This case must not be swept under the carpet.
The Abia State command held the suspect for more than a week, which is enough to have made reasonable investigation on the matter.
A suspect under police custody is been moved to Abuja, how come he wanted to escape and was shot dead?
Let the truth be unravelled and disclosed to the public..
We waiting

Lol. @bolded, you really believe that? Sorry I don't buy that for second.

For all we know he could be somewhere (possibly back to UK) laughing his a$$ of at the gullible bunch.

But Yoruba called Jonathan a goat, called his wife a shepopotamus, carried a coffin labelled with Jonathan's name and much more.

Are you now seeing how hypocritical you lots can be?
Shame on you and your kind

Presidents will always be insulted, Truth it comes with the turf.

But there's a difference between insulting for actions/inactions and then mocking one that had an unfortunate incident.

I don't have to like you to be sympathetic when you suffer a misfortune. That is what differentiates humans from the goat I tied in my backyard.

Politics / Re: How Much Is The Average Cost Of Feeding A Family Of 6? by bjtinz: 6:52pm On Jun 02
Going by international standards, anyone on less than $2/day (about N2000) is by definition, poor.

Which means the family of 6 needs at least N360k just to be above the poverty line.

When you say average for feeding a family of 6, I am assuming that you mean a family of father, mother and 4 children.

Each person will eat a meal of #1,500 on the average for each meal. That is 9,000 each day for feeding alone.

This will be 9,000 x 30 days, #270,000

This is just the beginning o

And the sad reality is how many Nigerian families can boast of 270k per month??

@topic, there are no quick fixes.
They can artificially fix the rates ('defend the naira') in short-term, however in the long run, the journey certain decisive steps must be taken:

*Get our refineries working asap. Despite denials, it's obvious we are still spending $$ on subsidy
*Increase local productivity: tackle power, strangulating taxes, insecurity, etc
*Nigerians should tame their thirst for foreign goods.
*Abolish foreign trips for public officers

The reason why there is scacity of fuel is because, the FG is tired of paying subsidy and want to increase the pump price but, they will never come out openly and say it. Because, they have used lies upon lies on Nigerians.

I have like three filling stations around me selling fuel but, at the rate of #950 per litre.

Hmmm.

What a waste of time.
All of you are not serious. The fact is that anything you chose to chat with me about is not that important and is definitely not urgent. If it were urgent, you will call me. So it means it can wait. That is for those that will cry I took 1hr to respond.
As for how I respond it is my business. If I chat you and you have a lot to say to me, please by all means use a voice note. I really want you to say all you have to say and not give me some shitty summary just because you can't type long. If I can't listen to it, then like I said earlier, it can wait. In our self righteousness, we have forgotten that speech is a much better communication tool that text. The tone of your voice can communicate your feelings and mindset, those things you can not type. There are a lot of things that can be misinterpreted when typed but when said, the intended meaning can not be mistaken.
What would chose? For someone to type "I lv u", or for the same person to record a voice note saying "I love you" in a romantic way. I will definitely choose the later.
So all of you complaining about VN should rest. If you want formal communication, then call. If you choose the informal route, then let the other person choose how he wants it. It must not be your way.
As for the voice noters, try to understand that the dude chatting you up could be lazying around and bored and just needs the chat to while away time. So he wants the chat to be long and if you use VN, you would be cutting the chat short and he doesn't want that. So indulge him if you can.

For instance this kin long tory, personally I'll prefer as a VN, that way I can be doing other things while listening

To each his own. Personally I prefer VN compared to lengthy chats, particularly when the person is not too literate. It's an added challenge trying to decipher what has been written, so kuku send as voice

True intelligence is when we can dispute and not when we blindly accept what has been presented to us.

Totally agree.

However dispute with clear facts and evidence, not emotions or wilful ignorance.

For instance, when we start telling people to avoid polio vaccine claiming - without a shred of evidence - that it causes infertility, leading to the tragic, yet totally preventable incidents of newborns coming down with poliomyelitis, then it becomes the height of irresponsibility if not criminality.

I hope Bibi will listen to sound advice. Taking on Iran and Hamas is not a smart move, no matter how u look at it.

I know hes banking on the likely support of US and the EU, but even they are being cautious. US for instance, the last thing they need now is to be drawn into another proxy war
