Autos / Re: Total Cost Of Clearing A Vehicle In Nigeria by bfire(m): 1:40pm On Sep 15, 2016
MaxNdu:

To all the experts( Femmy, OliverJiad, Princewole and everyone) in the house, please is it possible to fit a 2005 Toyota Sienna and a 2006 Toyota Highlander in a 20 feet container. I also intend to put personal goods in the container. How much will cost to clear just the cars and goods.

Your responses will greatly appreciated, Thanks.

,
No, it can never fit.
All 20ft don't have high cube.
As such, there's no way to tilt the vehicle in the container to run atop each other

Why were they not shot yesterday by the army or the police

Why start today immediately the security men left.

Someone, somewhere is pulling the strings

How much exactly can anyone give to the likes of Akpabio,Melaye,Uba,Kashamu, oduah, etc? These guys are billionaires!!

Those billionaires you mentioned all have skeletons that can be activated at the whims of the govt

as Linda and any such people that constitute an impediment to her getting
a better treatment where she deems fit

Contribution was made to her, it's not for anyone to detemine where and how

What is clear is that she has cancer that is perhaps terminal. The blind could

So, where's the scam!

Why are the youths of this country, Nigeria, so ignorant.

So, because of one useless NDA, countries that need oil will suddenly stop buying oil.

Reasoning logically has departed some hateful souls who find it hard to fight their own battle but heading on some foolish lazy people to blow and pollute their land.

They have pipelines in their backyard, too. Why are they not doing same

Good day house, Happy Sunday to you all! Pls i have some enquiries to make.

Fitstly, i currently hold an admission letter to study diploma in Physical Therapist at Norquest college, Edmonton, Alberta, but my uncle in Canada adviced that i should not use the offer letter to apply for TRV because the program is not related to my course of study (Bsc biochemistry) and aso because its a diploma course. So, i am applying for a TRV with admission letter to study Masters in Biochemistry at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Labrador. (Not paying tuition though)
After getting the TRV & moving to Canada, is it possible i change schools & province since i already have an offer to study diploma in Physical Therapist at Norquest college, Alberta?

Secondly, i am planning on taking with me my 10months old baby girl. How possible is that considering the fact that i will be staying with my brother-in-law and family & there is enough money in my husband's bank account to prove that He can afford to pay my tuition and living expenses for a year & also our baby's childcare & other expenses(even though our baby will be staying with my brother-in-law's kids & wife while i am in school)
Has anyone achieved this in the house & how will i go about it? Pls advice.

Thanks for your prompt & favorable response

The mere fact that you mentioned that your child will be staying with your inlaw is already a red flag to the VO

The responsibility to your child now becomes Canada expense because your inlaw is probably Canadian.

You already have a better chance in terms of family ties if you allow your husband to take care of the child in Nigeria. Don't spoil am ooo

This happened with the aid and use of machinery of the contractor handling the Baruwa/Pako to two story road

Good evening gurus in the house,

i have been following this thread silently for a while now although not frequently, i must admit its been informative, thanks guys. Now here is my plight; i contracted an agent to help me get admission in Canadian university for my Msc in pharm chem, now the agent jst send me admission letter for one college,( Durham college of Art & Technology to be precise) to do pharmaceuticals and food sci. although am ok with d course but my concern is the college instead of the university.

plz gurus in the house what are my challenges when i decide to do my Msc after the program? i really want to do msc.

cc justwise, thesoj, etc.... it quite urgent, abeg mk una attend to the mata, thanks

It's just like any college in Nigeria i.e. Yaba Tech.

Though it's affiliated to many Universities in Ontario e.g. York U.

What the agent did was to apply for you in their health sciences of the College.

What i think he should have done is to apply to: University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
The school is still a pretty young sch. that is likely to offer you admission easily.

Both schools are however located in Oshawa with other campuses located around the Ontario East.
They both have beautiful, excellent labs.

Best of all, both school are just 45 - 60 minutes drive to inner GTA ( Greater Toronto Area)
These are cities of: Toronto; Etobicoke, Mississauga; Markham; North York etc
Politics / Re: Buhari Orders Release Of 10,000 Tons Of Grains by bfire(m): 12:28pm On Apr 25, 2016
The silos for the grain reserve storage were built when even GEJ was still in secondary school.

Most of you commenting were not even born then not to even say you know anything about the silos
or grain reserves.

It is abundantly clear, that GEJ added less to the storage compared to OBJ in this republic.
He had on two occasions, used up to 35 tons of the grain reserve.

Those are practical economic questions. What is hot money? What steps did Soludo take to insulate the economy from the effect of hot money.

The president is ruining the economy. I have written off the economy since July or probably earlier.

Sanusi, Soludo and Utomi have all condemned his economic policies. Utomi went as far as saying he should shut up.

He is a man of integrity but his economics suck. The naira will hit 600 this year if this budget is passed and he does not devalue. Financial Times of London called his foriegn exchange restrictions the height of foolishness.

How do you insulate the economy in this environment?

What are the injectectable practices that should occur under a mono-resource economy when faced with decline in foreign savings earnings comparative to export earnings.

You open to all sort of declines if your productivity level is not enhance to reducing your dependency.

A million devaluation can't stop dependency of easy rent money - oil.

I'm not saying devaluation is bad but, you must take into congnisance the economic instrument that affect substituting goods and services e.g agriculture imports

Getting education is not necessarily that you should be a university graduate.

Look around you, get informative sources: Internet, news, international social and economic news. It will greatly enhance your knowledge.

Stop forming local champion. Probably, you are operating in a box and thinks the world revolves around your local knowledge

There's some much to learn out there. Broaden your horizon. Wisdom is not your inheritance. There were people who were wiser than Methusellah.

What is "Hot money"? What is keynesian spending? What is an expansionary budget? What effect does an inflationary budget have on a currency? What is a loose monetary policy? How good is your economics?

My guess is you are still a student who's learning the basics.

I'm in the real world where theory is applied to daily occurrences. The stage you are, I had done almost 30 years ago.

In short, I'm a realist. I practicalize the economic challenges daily; I'm not a learner.

But does Canada have a rate of 1.45 officially and 2.50 at the black market? That is because the government there allowed the currency to depreciate naturally.

Buhari upon assuming power said he won't devalue the naira that he does not want Nigerians to suffer. Its like saying you don't like 1+1= 2.

There also no empirical prove that devaluation will solve the problem.

It's just a matching valuation of certain figure to a stated figure. It won't increase the reserve. Non essential importers are still going to demand for more dollars even at $1 to N1000.

Nigeria, as it is now, can't sustain the import of everything.

Canada do not use the same economic system as Nigeria. They are used to that type of economic determinant, where the controlling factor is free; per se, demand and supply in common language

What would you do over a time if you want to stop going miles to a friend to borrow a plate to put your food in other to eat?

Permit me to say, you lack conscience. You call d cries of people "ignorance" and "hatred". Lets say u re amongst those who live above d average and ure not affected by things as it is. Go to a market tomorrow and see how much prices have tripled, making it difficult for d low earned ones to meet up, taking dat incomes re even been reduced despite d rise in cost of living. Yes oda countries av their own issues and, take it or leave it, its citizens re also complaining. Our leaders re put in power for their citizens, to hear their cries and sort a way out for them. Things re beyond bad as it is ryt now in Nigeria nd people av to voice their hardships, its wats expected in democracy. I feel pain wen people come to my Mum's shop to buy something nd they re told how much prices have skyrocketed, leaving them with no option but to settle for little or nothing. People re suffering and in d last few months, it has become worse, the gov should help its citizens, Buhari should rise to d occasion and proffer lasting solutions rather than keeping up with d blame games. #painsinmyheart

You are finding it very hard to comprehend what ignorance means; that's is your bane.

There was no suggestion in what I wrote that says people should not complain.

When you curse, as most of them often do, you are inveriably showing your ignorance of what is going on globaly.

Buhari or any president for that matter, would never wish hardship on his citizenry.

Read to comprehend; show that you grasp the discourse or just give your own opinion.

Your conscience can't be as regenerated as mine. I've seen more than you've ever seen or witness.

It a pity most of you guys are ignorant of what is obtainable in international currency and the economic downturn facing all oil exporting countries.

Two years ago, $1 Canadian dollar was $1.18 US dollars.

Currently, it's $1.45 to $1 US dollars.

Every commodity has since double in price atleast, in Toronto.

So sad that some of you are ignorant or perphabs full of hatred.

I wonder who suffer most when you continue to wish evil on your government. Suffice to say this is even common amongst the poor, unemployable, tribalist
