Okwa ana agwo ibi, ona eto afo? (As you are curing a patient of impotency, why would he be developing protruded stomach?). That is what I think of president Jonathan. These days pregnant women have their babies in vehicles oin the traffic created by insensitive leaders. The whole Lagos is on stand still now. God will judge.

We prayed with Nigerian 1st & 2nd stanza anthems yesterday at TBS during THE EXPERIENCE, my hairs were raised, goose bumps were all over me as I wondered at what what paradox the reality of this nation makes with that anthem.

But God, why are you so patient with the wicked? I don't have the moral values to take human lives, if I had, dying to free the crushed souls of the masses by making an example of a good number of these guys by giving them some horrific execution would be ecstatic to me than to keep living.

Oga, are you aware at all that no word is spoken without consequences; negetive or positive? Each day I observe the seduction of free thinking and freedom of speech on this forum, encouraging even people that should know the consequences to join the crowd and speak anyhow. I pity some of you guys.
You may soon need healing from your maker and learn what it takes to counter your careless speaking.

OBJ: You ke?, I'm going to double that bet. I will say that revolution from the youth is coming and that their President is not leading them well..."puff"
SLS: Is that all? I'm going to say that in order to fix the economic situation and hardship, the FGN should sack 50% of its civil servants. Who cares what impact it has on gratuities, pensions and compensation expenses...and who cares how many million more Nigerians will be unemployed..."Puff..."....."Puff"..."Exhale"
FOD: "puff"..."sniff"...."puff"; thats nothing - i'm going to say if we dont capture you on census then we take away your citizenship...."puff"..."puff"..."puff"
SLS: Haba...even me i cant say such a thing...what about the millions of Nigerians in Diaspora? if you dont capture them in the census and withdraw their passports do you realise the implications? Nigeria would have created tens of millions of refugees overnight.
FOD: Abeg leave me jare, i will say it and nobody can do a damn thing...abeg pass the lighter...."puff"

If he speaks about the plans for the outright removal of subsidy, I would like if he lists what has been achieved with the initial 50% removal as a proposal for further removal of the remaining 50%.

BTW, how do we forward our questions to him?

Lashawnah: Governor Peter Obi's newly built multi billion Naira mall
in Abuja! It is reportedly the highest and most
expensive mall in the whole of Africa. This man couldn't do this for Anambra, he did this for himself and his family.. Ohh lord, What a country !

BTW @ OP, where is your source? My arguemnt is on PO's CV against his acheivement and not your story. Provide a link to this story pls.

And who told you that Obi has not developed and industrialized Anambra beyond every other SE state?

Obi brought the singular FDIs worth over 15B..am talking of Sabmiller has been commissioned and running. This is singular investment that affected positively to Anambra and Nigeria at large.

Obi is developing all the sector simutenoulsy without looking back..

Bro, don't tell me about my state where I grew and schooled. I was at Nnewi during Ojukwu's burial and couldn't belive what the environment I was familiar with had turned to. PO may have brought a few FDIs, but look at his CV again and tell me why that state has not progressed beyond the way he met it?

But the Federal roads are causing the state gross losses, and BTW that road wasn't the only eye sore I saw there. Which investor would put his money in that state? That is why he rather invested at Abj, good business man of course.

The above adds to my shock why the man still cannot develop the State. He just sits there and keeps complaining about poor federal allocation while Fashola is busy looking for means of IGRs to develop his state. Chimaroke came straight from London and was literally unopposed as we was seen as a messaih, but I don't want to go into how the man destroyed both the state and himself.

I know that there are forces that fight against development and good governance, but is it only in Nigeria they prevail.

Both the led and our leaders travel abroad and see how things work, many have made things work even where they worked abroad, but once they return here they loose it.

About 2 years ago When I traveled the Onitsha-Enugu express way where I used to ply in my campus days I saw unimaginable filth and gullies on a once smooth highway and was wondering what Governor Peter Obi was doing with all his experinces and qualifications leading those companies.

I'm short of words.

wizb: Can you make something like macaroni and cheese? I don't really know how that will work considering the Nigerian weather and cheese. But I think if you can make a semi cooked food that won't require refrigeration, filling enough(not like noodles), healthy enough for diabetics, easy too cook and cheap, you will sell.

The Chees and macaroni thing sounds great. Do you have any such product existing anywhere? I'd like to have the name and look it up.

I'm also interested in knowing about existing brands we can franchise and produce here.

Death count: Isreal 3, Gaza residents 27.

PapaBrowne: Would work depending on two things.
1) Taste
2) Ease

If it tastes as good as whats already existent, then be sure it should work.
The other factor is Ease of use. Interestingly, some of these ready made meals require almost the same effort to prepare as the regulars.

But you are on track sha. I've always wondered why Nigerians are kinbd of slow with innoivation.

Imagine that till today we have modernised Akamu, Palmwine, Kuli kULI, Akara, Kunu, Zobo and all our other local deliccacies.

You might just be unto some big. A revolution of some sorts. My advice would be to make some products. Few quatities and package them properly. Give it to friends and family and see their reaction. Don't inform them its your new business plan so they can give you realistic opinions.

Yay! Finally.

Bro, yes the Nigerian market can so stubbornly stick to their pounded yam and egusi kinda diet, but I think the problem lies more with the promoters of new foods. I was so shocked conversing with an ex-Nestle friend an hour ago that Nestle was actually the first mover of noodles and had to sell off their facilities to Indomie after one year of not making profit. Now indomie makes turnover in tens of billions of naira.

But what other quick-to-make meals are doing well in relative markets like India and SA? What do you think about a semi made powdered pepper soup seasoning that you pour in your fish/meat stock and go savor? Is there any seasoning anywhere in the world that tastes like what we would like here and can source its recipe 60% here?

They like putting the cart b-4 the horse.

That may be true, but considering the rumor that Boko Haram was already buying bykes and sending their members as spies to survey the state, the "Cart-before-the-horse" decision could be laudable.

Now, cam we get off the blame game and start thinking? I eat from creativity, my brain has been busy since that ban on finding ways to create alternative means of income for those guys and make some good money. Any smart person should know that BRF's government is under strong criticism now, I don't think the usual bureaucratic processes of proposing deal to the government may apply to this opportunity.

My questions are:
What problems are currently the headaches of LSG which need lots of semi skilled labour to tackle?
What other acceptable means of transportation acceptable to BRF's mega city standard can we develop (this may include enhancing existing ones)

I had while the ban was brewing, developed a smart strategy and moblised Honda Manufacturing, Boxer Motorcycle manufacturers, MOALS (Lagos State-wide Okada association) to promote a training that will civilize Okada operators in the state, as well as other key stakeholders concerned but politics didnt let them agree to organise, now they are all big losers.

C'mon, I need creative guys here!

I went through a thread on this board about different alternative ways to prepare noodles, there I realized that many grown up males can't even make noodles, lol.

Now come to think of students, bachelors, and a lot of busy families that will appreciate "semi made foods".

My wife returned from an SA trip recently and said a lot about such foods and seasonings in their market...I'm just wondering how much our taste and buying culture is different from theirs.

The middle class usually determine whether new products survive or not and I believe allot of them are on Nairaland here. I am open to the ideas and criticisms as well, as this is of course still a concept.

I am currently researching the South African foods. Their market is a lot more open to products like this. I saw an advert on DSTV by a SA company for Nigerian market of a seasoning you mix with boiled rice and it give you something like a jellof rice.

Anyway, the Nigerian market is not so far behind, I can vividly remember when indomie was being introduced to Nigeria, it was like "are these guy dumb?" but we all know whats up now..it an over N100bn size market in Nigeria now.

Common guys, with the way our lives get busier by the day, do you think we are ready for more tasty, healthy quick-to-make diets?

Okay, I don't know if I should actually post this on the food or business section, I am hopeful of having this on the front page as I would like to sample the opinion of as many Nigerians as possible.

Probably most companies do not go this route of feasibility studies, but it is better to have a salable product that the first mover advantage of not letting competition know what you are up to, but have the product fail in the market.

I develop businesses for one of Nigeria's conglomerates, our existing product lines give us the economies of scale of using our existing facilities, resources and raw materials to start producing more seasonings for cooking (stew, soup etc, eg maggi); complete seasonings for instant foods like doodles, spaghetti, rice (something so competent that one could rather buy it to cook his noodles against the one in the pack); instant complete seasoning for soups/stews, eg just put stock with meat and stir and have a tasty peepersoup for your meal; I know some companies have tried powdered soups and failed, but is there any other way around it?; Ladies that own the kitchen, is there any better way to make your cooking more easy or irresistible either by processing of something ready to use or non-existing seasoning?; everybody do you wish we have more diets beyond our limited ones or have you eaten any delicacy abroad that you believe their ingredients can be sourced 60% from Nigeria and wished it is available here in Naija?

That's enough questions already, oya lets make Nigeria tastier wink cool . What do y'all think?
