier posts I did a lengthy post on that.

I cannot advise that stating that you want to have your baby there will always grant you the visa, I had a couple of things that might have worked for me which i'm not sure what exactly cos I had a lot of personal reasons on my purpose of travel letter which may not apply to you, like my medical history, where I work and the fact that my hubby and older kids were not travelling with me, plus I had a host in Canada etc.

I don't know the cost of Vaginal birth, but it shouldn't be very much different from a C-section delivery. You can read through earlier posts, some people had their babies vaginally and state their costs here as well.
