Success in its entirety is not linear. That is, it is not straightforward. There are different qualities found among different high achievers. But the list below outlines basic qualities that had been seen to have high repetitive tendencies among achievers and successful people.

Here are Top 10 qualities of great achievers and successful people:

1. LOVE
Most people rush into various careers and fields because of its popularity. But the test of every decision would be based on the pursuers character after the initial zeal is gone.
Desire would keep a man after he has lost his initial motivation.
Desire is not a seasonal objective. Desire or love for something or pursuit is timeless, unlike motivation which comes and goes. Taking a career, path or decision because it is high in demand and profitable, is an important factor to consider, but zeal is more important.

To live this life would require love, faith and courage - Abraham Lincoln.


2. FAITH
"Now faith is the substance of things hope for, evidence of things not seen" Hebrew 12:1 (The Bible)

Successful people see, before doing. Before a house is built, it must have first been imagined and presented in a pictorial format. Faith are unseen realities. Great Achievers and Successful people see with their minds, before they do with their hands. Faith is that which keeps you going when you haven't yet seen physical results. It is that inward believe that keeps a man going, without visible proves. Life was designed to be operated by faith. It is faith that still makes people to go to school despite the low employability among developing countries. It is faith that made Mark Zee of Facebook to drop out of Harvard for a dream that he has not seen, in hope that Facebook might become big one day, thereby more profitable and rewarding that the time invested in school. To live this life and achieve something vital, we must believe in the unseen realities within our inner self.

3. COURAGE
Courage is not the absence of fear as some see it, rather Courage is been afraid and doing otherwise. Without fear there can be no courage. We cannot say that we are courageous when there has been no challenge of fear. Fear focuses on the safe game, "do nothing and be safe." Courage takes the bold step, without regards to the end result.

Courage is a muscle, and like every other muscle, it is built and developed consistently. Men are not born courageous, rather the develop it in fear. You want to start that business, you want to take that path, you want to be sure, sure of the future. Because of fear you stand still and end up doing nothing.

We all have things that we wish to become. We might want to earn better, become the best in our school, achieve amazing results in a goal, become better smarter and more intelligent, and so on.

There are always excitement about dreams, there are always excitement to share our monthly goals, life visions, new year commitments with people.

I have always discovered that the more that I try to explain to people my dreams, they more they misunderstood me.

“That's not going to work. Nigeria is not like that, no one has done that before.”

To achieve a great amount of success in whatever field, would require a great amount of loneliness.
The innovator path is a lonely path.
“Those that follow the crowd, cannot be followed by a crowd” - Unknown
One of the prize for success is misunderstanding. Only but a few, if not all would misunderstand your dreams.
It is very common for humans to debunk what they do not understand. “Emeka, no one can pass that exam by mere reading” - we hear things like this.

Humans love recognition, it is but in the pursuit of recognition and support that we spend our whole time telling different and legions of people our dreams, instead of spending those valuable times in actual pursuit of those dreams. We are always playing the conviction game.

Final Thoughts
Don't tell people your dreams, they would kill it for you. Or better still, be very careful of people that you tell your dreams. In the pursuit of dreams, family and friends, can be obstacles and discouragement
