Compliments of the season! Please I need a big favour from those returning before Christmas. Oakbend peeps, i noticed everyone had NICS on their bills, are all babies sent to NICS ?
Also, please kindly advise if Soulcare is a good choice in terms to proximity to shopping malls.
Is it a walkable distance?
Thanks

ozycy:

I didn't state epidural cos I didn't use epidural. Epidural is a different bill on its own. I attended antenatal clinic in my doctors office at old oakbend dat is the oakbend on Jackson Street not the William way campus oakbend where I had my baby.
okay, thanks

I ve had my baby and am back to my dear country Nigeria.
I used Oakbend MC,
Hosp fee, $2300
Dr E, $1900 (for every every plus including scan and papsmr , all test accepted
NIC $335.57
Brown an associate. $67.50
Total = $4603.07
Nothing new, just to add that my baby's birth certificate was ready even before I was discharged from the hospital. It doesn't necessarily take 2days plus. You can just check in the fort bend County website to know if it's ready and pick it up b4 heading home , for those that don't have enough time or you stay far from the county office. All documentation can be done in less than 2weeks, even SSN came in abt 8days time.
I learnt so much from this thread and was able to save a whole lot unlike my last missionary journey. starting from hospital to accomodation to transportation etc. Let's keep this thread moving, as for me shaa, I don hang boot o.

Ozycy, thanks for your detailed info and sorry to bother. I'm planning for futuristic 2nd journey. Please was epidural factored into that total package or is it a separate bill? Also, which clinic did you attend your ante natal appointments and class, is it different from Oakbend? Thanks

@ Sayoberry. Thanks for your reply. 10 mins train ride ke! Na wa o! Was the ride free? I just realised I'm arriving Dallas on Terminal D but departing from Terminal B to El Paso. Na wa o! Most likely train tinz. Atleast, the baggages would be checked in before boarding the train. It is well. All for American Dream..........

@sayoberry. Congrats on your successful entry. Please a quick question here, I'm flying BA, Lagos - London - Dallas - El Paso. My flight from Dallas to El Paso will be operated by American Airlines. Please can you confirm that I won't be charged for check in baggages on American Airlines. I just need to be double sure, I'll be travelling with my mom and we'll be carrying 4 boxes (2 empty though) for baby shopping. Kindly advise. Thank you.

@ romemiguwa, okay I'm pulling out then, I wouldn't want to get to the location and be told that the item has been sold. You can go ahead with the deal. Cheers!

@ poster. I really don't understand you. You asked me to send you a mail yesterday for a date and location which I did. We are supposed to meet on Saturday but you're yet to confirm it. If you already have a buyer for the same product, please let me know. No wonder you didn't reply my last mail

@nefertitiram...my heart goes out to you and your family. May the good Lord comfort you both. One thing is certain, he's a faithful God and will surely restore your loss. May afflictions never arise again in our lives and may our joys never be cut short. We shall surely testify to the glory of the Lord. Amen

nefertitiram: Dear All,
I wish I could post a POE story, but I developed severe complications on the day I was to leave for US. I am sure my friend @dinawe who we were supposed to travel together must have been confounded by my disappearance at the airport.
I started bleeding a few hours to my flight, and was rushed to a hosp. I had lost so much blood so they had to carry out an emergency surgery to save my life.
My babies were born at 27 weeks and are currently in an incubator. I am in recovery as well.
In all things I can only give thanks to God, things could have been much worse if I had gotten on that flight.
@dinawe, please reach out to me when you arrive phoenix. This is why I didn't show up for our flight, but I and the babies are safe and sound.

Dear nefertitram,
I'm sorry about your complications but at the same time we give God the glory. Thank God that you and your babies are safe and fine.
About this time last year, hubby and I lost our twins to preterm labour at 20+weeks. It was a very horrible experience. Fast forward to present day; I'm preggy again and we intend to use doctores para ti, and we have our visa interview by the end of this month. We are trusting God for a smooth sail this time around as well as his unending favours. Please just an advice, I recommend this book 'Supernatural Childbirth' by Jackie Mize to all pregnant couples. It was given to me as a gift and I tell you, my life hasn't remained the same since I read and digested it. It reminds us of God's promises to us as children of God and takes away all unnecessary fears and doubts especially for those of us with past experiences. I really implore all to get a copy. May the good Lord continue to see us through our journey and may our testimonies and joy be complete in Jesus name. Amen

Congrats to the new mums and dads.
I'm awaiting your kind advice

Hi peeps, I've been a silent follower for a while. I'm about 12 weeks preggy and hubby and I have decided on El Paso. We've also decided that I travel with my mum, who'll be of great assistance to me, we've also been able to save up enough funds for this project. However, I'm wondering if my mum & I should apply and go for an interview together or should I apply first, get my before and mum does hers thereafter. I intend declaring my true purpose while my mum's purpose would be to assist/support her child before/after delivery. I'm just wondering which option has a higher chance of success, together or one after another. Ofcourse, I know God's favour is the ultimate, but I do need some guidelines please. Thanks all

Family / Re: Married Men: Who's Your Next Of Kin And Why? by betty1983(f): 5:28pm On Apr 24, 2013
when a man cannot make his wife, his next of kin, it simple means he does not love, trust nor respect her enough. Any other person other than the couple themselves, is a third party in marriage. Ladies ensure you marry your best friend who would always have you and the children's interest at heart.
