Sports / Re: Super Eagles Better Off Without Mikel - Swaziland Coach by bettermike: 7:00pm On Nov 19, 2015
In the last match, our midfield was near perfect. Energetic and appealing to the eyes.

Mikel is my witness. He watched the entire match live from the bench where he belongs.

Mikel is so sluggish and gives other players extra work to do.

In the last match, the midfielders did their jobs perfectly.

One thing is sure. Egypt go suffer mehn. All we need is more firepower upfront.

Nigeria is on the rise again!

Sir, with all due respect What makes you think I am a nobody I will take no exception to such allusion. I strongly opine that you choose your words carefully next time when addressing People or issues.

I don't recall forcing my opinion on anybody or dictating to Sunday Oliseh. What makes Nigerians think we can defeat the Pharaohs of Egypt with this disorganized and disjointed team. Let's see how the team fare without mikel in the heart of midfield.

We have tried rookies in the absence of mikel and they have all failed woefully. As it stands for now, he remains our best bet in the heart of midfield. Where are the likes of Gabriel Reubens nicknamed Mikel clown?? Lukman Haruna Rabiu Ibrahim?? Ramon Azeez etc. When Mikel successor appears, it will be glaring for all to see..

My opinion is mine and I am free to Air it out.

Obviously, you didn't watch the last match.

Take it or leave it,Mikel remains our best Midfielder after the exit of our midfield maestro, Jay Jay Okocha.
We all know that he is slow so what??... Every player has a weakness no matter how good he is.
It is left for the coach to play him to his own strength.
Was it not the same Mikel who performed incredibly well in Afcon 2013 If you want him to play to his strength give him cover with the right kind of midfield combo of and I bet you, he will perform.
We have had instances where he dictated the pace of a game in the favor of Nigeria.
I believe Oliseh distorted the Swaziland game plan by not fielding Mikel.

I insist that Oliseh twerk the Eagles midfield to accommodate Mikel...

No need to dictate to our coach. Mikel will be utilised where his skills fit. For now, you have heard what the swazi coach said. Our midfield was sluggish with Mikel.

Guy, teams are evolving fast. Opponents weak links are mostly exploited these days. A good example is ivanovic of Chelsea. One of the best epl defenders last season but now a bench warmer because other teams started exploiting his weaknesses being the weak link in the team. Teams are now using that position to punish Chelsea.

Same for Mikel. Teams will use his position to punish super eagles if he is not dumped quickly. Watch the first leg again and see how Mikel almost gave the swazis two cheap goals.

Please stop dictating to our beloved coach. Allow him to do his Job. Either way, your opinion will never count cos you are definitely a nobody. No offence.

Onazi switching positions doesn't make him all of a sudden AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER. His "PRIMARY" role is "defensive/central midfield".

So what are you talking about?? *smiles*

Ok..... Enough of this...... I recognise an "attention seeker" and "subtle ignoramus" when I see one.

Lol. The guy is out of ideas and has now resorted to name calling. Wouldnt change the fact that you know nothing though.

Well.... It's obvious you don't like Mikel.

Did you watch him against DR Congo and Cameroun??

Can Ogude and Esiti boss a midfield like Mikel does in the Green and White??

It's not a matter of "Pah!"

**smiles**

It's a matter of facts. Esiti is good but can't play the central midfield role the way Mikel does. Mikel is leagues ahead.
Guy that was a friendly match joor. See what Mikel did in the first leg against swazis. Under pressure Mikel underperforms. He lost the ball twice and the swazis had two goal scoring opportunities twice. Thanks to Mikel.

Dude, Mikel is living on past glory. He has lost it completely. He should honourably resign like emenike before the embarrassment of sitting on the se bench begins to overwhelm him.

Sorry Sir. Mikel's position isn't under any kind of threat.

OUR MIDFIELD DIDN'T CLICK TODAY AGAINST AN ORDINARY SWAZILAND TEAM.

No one there could dictate the game's pace or distribute the ball properly. Onazi tried but mehn!!!! Even he fell short.

The only reason Mikel may keep being benched will be due to Oliseh's "I-wanna-prove-a-point" tactics which may be our BANE by the time we come up against stronger teams. Oliseh should stop being stubborn and quit toying with our national team.

I like Oliseh. He had good tactical ideas. But his "wahala" is getting too much. Left out Mikel, left out Iheanacho, left out Oboabona, left out Echiejile...... Oliseh is toying with the team's core and the team's future core. He should stop it coz it's not working.

No senior midfielder in this team can boss the midfield or play the central midfield like Mikel.

That's just the sad truth.

Guy wake up from your slumber. Mikel is past tense now. And fyi, Na home base support onazi for midfield o. Always first to the ball, unlike mr slugish calamity Mikel.
Did you see the true definition of attacking midfielder in onazi today? Wow

Forget Mikel slowbi joor!

Bros..

I'm 95% certain you didnt watch today's match!

You call Swaziland ordinary ba?

A country that trounced djibouti 7-1 aggregate..innit?

Please, kindly remind me the last time our Super eagles team beat a minnow by that scoreline in very recent history

Instead, you peep, find out its 2-0 and scoff. angry

Nonsense!!!!!! angry angry angry

As for mikel sitting on the bench; if the coach says he should then let his decision stand!!

Afterall, mikel played the first leg and had very subpar performance that almost cost us two goals!

Naaah!... if Mikel or any player isn't prepared to sit up and release balls faster to other players then he should sit his buttocks down to the bench!

Oliseh seems to have an idea of how he wants his teams to play and i'm buying into his idea.
Nigeria has speedy players, hence our game-play needs to be a bit faster and purposeful than the snail paced fotie that has bedeviled ur game-play for over a decade now. Oliseh wants our CM's t release the balls faster to our attackers especially when we're on a counter instead of jogging and ball-hogging until our opponents regroup, ence, blunting our attack.

And as for results, Oliseh has my Back.

I think he's won 4 games 3draws 1 loss with 9goals and 7clean sheets!

I can't remember any Nigerian coach in recent times that's beaten this statistic... especially as it's coming from a "rookie coach".

Mehn... oliseh's brand out Super Eagles footie trounces almost every brand of football that we've played for the past decade and a half save Siasia's brief spell.

End of story.

Long story short.. everyone should learn to support the team.. and the coach too. He has his shortcomings as with everyone of us but alas, HE'S THE BOS and the players and us followers should learn to support and appreciate his decisions...even when we sometimes think we know it all.

Ps... i pray I never get to write and epistle like this again. I hate epistles! angry

Meanwhile, how's school by the way?
You don't need to give that sadist of a guy any attention. He and jarus need serious emotional help. They never see anything good in the current super eagles or the coach.

I don't take their analysis seriously anymore. Just imagine, that dude pronounced Mikel as our best midfielder. Shameful.

As for me, I saw a very vibrant, smart, fast, attacking midfield play today. Delicious to the eyes. Mikel should be past tense in our team honestly.

Am glad we now have the best coach in Africa at our disposal. Up super eagles!

Rabiu Ibrahim should not even have been called up. But then, I think it was a political decision. The northern quota had to be maintained. His game in the last friendlies showed his poor class especially when Mikel was on the pitch with him. Inferiority complex perhaps.

I think you got it wrong here. Martins was not brought to strike. He was meant to replace Mikel which I think was a good decision because we began to see the opponent goal more often. Mikel sat too deep but martins spent more time in the opponent half of the pitch. Another good decision by oliseh. Also rememering that Mikel was about to cost us the match.
Also if you follow martins in the mls, you should already know that he is no longer new to such roles.

Iheanacho tried. Needs more playing time.

Oliseh, to me, is my man of the match. If not for the poor officiating, Nigeria would have won comfortably.
It takes courage to realise that you have made mistake and correct it immediately by removing a player you brought on. If that player was left on, you will be the first to come here to scream like a new born baby.

What I took out of the match was simple. Now we have a coach. He saw that the wings were blocked and changed tactics swiftly. That is the hallmark of wisdom. All we need now is patience and some luck.

Am happy.

Rabiu Ibrahim
Came in, played for few minutes before being yanked off again. Meant to assist Mikel in the midfield but nothing was seen of him. 2/10

Obafemi Martins
Mikel was, IMO,wrongfully removed and Martins deployed to play in the midfield, when Mikel should be retained and allowed to feed Martins who should have replaced Musa or Simon. He showed his fighting spirit and did well trying to mark and distribute ball to the strikers. A decent return. 6/10

Kelechi Iheanacho
A debut the Man City youngster will like to forget in a hurry. Gave ball away, no accurate passes. Lost at some other times. 2/10

Oliseh: Did well by recalling Martins to SE team. I think removing Mikel was not optimal. For not winning this match, I'm rating him 4/10.

Lalasticlala: 10/10

An off day for the skipper. Not sure he has the charisma to carry this team. Hugely talented, but today's game is one reason why pundits often use him and inconsistency in the same sentence. No good runs. No good pass. A bad game. 4/10

Moses Simon
He failed to live to expectation as the star of the recent victory versus Cameroun. Made made flashes of brilliance, but no result. 4/10

Odion Ighalo
Not much was seen of him. It appeared there was a disconnect between midfield and attack. The highly rated striker did not live to billing. 4/10

What else did you expect from someone who was hit hard on the head, talking about Moses Simon. I think he even tried in that match. He made a few daring runs.
Looking at the number of people marking him when ever he had the ball, no space at all.

Please leave charisma out of this. Captaincy should be about good and competent leadership which I think Musa is. Musa I still our best player out of Nigeria atm so I see nothing wrong in making your best player the captain. Oliseh should be thanked for this

And regarding ighalo, this is where I will say I miss emenike's bullish runs. Ighalo was too soft and even missed goal scoring chances that should have been buried. He shouldn't have started the match imo.

It's been a while I did player rating for Eagles matches, but I'm deciding to do for this match.

Yet again, the SE struggled against an unrated African opposition. But for the for the wastefulness of the Swaziland team, they could have actually gone ahead as they had more scoring chances.

Carl Ikeme
Not tested much. No fantastic save to remember. He spent too much time dressing ball and sometimes killed tempo of game when he should have released the ball faster. Appeared composed nonetheless. 6/10

Abdullah Shehu
The right back was aweful in the first half. He didn't do much. He set too many feet wrong. He needs to work more to be rated as a professional that is capable of donning Nigerian national team jersey. 4/10

Efe Ambrose
Mr Cut. He appeared confident at the back with his signature cutting. He is becoming predictable and some opponents coaches may train their strikers on how to collect him from his cut. He also made an attempt to score from his trademark header in the second half. 5/10

Godfrey Oboabona
This guy returned to SE to have one of his worst games. His past rating has continued to wane and that may explain he is stuck to backwater club in Turkey. His passes were as poor as his defensive ability. A bad game. 3/10

Elderson Echiejile
The Monaco has toned down on his attacking style. He didn't link up with attack as he is known for. He could have done better. 4/10

Onazi Ogenyi
Hardworking but no sense. He plays in a world class team and much was expected of him. He needs to up his game. He gave away ball too easily. 4/10

Mikel Obi
Well, well, he may not be living to expectation but it was still glaring that he was a class ahead of his peers. He made flashes of passes - some accurate, some not so. He fell down too easily and also gave away possession a couple of time. Yet, it was glaring he was our best player. Removing him was a tactical blunder, IMO. 6/10.

Bro, this is absolutely your personal opinion and should be treated as irrelevant.
Mikel our best man? Lol
Dude, he gave away the ball twice which almost led to goals against us on both occasions. Worst part of it was his undesire to get back the ball after losing it, unlike ihenacho.
The coach rightfully pulled out Mikel knowing that he could cost us the match if left on the pitch.

Bro, you have alot to learn regarding football

Please run from jehova witness. Their international leaders have been very smart so far. Most of their actions have been very strategic.

No suprise that they have decided to make Nigeria their base in Africa. Also most of their members are from one particular part of Nigeria.

They make the poor feel comfortable. They also capitalize on the threatened. No wonder the ibos are joining in droops. It is a win-win scenario though. You join jw, means you are making the ibos stronger because there, they get the chance to choose how things happen in Nigeria. Joining jw means joining the Biafra struggle. You might not understand what am saying for now though.

Now they know that if they rule Nigeria, they will rule Africa and the world. Look at Christ embassy, winners chapel etc.

In the end my friends, it's all about the money. See how many Nigerian pastors are leading the richest pastors chart.

Forget that "we don't collect thithe sh!t". In the end, it is still their members that drop money that the church uses. You don't pay thithe but you still pay. Don't be deceived.

Ask yourself one question: When was the Las time you heard any dirty story regarding the jw church? I bet none.
This is because they are a cult like group that have very dirty rules about protecting their dirty dealings. When I say cult, I mean cult!

Now lets continue...

6) Their women can be hellish. But the husband is only allowed to leave her on grounds of adultary alone. Any other case is not acceptable for divorce

7) Husband is not allowed to work far away from home such that he will not come back home for days. Same for marriage partners who intend to travel abroad, if he cant secure papers for both at the same time, he must forfeit the opportunity.

cool When sick, they are advised to endure the illness rather than go for treatment. If they die in the process, its better because heaven is sure for them. Pity.

9) Their youths are strongly discouraged from attending tertiary institutions. They see university as the institution of the devil.

Their preferred alternative is their evangelical School. Where they believe they will teach what is necessary. What a pity

10) As a man, if you see any of their females that you like and you convert because of her. You are likely to die from food poisoning later into the marriage.

Their members have a bokoharam-like kind of mentality. They act first and think later as long as it is an order from above. Hence, if you beloved wife decides to become fully obedient, she will kill you without thinking twice.

Guys, this is not all o. If you need more, just ask.

Jehova wickedness is devil's clan on earth.

Sports / Re: If You’re The Chelsea Coach, What Would You Do To Solve Chelsea Present Problem? by bettermike: 7:24pm On Oct 29, 2015
Just change some of the ideology. Everyone have become relaxed. No more professionalism like when the likes of lampard was there. Being the best isn't enough. Keep trying to outdo yourself. This, Chelsea players didn't do.

Number 2, return to the basics. Teach your players how to pass, hold ball, shooting practice etc. A clean and swift passing team always has a chance. Also, any player unwilling to defend after losing the ball, like hazard does, should be totally discouraged.

Number 3, make hazard work or dispose him next January. He is fast becoming a major problem for Chelsea progress this season.

I can say more but, if Morinho wants more of my opinion, let him contact me. My advice will always be free.

I love you morinho. No matter what.
