Religion / Re: At What Age Can Infants Or Children Accept Christ? by bixton(m): 11:18am |
God2man2again: If your question means making them to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, then we should take a clue from the Scriptures. At age 12 Christ Jesus was already in the temple and we all know what He was doing there. Luke.2.42 - And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. Luke.2.47 - And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. Luke.2.48 - So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously." Luke.2.49 - And He said to them, "Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" From the above I'll say probably it's better a child be made known to Jesus from the age of 8. For me as a little child though I can't remember saying any of it, but it's what my mum tells me , that whenever I return home from school (this is my nursery school days) that I do normally tell her that my auntie at school says that we should tell our parents t take us to church and do it repeatedly almost every week.....this event happens during the early '80s. So if a child's life is allowed to form from the nursery school such child is taken to the church or given to a good teacher of the word that will teach the Scripture to the child and the child will have informed knowledge of Jesus Christ and God and even the Holy Spirit at an early age. So with children it varies but as long as a child is watched and such been noticed to differentiate between right and wrong and a godly child will ask certain questions that will make you know that this one is ripe to be lead to Jesus and a proper follow up is made. It is one thing to know Jesus and another thing to have a relationship with Him. Many believers fall on the knowing aspect just like the Pharisees and Sadducees.... It take the grace of God in all of these. One of the major flaws about Christianity is making someone become so religious but never ever coming to the Truth. |

Afonja44: This is just VOA reporting.... Whoever is the judge that will give death penalty to anyone of those children who protested irrespective of what they did should think well and very well....... Even PBAT and all those in power should have a rethink about this or even allowing any judge make such pronouncement........ |
Politics / Re: Marketers Plan To Sell Petrol Below ₦1,028/Litre Dangote Price by bixton(m): 11:56am On Nov 02 |
nairalanda1: You say substandard fuel from Europe, I guess they have companies who do that which they can bring into Nigerian and other African countries for the vehicles we equally buy from them be it brand new and mostly second new? The moment Dangote came into the sector has told us that his own is better and has to be expensive!!!!!! Right. Is it not abnormal that the NNPC wonia supposed to produce same is buying from another at a reduced rate and selling at very good profit margin? Dangote has refused to say the actual cost of producing the PMS, well for reasons best known to him!!! I guess we don't have to question those who also rely on said the fuel to produce their commodities why they should sell at a high price? It is only in Nigeria that home grown things are more expensive that the one imported. 1 Like |

By the grace of God, I have known names of persons who come from his area and LGA right from the time of Gov. Peter Odili. Please tell me from which year did his name start making the rounds? What has all the so called possible purported good actions brought the economy into? If care is not taken you'll see that part of their campaign policies for second tenure will be that policies needs time to gain the desired results for the betterment of all !!!!! I'm sure whoever will be bring up this selling point did not sit down and rethink before they actually protested against the PGEJ government and administration. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Electricity Consumers Demand Disconnection Over Rising Tariffs by bixton(m): 8:06am On Nov 02 |
Estimated billing is a huge scam that those involved needs to be killed... This is how exactly estimated billing is done in Bayelsa State....... It doesn't matter if you're out to work or in the house, it's always a constant. At the specified time, the PHED officials go to the transformer within each location, measure the power supply that was passed through the meter of the transformer and arbitrarily prepare the estimated bills for that month. This process is done every month. If you let them come into your house and they see the appliances you have they will tell you that's it's even cheaper, what they were giving you originally. Even if someone was to be indoors in his hours and would not go out , how many appliances would be using electricity constant for longer durations apart from fridge/freezer? How many hours can one watch television now that one can do a lot with his android phone? How many hours does one have to use the pressing iron for clothes? How many hours do one use washing machine and how frequent do you even use it? How many hours do you use your hot plate for heavy cooking which is regular except you dey run a restaurant? The list is endless..... But this scammers cease not to amaze us when they come with bills. Why would anyone pay bills for something not seen or even used? Though I know some people do not like to pay but how about those of us who are paying for things not seen used. There has been no light in the entire State for more than 3 months and PBAT is not aware because they said PHED is owned by a former president but the North did not see light for just 10 days but a Presidential order was given and it was rectified. |
Politics / Re: Tinubu Ignores Shettima-Led NEC Recommendation, Insists On Tax Reform Bills by bixton(m): 7:28am On Nov 02 |
WizardOfNG: Forget all these stories. There's no connection between having world best standard tax policies or whatever you can call it to having a world class standard of living.....This is absolutely impossible in Nigeria. A place where politicians are bigger that government institutions that are supposedly to be independent,a place where the rich and wealthy are bigger than institutions that are supposed to remand their in prison,a place where corrupt politicians who occupy government positions and institutions are not accountable and can't be held accountable for mismanagement of public funds and abuse of powers. Lastly, it's not whether the policies are perfect or world standard, the real issue is which man or woman, boy or girl is ready to do that which will make that world class standard made in Nigeria. Some of these people have been in politics since the creation of Nigeria and their villages are still living in darkness, imagine reading in the news that a community after over hundred years of existence is celebrating having a toilet built. 1 Like |

tundegan: Gov. Fubara will not be fine. Anyone who is double tongue and given to emotions is never fine because the issues are of great trouble and concern giving him sleepless nights. It's just like former PGEJ coming out with smiling face to tell Nigerians that he is okay with his decision about conceding defeat to PMB. Forget about the looks on people's face, there are many whose hearts are so much demonic compared to whatever anyone would accuse Wike of. The Nigeria judiciary is so rotten that people begin to doubt their capability. Yesterday, the judiciary was the last hope man, but today, the reverse is the case The bolded is true for all States of the federation. So it's not just whether it is a SHC or FHC. Pbatmedia: Some of this just are just video games. Sometimes I laugh over the kind of leaders we have and their sense of reasonings many a times.... Bayelsa State Governor wants IOCs to bring their HQ to the State , is that not the same thing Rivers State has been shouting as well, how about Delta State, will they be denied same too? So Gov.Diri can't look at the FG laws regading stoppage of gas flaring and enact laws in the State that will make the IOCs to stop it or mitigate it. Sometimes I just believe we don't have governors who are actually knowledgeable enough and be able to think through and reason. Na this Bayelsa State we dey for 4 months now no light and we don't think the PBAT has heard it but those northern states that don't have light for just 10 days are known by PBAT. Please does this imply that the affidavits and oaths they took have been amended because to me that's what to withdraw part would mean..... In as much as I know that even such affidavit can't actually stand in court for this particular case but does Gov. JASONjnr: Those who are brainwashed are the one who are putting up a fight against private ownership of airstrip by individuals and organisations and givng out flimsy reasons behind such. The insecurity in the North and that in the East and other parts of the country is it as a result of those who own private airstrip? Does the proliferation of arms, drugs and ill-gotten wealth come through private airstrips? For me I don't really think any christian organization needs a private airstrip irrespective of the reason for that is not christianly. But the reasons given by the senators are ill-conceived. 2 Likes |

Bobloco: To the best of my understanding, Gov. Fubara is not been truthful in certain of these things. A lot of things were itemized on the peace pact agreement. Was it Gov. Fubara that took the SHA to court or they took him to court that he is the one to withdraw the case? Is it not the person who instituted the case that will withdraw the case? Is that not how they do out of court settlement? What exactly is there to hide? What other things were on that peace pact that he refused to accent to the moment he came to Rivers State from Abuja after listening to his so called advicers? Gov. adolfHitler1934: You can say this is Nigeria but the way the political landscape is in that SHA, you can't buy those men. This is way more than integrity and loyalty. Those men were in the game while he was still a civil servant and accountant general of the state. Those men had been working with Gov. Wike. Those men were the people who worked with Wike and ensured he became governor against many odds and opponents. Even the former LGC chairman worked for him through Wike to ensure he is governor. So, how much of Rivers State allocation will he be giving them and for how long can he do that if it's all about money? Is it not this same money we were meant to believe the former governor wanted from him!!!!! There's so much Gov. Fubara is yet to tell Rivers State people about the real issue between him and his Boss. All I can say is that na gossip we dey gossip. 3 Likes |

Georgry: You can't take the same case on same subject matter to the HC again. I don't believe anyone ambushed Gov. Fubara in that saying because he withdraw. The agreement he had with PBAT on white paper specified certain things to be done by him. Now if he wants us to believe that he was told to withdraw the case of which he did, also note that the other party is supposed to withdraw as well because it's a two way thing!!! Those who went with him to the peace pact have not even come out to say that PBAT deceived them if that is the case..... From my own perception Gov. Fubara did not carry through on those agreement on that pact the moment he came back to Rivers State from Abuja for reasons best known to him. So you'll see he is speaking from both sides of his mouth. You can't be saying you don't have any problem with PBAT and on the other hand you'll taunting the president. There hare things you don't do as an administrator on public television. 4 Likes |
Politics / Re: Fubara Appeals As Court Stops Rivers Allocations by bixton(m): 7:02am On Oct 31 |
Eboski: It's an appeal in futility. There's no court that will give him judgment because there's still no court that has declared vacant the seats of 27 others. We are being told that there's a case at the Supreme Court with respect to that but I can't seem to say from where because the Appeal Court previously said the Rivers State High Court lacks jurisdiction and so can't declare those seats vacant. On another case the FHC said he should resubmit the budget to the proper SHA members. I still don't know who Gov. Fubara is taking advice from but it all seems like they will not work in his favour. He's attitude shows lack of maturity in handling such things. 3 Likes 1 Share |
