Angelina Jolie has, on Monday, filed for divorce from her husband Brad Pitt, shortly after the two year anniversary of their marriage, listing the date of separation as September 15, 2016. Angelina and Brad Pitt got married in August, 2014, having been living together since 2004. The Oscar winning actress filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, it was gathered.

The Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the Bomb Explosion in New York on Saturday. The suspect was arrested in Linden, New Jersey. The explosion, which occurred in a Chelsea Neighborhood in Manhattan, New York, injured 29 persons. Two officers sustained injuries from gun shots during the shoot-out but are expected to be OK according to the Mayor of Elizabeth, Christian Bollwage. Ahmed Khan Rahami is said to be originally from Afghanistan but naturalised as a US citizen and has an address in Elizabeth, New Jersey according to US authorities.

The gigantic status and achievements of the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, has been showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Film makers from Nollywood, the city of Lagos in particular, were given the opportunity to showcase their glowing entertainment skills and potential in an event during which eight Nigerian films were screened. The past editions had featured films from London, Mumbai and Seoul.
