no, I applied for data science first of which they asked me to wait till July 12th to know if I am selected, then I applied for software engineering of which I got accepted the following day and I am to start on August 15th. Unlike the data science where I was tested on python and sql, the software engineering does not require any test, just go tru some registration process and they will accept u the following day. The data science is for 3 months while the software engineering is for 12 months

So when are you commencing the program?

Lol
I wouldn't mention something so irrelevant if you didn't quote me to type nonsense.

No point at all, just came out nowhere to follow the crowd, well pretty typical so I'm not surprised.

So it's now a sin to debunk lies and choose to play dumb along abi, this really speaks about your kind of personality.
Let me tell you, I've been following a lot of experienced developers here who does not hide their level of proficiency, sometimes they post about their newly found language and give daily updates, why don't they choose the otherwise thereby giving beginners pressure of what couldn't be achieved. Programming is more mentally and psycological demanding than what someone will just be feeding us with false narration.

I hope you can see your fellow detective went to investigate and found the guy to be legit.

Why not use same energy to get a job instead of criticizing people, acting doesn't give you the right to judge who's a liar!

Case closed!

I am currently a final year student in the university, studying a course that is not lucrative. Knowing fully well how this country is, I decided to learn programming, python to be precise. But my situation currently now is that I don't have a laptop, can't afford one now, because final year expenses is just too much. so is it possible to learn programming without a laptop
I am currently using my phone.

I can't say about reaching master's level with phone, if you really want to go into programming, you should start planning how to get a system, Very Important!!

But there are apps you can use on your phone to practice for python and after python, if you decide to go into web dev, you can use the app from the second picture.

The first picture is pydroid, you can use it to code for python and even download the libraries but there are limitations unless you subscribe a certain amount of money to unlock all libraries and other perks.

The second app is for web developers (that is if you intend to specialize in that field, you can use the app).

I know because I once used them.

I want to believe everyone who read this story is fully aware of the exaggeration but chose to look at the positive side.

For the critics who wants to feel better by calling it all lies should learn how to criticize the right things.

The thread had no purpose of harming any individual or misleading anyone, but some people would always try to prove a point out of nothing. For the naysayers who think they're so smart and the only ones who noticed the clause in this story, I hope your success story will be so realistic so much that there would be no doubt.

I can now conclude you're under 17

When you get older you will learn how to debunk
Fake news

Lmao
Since you can't read between the lines, I can only conclude you're dumb.

I already stated earlier that it was exaggerated but it is stressful trying to make you understand. I shall withdraw now.

GREATIGBOMAN:

Adding sentiments to arguments doesn't prop your opinion in anyway

You're the type to draw inspiration from fake stories and post.

I'm the type to callout and debunk fake shits and post.

The earlier you ignore my type the better for you.

I have no business whatsoever with you

If you want to talk about sentiments, this post reeks of sentiments!

I asked you what you stand to gain from this and you're going sides like I'm suppose to care.

You call fake shits? Isn't that great? I see you have a job now on Nairaland.

Why not do that to those bots trying to build websites for 10k? That way, you might prove useful.

Cause from your boring points, the only thing you had against his story was learning 35 or was it 30 library in a month. You think that makes programming look easy for newbies? Did you forget that he started programming in 2020? Took two years to get a job? Not like I'm trying to defend as being true or not!

Nothing about his post makes programming look easy. No them misyarn anyhow, E no make sense at all!
Programming / Re: My Programming Life Story.. Don't Miss.. by BlackSan: 11:58am On Jun 21, 2022
Maxxim:

Abeg limit the way you acknowledge Bs here, Most of us ain't here to draw inspiration from fake stories, for what purpose exactly, just to get instant attention and gratification? It doesn't make sense man.
Someone even mentioned you don't have to learn and assimilate, claiming one psycological shit, if that is, will senior men in this job would have been able to keep their reputation and build rapports.
Pissed undecided

Did you read what you typed before posting? Or perhaps you felt like typing something for typing sake?

I mean how in the world did a good story even if fictional became something is seeking for attention?

I have asked this before but did anything about his post ask for money? Or involved killing someone?

Did you guys perhaps think you became smarter by pointing out his lies? Even if everything he said was a made-up, it doesn't deserve a negative comment!

Stop being negative about people's stories, it isn't encouraging. And I find it too dumb

You guys were not the only ones to notice, just move on

MOVE ON!!!
Programming / Re: My Programming Life Story.. Don't Miss.. by BlackSan: 8:02pm On Jun 20, 2022
GREATIGBOMAN:

Take your own advice.

Learn how to ignore comments such as mine.

I won't stop pointing out fictitious motivational stories in this section

It misleads people and make them believe this field is get rich quick scheme

It is quite amusing how you play detective and quite ignorant of a lot of things. I will leave you to continue criticizing people's story.

Don't focus too much on the exaggeration and ignore the positivity it brings to people. Even if you keep calling it fake, I hope those looking for inspiration were inspired.

I called him a liar because he lied

Deal with it

Nothing to gain from pointing out the obvious

Your *"pointing out the obvious"* didn't end with one article. The reason I quoted you in the first place is for you to learn how to ignore sometimes.

That won't kill you "The observer"

You were not the only one who noticed

I'm glad you said you don't know what JavaScript or express is.

Assuming you knew your know learning day JavaScript alone may take you more that a year.

Now imagine learning something like JavaScript x35 which takes most more than a year in 5 months

Even a prodigy won't accomplish such

I called him a mumu because it it someone who doesn't have any idea of what the language is or what the subset of the language is that'd claim they learnt 100 in just few months thinking it will make them appear smarter or more accepting.

Those who have actually spent time or sacrificed time will definitely find fault in this story

They are many other success stories in this platform to draw inspiration from like say from example the founder of "Trove"

He was fond of this section

One shouldn't draw inspiration from everything because it sounds sweet to the ears thanks

Honestly I'm curious of what you stand to gain from this.
He may be lying but his lies doesn't involve begging for money. If you asked anyone who started reading from the beginning, they would tell you it actually inspired them not to give up especially for beginners.

True, he might have exaggerated the story but it doesn't take anything away from anyone. I still don't see what you stand to gain from calling him a liar.

14 hours a day is borderline impossible. Your back will roast. Your bum will cook.

Indeed sir but we don't spend 14hrs in there. I think the whole reason for that was to keep the students for the worse. We're usually given two projects daily

The first month is basically shell n Linux,
But you have to meet 80% cut off mark to be able to continue.
It is task/project based program , every task/project as a time limit
The second months is C language

Please... A question, Since the tutorials are live, does it mean, we can't rewatch them later?
