Travel / Re: Japa Propaganda And The Mindset Of The Nigerian Youths by Bizstud: 3:33am On Dec 30, 2022
Samunique:
I've watched with amazement and bewilderment how the social media nairaland inclusive, have been filled with the stories of leaving Nigeria to other countries with the impression that, once they get there their problems are over. I think this big fat lie will hunt, and may destroy our future generations if nothing is done about it.

1. They believe once you leave the shores of this country, you have nothing to worry about again bcs automatic success is now guaranteed. If this is true, what happens to many Nigerians that are now stranded after so many years abroad ? Is the system over there a contributory factor as well

2. Government is bad !
Yes Nigerian government is very bad, if not the worst in the whole world. But then, who is the government, isn't it you and I ? Are we forgetting that a government is a product of the society and the reflection of its people ?
If the government is bad, then we're bad as a people !

This very generation of Nigerian youths is worse than the current leaders of the pass/outgoing generation they're blaming.

At least, our current leaders did not practice Yahoo Yahoo, Yahoo plus, they did not steal women pants for money ritual, they didn't engage in kidnapping for quick money etc in their time. But this generation does and even far worst things. I'm not in anyway exhonorating them bcs they have really messed up this country. But this generation is now worst than them.

Yes our pass and current leaders steal our collective wealth ? They did/do so bcs we allow them to, based on ethic, tribal and religious sentiments. In fact continuous stealing is only possible in the society of thieves and robbers. If all we could produce as leaders are thieves and looters, then that's who we all are as a people.

These same people that are preaching "JAPA" now, will never obey a simple traffic rule while in Nigeria, but they're there now throw every kind of stone against their own country.
Ask them what's their own contribution back home towards nation building.

Did they ever obey simple traffic rule?

What about paying their taxes, what was their contribution to social development and services etc ?

These things and more they're willingly do over there bcs they know that the
[b]the sicitzens of those countries make law and systems to work not even the governments
, and they cannot hid under a finger. Remove the law and oder over there, and see them showing their true colours.

Lastly, I think there are some external forces behind this sudden propaganda of japa. I know Nigeria is at it worst state since it started as a nation, but if we all run away, who will rescue and build it, where would we run back to when the jungle is matured outside ?

Nations are built by their citizens.

And for those of you outside Nigeria whose job now is to mock and denigrate the country, remember your people are still leaving here.

Some are even going as far as mocking God, the two major religions, saying all manner of things against the church, mosque etc. For your information, Nigerians have always been religious, it's in our DNA. There's a time Nigeria was working, our currency was better than the British pounds. My mother's senior brothers who schooled in the UK came back to Nigeria to work, and that didn't make people less religious.

Maybe you forgot, I will remind some of you that, some of your parents wouldn't have been educated but for the help the church and missionary Schools .

The truth none of these major presidential race runner will deliver.

Do not forget Jonathan got our support but was unable to deliver because of others around him. This will most likely happen to Peter Obi. Labour party is a minority in senate and several states of the country.

Tinubu is most likely to deliver because he is the influence and cannot be influenced. We will know if he's truly a good man or bad now that he has all with him. The only fear i have with him is not to turn the country to his family business venture. He's most likely going to win this race because he's bought loyalties of many that rose true him. He also knows how to play the game called Nigeria politics. He's THE GAME.

ATIKU on the other hand doesn't have a good name in the past even with northerners. Who's willing to vote for someone who stays and invested a whole lot in Dubai leaving his homeland unkept.

But the painful aspect is that majority of the people being affected will deliberately vote in misfits because he/she is of same tribe and religion. How can misfits come up with a positive policy? Wrong policies have a direct impact on the condition of living in any society. Just imagine handing power to local miscreants or thugs in your area and one expect things to change for the better? Countries that are performing well, are they not same humans as we have in Africa? It seems one has to slow down in letting people know the consequences for voting misfits, because no matter what one say a lot of people are already consumed by hatred and bigotry. They can't think straight again. You all will be surprised by 2023 election able bodied men and women will dress up and stand under the sun to cast their votes for misfits.

This isn't our problem. Nigerians are nigeria's problem. An average Nigerian is bad. Remember no one was born into power. They were all elected into it yet things are getting worse. Meaning at a point, buhari, other past presidents and people in authority were once an average Nigerian. So as the next sets are presently average Nigerian. This is the harsh reality many don't understand. The way out is SMEs. People hoarding funds should disburse to the economy by creating jobs for the youths. Yahoo boys inclusive.they claim getting back what our colonial masters took from us then. These colonial masters stole from us to better their lives and country which is obvious today. Today, many of us are dying to leave this country to their country developed with funds stolen from us. We can replicate this from what we are recovering from them with yahoo instead of flaunting and intimidating people around. There are a lot of opportunities to explore in this country.

You need to be whole before you venture into relationship. Codependent relationship doesn't worth it either. Both parties should be whole if not, you will find yourself lonely while in relationship/marriage. An independent introvert are the best sets of persons you will never regret being in relationship with. They are loyal, honest and very caring with their introspective ability. Funny enough, they talk alot in the right gathering. They just hate drama, fake people and toxicity because it drains their energy

*Who would you forgive between a friend who denied you and one who betrayed you ?*

*And is there any difference between the two? I mean, denial and betrayal?*

Judas betrayed Jesus, Peter denied Jesus... If Jesus was not killed, who do you think he'd mostly had forgiven...?

Mynd44 lalasticlala seun

Denial of course. Peter denied Jesus to avoid been persecuted (which might cost his life). No sane true friend would expect his friend to die along with/for him.

A friend that betrayed you already killed you.

Denial means avoid dying for a friend. Betrayal means killing a friend.

We all know men are usually attracted to attractive females, that can not be disputed. Also not so easily disputable is the fact that most women are not good at taking up situations of much pressure, hence most women when faced with economic, social and general survival problems easily take to prostitution, even though there can never be any legitimate justification for such heinous Sins. In view of the dire and hard economic situation in the country, I really think guys shd try and lend a helping hand to some of the good moral ladies who may have resorted to runs after interviewing them and finding them not really prostitute materials, i e, those who are caught up by circumstances beyond their control.

No excuse for venturing into prostitution. Don't rationalize prostitution in anyway please. Guys are mostly suffering than ladies. We have several illegal options to venture into like armed robbery, kidnapping, yahoo, money ritual etc yet some of us with conscience chose to stay legit. They can also do so. The world we are female genders are mostly favoured over male counterpart platonically speaking.

Both of them can make you lose everything if there is no risk management. The rule is to be a sport trader not a sport gambler .

Sports bet(live sport) is better than forex or crypto. At least you know this is live match. Just place bets on important matches to avoid fixed matches. At least you are sure nothing is going on underground as oppose to forex and crypto where you don't know if financial houses, bougies and crypto whales(major influencers of the market) are entering or exiting the market.

that's serious o,someone has been asking me to start attending the tutorial ..I thought it's a straight business.

I will give you little analysis.

Sport bet(not virtual sport bet), you will see the reason why you lost your bet. How it happened being a live match which everyone is watching. Forex and crypto trading has individuals/corporate(financial institutions, hedge funds managers, crypto whales and high net worth person's like Elon musk) organisations with huge funds that can influence the market at any hour of the day/night with their huge sum. But sport bet, just a match of few minutes/hours and you are out(not concerned with whatever happens on other matches of the day). The funniest thing is you won't know when these individuals/corporate organisations are buying and selling in the market. They preach go on research, read biz news, download tools and buy robots to help you trade. They work but not consistent. No strategy is even consistent on forex and crypto. What works this week will most likely not work next week/month. You have to keep changing. A lot of things are happening in forex and crypto world. Don't be deceived. Many ain't really making it in these forex and crypto as they claim. That's why you see them advertising training all around because they ain't really making but what take it from you by teaching you. Have you ever seen any sport trader advertising training? There are few that make theirs public to help you bet or place odds for you by subscribing to their service. This is because they are almost certainly sure of the best they place.

Take or leave, forex and crypto trading is riskier. Funny enough, I don't do any of these again but I've tried them. And if I'm going to venture into any of them, it's surely sport trading

Someone told me owning a bet company is a sin,but most bet companies has been an employer of labour, especially here in Nigeria that there's hardly an employment opportunity.

If you go to bet9ja main shops,(not an agent's shop),you will see matured men and women, all graduates, working there. And they are been paid well, even with allowance, free hospital bills and other incentives.

And those playing,I've seen people that their life has changed for good, only the greedy ones lose a lot of money, because 'bet responsibly' is bodly written in their various shops.

So,is betting a sin, especially for those who are not employed and sees an opportunity to work in a bet company?

Well, my view about sportbet.

We have two types of people that venture into sportbets. We have the sport trader and the gamblers.

Sport traders are those that go on thorough research, weigh their options and take calculated risk. This calculated risk doesn't mean they can't lose their bets but there's this satisfaction at the end because you did your due diligence with little before placing your bets. People in this category are biz men not gamblers. I call them traders like forex, crypto, and stock traders. Come to think of it, no difference btw these sets of people. Just do your due diligence with little and dive in. It also equates to those running real biz because before you run a biz, you go on research, get your feasibility report and plan yourself for the task ahead before launching. All these doesn't even guarantee the success of your business. In summary,I don't consider sport trading a sin.

Gamblers are those that do little to no research before placing bet. That's why they lose their money in the process. This is a sin because it's triggered by greed.

I only shared my view. Na only God Sabi wetin be sin and wey no be sin.

Family / Re: Most Nigerian Parents And Their Poor Child Spacing! A Must Read!!! by Bizstud: 9:47pm On Jun 22, 2022
Islandlady:
I have always wanted to write on this particular article about the lack of enough gap or spacing of children by most Nigerian parents!

Few months back I was driving along that Abuja-suleja road and decided to stop by to buy some roasted plantain (boli) from a woman by the roadside! But I couldn't help notice her two baby boys crying profusely, she was holding onto one while the other was on the floor, initially I thought they were twins but after looking well, I noticed that the boy on the floor was a bit older! So I offered to help her console the older child because she was obviously frustrated and so that she can be faster with my plantain so I can hit the road back!

I carried the boy to console him and I was surprised by the way the boy clinged to me and immediately stopped crying, he was still a baby who needs his mother's attention and cuddling but all was cut short becos he now has a baby brother! I asked the women for their ages and she said the older was 2years old and his brother was 1year old! I was not really suprised but angry at the poor spacing between children by most of our Nigerian parents!

I mean if she has given them atleast a 3 to 4years age gap, the older brother will be old enough to console and play with his younger brother, while she will be able do her work without getting fraustrated and depriving the older baby of the care, attention and also stopping his breastfeeding at that early stage! This lack of child spacing harbits is very common among our parents!

I just want to urge our upcoming parents, new couples and singles hoping to get married someday and give birth to please practice a good child spacing of atleast 2-4years age gap, it has a lot of benefits and also give you time to take care of the child properly and also allowing the mothers body rest and become stronger in preparation for another child
Thanks for reading!

Op: child spacing isn't the problem here. But the care given to the children which is lack of planning and poverty ruined. Mercy Johnson did the same and she has a healthy children. Other well to do individuals did the same thing, planned ahead and made provision for it. No matter the spacing between children, issues like this and worst will come up if there's no plan and resource to nurture them.
I see nothing bad in having all your children within short period and couples face raising them together provided it's well planned and resource are available. One man's food is another's poison.
