Politics / Re: The Major Mistake Tinubu Is Making About Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo by Blastos(m): 12:15pm On Jun 05, 2022
Officer4:
It's not about dwelling on the past. Tinubu is not dwelling on the past

If you were in Tinubu's shoes, willing to give all your best to help Buhari become president, let's be honest, will you allow someone else to become the VP candidate? The answer is NO you won't.

So the sacrifices that this gentleman and staunch fighter has made, you can't do it. Someone else would have said "if I am not good enough to be your vice, then I'm not good enough to fight for you "

Yet, this man still went ahead. He fought a sitting president, brought all his 6 Southwestern governors to invite all colleagues from nPDP...and that's how Buhari rode on this alliance.

Remember how Buhari used to say his votes in the southwest were rigged away...Well, with this alliance, he was sure his votes were safe...except for South South and SouthEast where he had no one to look out for him except Oshiomole in Edo state.

The Rotimi Amaechi whom people are talking about now, what could he do when Wike and Patience Jonathan took charge of the politics in Rivers state? He was a siting governor who couldn't fight a gentle sitting President, Jonathan. Yet, Tinubu as a sitting governor used to deal heavy punches on a sitting tyrant President Obasanjo.

So Buhari knows the effort Tinubu has put in, and he knows that Osinbajo is only filling in for Tinubu.

The APC primaries will come and go, and Tinubu will emerge victorious, becasue apart from Buhari, there are so many other politicians in APC, both North and South, that Tinubu has fought for. And unlike Osinbajo, the others are truly grateful. They will reciprocate. This is the RECIPROCITY Buhari was asking the governors to give.

The APC Chairman Adamu was twisting the words of Tinubu in Abeokuta, lying that Tinubu said Buhari came crying and prostrating for him (Tinubu) to please support his ambition.

He claimed he has yoruba speakers who helped to translate the Abeokuta speech.

That was just unfortunate that he would lie so blatantly. In that speech, Tinubu never mentioned prostration until the end when he was leaving the podium and said to the audience..."idobale ni mo wa o" meaning "I am prostrating for you" as he begged them to vote for him

My dear friend,

You are the first pro tinubu supporter I have witnessed here on this forum that has spoken like a human being, the way you made your argument without insulting any person or tribe is commendable, kudos to you dear, Nigeria needs more of you.

God bless you

Penguin2:
So what if he refuses to step down? grin

If na me, if I step down make I bend undecided

This shit happened in Ebonyi State in 2007 but didn’t go as planned.

Sam Egwu, completing his second term as governor then, bought PDP presidential ticket to succeed Obasanjo…

Sensing things might not go as planned in his presidential bid, he got someone he felt was not ambitious to get the Ebonyi North Senatorial ticket of PDP and hold in his fort so that if he fails at PDP presidential primaries, he would come to retrieve the senatorial ticket from him and go to the senate.

The name of the man was Emmanuel Onwe.

As expected, Sam Egwu failed to get the PDP presidential ticket which Yaradua got. He went home to retrieve his senatorial ticket from Emmanuel Onwe and baba refused o.

It was like a movie to Egwu.

But long story short, Emmanuel Onwe went on to win the election and became senator for 4 years. But that was the last time he won any election in Ebonyi grin

In 2011, Egwu got the ticket back and has remained senator since then.

So, this thing doesn’t always go as planned. Especially when you have INEC as witnesses. Because nothing concern INEC with your secret pact.

The man's name is Sen. Anthony Agbo and not Sen. Emmanuel Onwe and Send Dr. Sam Egwu got into the Senate in 2015 not 2011

Lesson To Learn From Rivers And Ebonyi States Governors one man style of leadership ( Initial gra gra)

When the pandemic started both Governors were too lousy. You keep on hearing flog anybody who violates the order( Ebonyi).

Our borders are totally locked and no one can enter more like a tyrant instead of a democratic Governor ( Rivers state)

Many called it pro- activeness but it was outright foolishness and power drunk Governors.

It will be very risky to even allow these two dictatorial characters to rule Nigeria.

Now as at today Ebonyi has 5 COVID cases and Rivers has 8 COVID cases or so with all the lock down without planning.

These two people can't rule a country with such tendencies.

Firstly as a Governor you appeal to the people who elected you by explaining to them the actions that are bound to come not talking to them like animals.

Secondly , sit with your cabinets and engage the legislature on how to manage the situation and not running a one man show.

If these Governors had sat with their advisors and engage issues as it is all loopholes will be sorted out and right things done.

Both are bad example of a leader.

This is a state that allows Muslims penetrate and converted enough faithfuls and has continued to act a different script to igbo progress.....

I may not doubt ur claim but I doubt the fact that apc has not taken over ebonyi state....with a great population of Muslim faithfuls.

The Muslim population in Ebonyi is only 7-8%... 80% of them are indigenes so it's no big deal.. Nothing to be scared of

if u really wanted Dr. Chris Ngige to be a relevant force in this government/dispensation, they should have appointed him as SGF when it was clear he had lost the Senate seat. rather than blame people who voted for who they preferred, right what went wrong by upholding Federal character.

No Igbo man in the Senate is an APC member that's why Ndigbo couldn't clinch d Senate presidency. wasn't there an Igbo APC member who won a seat in the house of Representatives, why were they not compensated with that, or better given the SGF position. Nigeria is ours we have to keep it.

irresponsible.

See Proof
Look at the first picture he took

Check the time, you can see its
9:10AM.

Check the second picture
You can see its 9:20AM which means
he's still at the airport.
The third picture he's also at the
airport and the time is also 9:20AM
And Suddenly he appears at bourdillon
road which is 9:38AM.
How can someone move from airport to
bourdillon road in 18 Minutes.
And according to Google map the
fastest route from the airport to
bourdillon road is 29 Minutes.

Think about this.

Politics / Re: Ondo Governorship: Borrofice Favoured To Pick APC's Ticket by Blastos(m): 9:36am On Jul 14, 2016
Oshoboy01:
Ahead of the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, the pulse of majority stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sahel Standard gathered is swayed towards the emergence of Senator Ajayi Borrofice as the flag bearer of the party.

Though the party in the state had denied anointing any of the aspirants for its ticket, feelers in the party is that leaders are wary of fielding a less popular candidate that will affect its chances of forming the next government in the state.

According to sources in the party, the scheming within the party, which are largely subtle is directed at the emergence of a candidate that will guarantee the party victory at the poll.

The arrangement will consolidate the party’s growing strength in the state, placed the Oka-Akoko born politician at a pole position to picks the party’s ticket as most of the party’s leader agreed will produce a victory.

While other aspirants jostling for the ticket of the party were as well considered, the general consensus by most leaders of the party who considered the advantage of the party taking over the Alagbaka Government House, favoured Borrofice.

The Professor of Zoology, who is currently representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the senate for the second term, is believed by most of the leaders to have the necessary political wherewithal to deliver victory for the party.

He noted that ” he (Borrofice) is considered by many as the ideal candidate that can give our party (APC) victory in the governorship election. Not only is he well entrenched among electorates in the state, the manner which he dared Mimiko and went ahead to win his re-election to the senate is intimidating and cannot be easily ignored.

The source stressed that to ensure Borrofice emerge the party’s flag bearer, there have been moves by some leaders within the party to mobilise their structures to back him, noting that some other aspirants jostling for the party’s ticket may as well backed down and throw their weight behind Borrofice, following the intervention of the leaders working

“Everyone knows this time is our best shot at taking over Ondo State and we must be cautious not to throw away that chance. Listen, all those aspiring to fly our party’s ticket are good, that remains incontrovertible.

“But what Ondo State electorate want is the best and we must not give them the contrary. Borrofice happens to be our best shot and I think everyone, including our leaders are seeing that fact. I share the reasoning that he would pick our party’s ticket, if otherwise, the 2012 experience may reoccur,” he said.
