I am sorry but I don't believe this story at all..

60% of rape stories on Twitter now are fake.

Not in this case. She's a well known AUN student. It took serious courage from her to say this. Read her story very well.

Crime / Senator Muhammad Bima's Son Accused Of Rape In AUN by birdviewers: 12:26am On Jun 05, 2020
The son of Muhammad Bima a Nigerian senator representing Niger South Senatorial District of Niger State has been called out on twitter for raping a girl at the American University of Nigeria (AUN).

Recall, Senator Muhammad Bima is the Nigerian senator who introduced a bill to ban the importation and use of generators in Nigeria. His son Ibrahim Muhammad Bima popularly known as Yung Bree, who recently graduated from AUN has been accused of raping a girl and defaming her as well.

The victim who was a 16 years old freshman at the time revealed that Bima AKA Yung Bree who is popularly known in AUN for his dancing and music endeavors invited her to his room for some dance tutorials. In the process, he proceeded to sexually abuse her. Not only that, he further went ahead to slut-shame and defame the victim around the school. As a result, the victim felt emotionally wrecked to the point of attempting suicide.

He was called out through Twitter. So far, due to his popularity in school, he has garnered support from his friends and former classmates and soliciting other top AUN staff to come to his defense. From the look of the event, he might result in involving his father's political position to intimidate the victim and avoid facing justice.

Issues of Sex Abuse and Predation in AUN

The issue of sexual abuse and rape at the American University of Nigeria is one that deserves serious attention as many girls especially those who come in freshly from secondary schools are the victims. These issues hardly see the light of day or get reported as the boys who perpetrate these acts claim to be upcoming musicians and school celebrities. Using their fame in school, they set up parties in rooms and nearby hotels with bountiful alcohol and weed. During the parties, they proceed to drug their victims and take advantage of them. By the time the victim regains consciousness, there's is usually no proof. And when confronted, they result in threatening and defaming the victims.

One of such similar case that was revealed involves a student named Abel, who is popularly known as Jaguar or Jaguar Abel. One such incident involves a girl who revealed that Abel had taken her to eat and drink. As it got late, her friends tried calling her but she could not be reached and at some point, her phone was turned off. They also tried to call Abel but he was not answering. The next morning, the girl was found lying in the bushes and no one knew what happened. Additionally, this is not the first time Abel will be accused of drugging and raping a girl and getting away with it. Most times, his friends come to his defense asking for proof and proceed to intimidate and defame the victim. This mostly because there is no proof as the girls are drugged and lose consciously throughout the ordeal.

Please, this needs to be seen by a lot of people to be addressed as situations like this will continuously repeat in AUN with more girls becoming victims and unable to voice out their ordeal.
