Six suspected killers of Kano pastor was arrested by the Nigeria Police

The police has said that it has arrested seven suspects said to be killers of the leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Sumaila Local Government Area of Kano State, Shuaibu Yohana.

According to the report so far the Pastor was killed by a mob few days ago after he intervened in a case involving one Sabo Idris who was accused of killing his elder brother’s wife, Zainab Balan’iya. Yohanna was accused of hiding Mr Idris who is a Christian convert, before being lynched by the mob who burnt down his church, house and school.

Police spokesperson in Kano, Abdullahi Kiyawa told BBC Hausa that they arrested six suspects “on the spot”. The seventh suspect was said to have turned himself in. The case has been transferred to the homicide department at the police command headquarters in Bompai, Kano.

A Chicago Mother Shot Her 12-Year-Old Son In The Head In A Rage Over A Missing Memory Card

Fallon Harris, 37, was charged with first-degree murder after the death of her son, Kaden Ingram, at their South Chicago home.

Kaden was found unresponsive on the kitchen floor with multiple bullet wounds to his head on Saturday morning, September 11.

Prosecutors alleged in court Sunday, September 12, that Harris was caught on a home security system firing the second and fatal shot.

In a Sunday court hearing, Cook County State’s Attorney Eugene Wood alleged the incident began mid-morning Saturday when Harris confronted her son over the whereabouts of a digital memory card she had taken out of her car Friday night, September 10. Wood didn’t say what was on the memory card.

According to prosecutors, the situation escalated when Kaden told his mom he didn’t know where the memory card was.

Harris allegedly pointed a silver revolver at the boy and fired a non-fatal shot to his head.

Wood said that audio evidence recovered from the home’s security system showed that the first gunshot left the 12-year-old boy "conscious and crying."

Prosecutors alleged that, while Kaden was lying injured on the floor, Harris took a phone call, then she returned to demand the memory card again.

In an incident Wood claimed was clearly caught on the security camera, Kaden told his mom again that he didn’t know where the memory card was, and then she fired a second, fatal shot at the 12-year-old child.

Court remands three suspects over alleged attempt to kidnap family in Edo

An Edo State High Court, presided over by Justice Ohimai Oviageli, has remanded three suspected kidnappers for allegedly conspiring to kidnap a family.

Justice Oviageli ordered the remand of the suspects: Bright Emumwen, Evans Osariemen and Chukwudi Anyanwu, in Sapele Road Correctional Centre pending when legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, Edo State would be received.

In an exparte order marked charge No: B/CD/1495M/2021, it was alleged that the suspects, among other charges, conspired among themselves, to kidnap one Sunday Onofua, his wife, patience Onofua and their son, Samuel Onufua, all of Okpagha Community, off Benin-Auchi Road Benin City, Edo State.

The presiding Judge, after hearing the prosecution, I.E. Ekibade, ordered that the case file be duplicated and sent to the Director of Public Prosecution of Edo State for Legal Advice.

The Judge thereafter adjourned the case to the 13th of September, 2021.
