Congratulations to the awardees. The wait has been worth it. For those bound to Malaysia, you can contact me to guide you. My School UTP is currently accepting applications for the September intake. If you are very smart with the application process, you can still travel and join them by October. For masters in Malaysia you need a Passport with at least 24 months validity and NDLEA certificate. For PhD you don't need the NDLEA certificate. You are free to contact me, Once again congratulations.

As of today, PTDF only offers scholarship to students in UK and GFM, China used to be on the list but currently on hold because of COVID-19

Youngman94:
Please friend I want to ask a question. I just joined the PTDF conversation. I have a admission from Canadian University and I have some assistantship support but I have to pay tuition fee. If I'm among the winner list of PTDF, can I present such admission to PTDF knowing fully well that Canadian Universities are not among those Universities where PTDF ask us to seek admission

Hello Everyone,

I can imagine how tensed you are right now. You guys were just like me last year before securing the scholarship. If you eventually secure the scholarship, especially for those who will be coming to Malaysia. You can contact me to guide you(NIG +2348020954207, MY +6013561728). So as not to make some mistakes that some of us made. Malaysia is very peaceful and the people are friendly, there's no doubt about it you would finish your program in record time.

As you await the list, I congratulate the successful ones in advance.

Can you please help with the range of PTDF Stipends. Thanks
mrphysics:

You can do anything you like provided it's within the country.

It becomes complicated when you are changing country.

You can study whatever you like.

I got for Physics and I ended up studying Nuclear Engineering in a different school.

Can we create a Whatsapp group for those who got the mails?

They’ll give dates for induction. But they may likely spread it out due to COVID. Some were saying induction might be virtual. I doubt. As you can see the email says “Kindly note that you are to print and come along with the completed Bio-Data Page, Acceptance Letter…” plus credentials.

In a normal system things shouldn't take this long but we all know how the system works, lobbying here and there just so they can give the scholarship to the annointed candidates. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope for a fair selection process. The rumour of the increased slots comes as a good one but let's just hope the new slots are not for sons and daughters of the elites, because I am tempted to ask, what will be the modality for choosing those new set of people? Ideally, in a system where fairness and equity prevails, the next three in order of performance should be the selected ones. Let's just keep hope alive

First, i must appreciate your resilience to study and i strongly believe that as much as you continue to strive to accomplish this nature will naturally make things work in your favour. Secondly, you write so well and have the ability to coordinate your opinion carefully and as such it makes me confused; are you truly what you claim or do you want to just generate a viral thread like most people do on this platform. If the former is true of you, then the sky is your starting point. Lastly, i want you to correct that notion that learning within the four walls of the higher institution as a full time will make you any better than those who study on part time. The world is filled with so many people who were self taught and still went on to do excellently than those who had to go through regimented systems of learning, with the recent advances in technology distance learning is the education of the future and is best we start embracing it. In my own opinion what I consider most important in learning is the will to do, once you have this it will help you to achieve so many things. Truth be told, there are some benefits attached to full time study but the bitter truth is studying part time doesn't make you of a lesser graduate than the one who studied full time. After all, we have full time students who come out of higher institution and are of no value to the system and the society at large. My hardworking Nigerian youth i will advise that if it is part time you can do that will make your academic journey worthwhile please do it with the whole of your mind and make the best out of it. God bless your efforts in Jesus Name ( Amen)

Hello, I have a perplexing question that I've been thinking about and would need help from you folks that have had the experience. I'm an o'level student, left secondary school 6years ago and have not had chance to go to school due to finance. Now I want to enroll for part time next year, so I'm contemplating between NOUN or running a part-time in Yabatech, I want to go for computer Science, and I can't go fulltime cos I'm self sponsored and would need to be working while I study. I'm in Lagos

My issue is this, I come from a quite a primitive setting and it has affected the way I see and think about things. E.g, I can hardly put correct English words together verbally, and I'm very much intimidated in the presence of educated people. This I want to change. And It would have been better if I go to a 'normal' full time school so as to really get 'educated and civilised, and change my overall way of thinking, speaking and doing things. This I believe will come from regular and steady mingling and coming in contact with refined, educated individuals, and regularly being in a scholarly environment.

If I run a part-time program or do self study through National Open University, I might not be able to achieve this. And it's one of the major reason I want to get educated. Please any way I can get through this? Or any words you might have for me, I'd appreciate your thoughts and advice.

Thanks for this. It's like a cold water offered to a man who has been scorched by the mid day sun

If not by the end of this week, then not later than next week. It used to take much longer than 3-4 weeks after the interviews for the list to be out, but because they most likely have concluded MSc selection since a long time ago and only have PhD list to compile, they can manage it in 3-4 weeks. And this is July, time is running out for September entry so they would try and hurry. 2018 list came out in July. 2019 list came out in June.
