Family / Re: After Marriage, How Long Should People Wait To Have Kids by Biskemi: 3:20pm On Oct 10, 2019
Wait for at least a year to get to know one another very well emphasis on each others shortcomings and deal breakers. Before bringing kids into the setting.
Just in case you realise you both are not compatible. You can walk away without complications.
Even for those that are compatible it gives them time to enjoy one another's company because when children come along its a full time job oh no break whatsoever.
Asides children it gives them enough time to construct their life in a direction they look forward to.

Pls avoid being dirty wash your bedsheet, beddings and cloths well and at least weekly.
avoid using diffrent brands of detergent if possible use omo.
Drink a lot of water, take fruits daily eat healthy.
Take a bath twice a day. Change your sponge often.
You will get a lot of recommendations today but be careful not to use anything harsh.
I will recommend a brand to you called sebamed it is very very good but a bit expensive.
Check a pharmacy close to you but if it is proving difficult for you to find you will find it on jumia platform.
It isn't magic but use it for a month and you will thank me later.

Please my people, help a starving brother. I have been pleading for help for some days now. I'm a student who returned to school last week because of the prospects of exams starting on Monday and also because I was opportuned to enter a free ride. my family isn't bouyant enough and my dad has severe high BP that's why I had to find my way so as not to make him to start thinking about where to get money to give me. I haven't eaten a decent food since I got back and am starving.

I am soliciting for help from well meaning people who will be touched enough to hear my plight and have mercy. I am not asking for much, no matter how little, it will go a long way. God bless you all

Business / Re: I Have 30k-40k As A Student, What Business/Investment Can I Start? by Biskemi: 11:31pm On Feb 27, 2019
You can start a drycleaning service or do room cleaning service at a cost. Use part of that money for awareness like flyers. Mobilize like 2 students for a start as coworkers on pay as you work basis.

Romance / Re: My Friend Brings Ladies To My House For Sex. I'm Depressed Now by Biskemi: 7:59am On Feb 14, 2019
Well don't act like your angry or pissed. Just smile with him then when he goes out. Pack all his load. If you have a gateman or a close neighbour drop all his load there and talk to your close friend and go stay there for a week. When he calls direct him to where his load is and explain you had an emergency call that warrants you to travel out of town and you don't know when you will be returning.
Also free him and his business OK.
You even have nothing to worry about since your house gate isn't the type that is opened and unwanted visitors can stroll in. Your the one troubling yourself.
As for your reputation no problem ignore your neighbours you don't owe them nothing. They don't pay your rent. With time you will feel better.
One more thing before he leaves your house tell him its a rule in your house not to knock the gate that when next he is coming home a flash will do.
We both know he isn't coming back to your house because you won't be available and with this info he won't want to knock next time.
Business / How Does Numerous Discounts On Seller Platforms Like Jumia Affect Your Business by Biskemi: 11:53pm On Jan 23, 2019
This is a very informative discussion for sellers who sell on platforms like jumia, konga and the likes.

So as a seller who is registered on these platforms, you get notifications that a discount period is coming up which could be inform of flash sales, black Friday, clearance sales and the likes. And your asked if you will like to join. How do you respond to this instances?

This is a topic up for discussion and am not trying to be biased or influence your decisions when these instances come up.

As for me I feel these platforms hardly care about you the seller whether you make any profit or not.

Most times they receive commissions as high as 20%. You the seller most times have to pay a monthly fee to put up your products for display. Such as the case of Konga. They have the subscription of 2500 or 1000 naira per month.

If you as a seller import your goods there will be a logistic fee. You then calculate your profit then add the platforms commission. Your also to pay 2500 subscription monthly. You do your maths and share these costs evenly amongst your products so as to meet up. Which your not even guaranteed of selling all to meet up before month ends.

You also calculate logistic cost to take items to distribution centres when you have an order.
You get to a distribution centre where you are to print out the order details at a cost and also purchase packaging items.

Not to mention the selling competition out there, which is more of a rat race. With each seller trying to be competitive by introducing a lower price than his competitor in order to get the customer to himself.
These factors translates to the seller trying to look for the cheapest price since buyers most times go for the cheaper price against quality. This in turn brings about a lot of counterfeit products being sold on these platforms by desperate sellers.
A seller already has to keep up with this.
Then these platforms periodically come up with these crazy discounts which your invited to enter. Yes its not mandatory. But if you don't enter the discounts as a seller, this will definitely affect your sales because people are trying to get value for their money. By buying at the lowest price possible for the same value.
Trust me I know this is frustrating for a seller.
Some of these discounts can go on for a month at a stretch.
And without even given sellers a break to recover from splitting there supposed income in less than a week after a discount ends they introduce another discount session which goes on for another stretch period.
Most times these platforms commission doesn't reduce or even stop because of the discount trend.
Then from time to time they ask you to pay for ads and promotions for your store to be more visible these prices ranges from a certain value to as much as 10,000naira.
These seller platforms also sell their own products and still compete with you. Such an instance is their global sales on Jumia.
Due to all these factors a lot of counterfeit products are being introduced to these sites by desperate sellers who try to maximise profit. This in turn affects the credibility of the site and also affects the sales outcome of genuine sellers because of this bitter experiences of heightened counterfeit products and its rumours.
From my point of view it's not bad to offer discounts from time to time such as the black Friday which as the name implies is mostly a Friday thing. More like a day in a week as against the whole week. For me it's more like giving back to your customers and saying thank you for your patronage. Which is not a bad thing if it happens occasionally. But when these discounts are being putting up for a long period of time for like a month continuously it ends and then another discount is being brought up almost immediately. To me this is so wrong and this trend affects the sellers in more ways than you can think of.
It makes me view these platforms as users not minding if their partners are loosing at the long run so far they are winning with their constant non flexible commission charges, promotion cost, subscription fee and its likes.

As a seller do you think all these are right?
Nairaland / General / Seeking For A 2 Bedroom Apartment At Opic Isheri North by Biskemi: 5:27am On Jun 03, 2018
: 12:22am
Good day beautiful nairalanders I hope this makes front page.
Am in need of a newly built 2 bedroom apartment at Opic Isheri north preferably upstairs (note the newly) . My specifications entails each room being ensuite, a visitors toilet, good standard kitchen, and quality wood works in the rooms and kitchen. Living room and if possible a store. Will also prefer if it's in an estate like heritage or oshorun. My preference for these areas is because I will prefer a dry soil , and a good and clean water system(very important).
But if you have another subestate outside this 2 within Opic where the water is not hard and very good for use. I don't mind.
I will also like a very neat compound, which is tilled, security fenced, spacious parking space, maximum of 4 tenants in a compound. A plus is a security guard .a smooth and accessible road network.
My budget is 600000-650000.
Please if your certain you have apartments with my preference, kindly drop your wats app business line in the comments section. Will definitely reach out to you.
I will appreciate if you have the property pictures to send to me when I reach you before we go for inspection.
Lastly I am not a party to paying inspection fees and having multiple chains of agent but am ready to deal if I see my choice .
