The history of the beautiful game includes a prominent mention of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever step foot on a football field, set a number of records during his two decades spent playing at the highest level of the game.

And for some of these to be taken away from the Portuguese icon, it will take a tremendous effort on the part of other players.

Highest goalscorer at Real Madrid

Ronaldo reached the height of his talent after relocating to Spain. He destroyed record after record for Real Madrid as the Spanish powerhouses fought to reclaim some of their dominance from Barcelona.

Ronaldo broke the Spanish league record for the quickest player to reach 150 league goals. He completed it in just 140 matches.

He also led Madrid in league scoring with 311 goals. With 451 goals at the conclusion of his nine seasons in Spain, he was the nation's all-time leading scorer.

With each season at Madrid, he truly provided the world with a spectacle.

10+ goals in seven UCL seasons

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has scored 10 goals or more in seven different Champions League campaigns.

As if that weren't impressive enough, he assisted Los Blancos in winning four championships from 2011–12 to 2017–18.

Ronaldo has scored 140 goals in the Champions League, 11 more than Lionel Messi, who has 129.

Most goals in international football

Since making his Portugal debut in 2003, Ronaldo has scored 123 goals in 200 games.

Ali Daei, an Iranian striker who played for the national team for 13 years and scored 109 goals, previously held the record.

Of his 123 strikes, eight have arrived in the World Cup and 14 have come in the European Championships – a tournament high.

60+ goals in four consecutive calendar years

Ronaldo scored 60, 63, 69, and 61 goals annually between 2011 and 2014, respectively.

When he painfully missed by three goals in 2015, the streak came to an end.

With 91 goals scored for Barcelona and Argentina in 2012, Messi holds the record for the most goals scored in a single year.

Won every trophy at two different clubs
Ronaldo is the only player in football history to have triumphed with two different teams in the Champions League, Club World Cup, domestic league, domestic trophy, and domestic super cup.

These astounding trophy hauls occurred during Ronaldo's first stints at Manchester United and Real Madrid.

And on top of that, Ronaldo won the Player of the Year Award, Golden Boot and the Ballon d’Or at the same time at United and Madrid.

My mum had partial stroke and was admitted to LUTH. I was surprised by the display of high level of professionalism by one of the nurses. It happened that my mum was in serious pains and swollen tummy. The doctors couldn't really figure out the cause of the swollen tummy after several tests. One day one of the nurses noticed hard feaces coming out of her anus while taking care of her. She immediately called the attention of the doctor to it. It was the observation of the nurse that explained the the reason for the swolen tummy and excruciating pains. My mum has not been passing out faeces for up to two weeks or so, though she has been eating. I was with the nurse the day to evacuate the faeces. I was the one holding down my mum because the pain was too much for her and was really struggling with the nurse. The nurse was able to evacuate all the faeces after about an hour. My mum was greatly relieved after the evacuation. The swollen tummy dissapeared after few days. It was like a miracle. Because of the pains, she couldn't sleep for days without shouting in the night, but she slept well after the evacuation. All other patients in the ward testified to it the following day that she slept very well without the usual shouting. My mum was discharge about a month later to continue her treatment as an outpatient.

I was really impressed by the actions of this nurse in the way she took care of my mum and can conclude that some kind hearted people are still in this country. No matter the situation they will give their best in whatever they do. They may be few but they definitely exist. That's my experience in the hand of a nigerian nurse and it is a good and a memorable one. I can never forget this experience in my life though I may not recall the name of the nurse. If all of us can emulate this woman. This country will be a better place for us all.
