Sports / Re: Finidi George’s Achievements Vs Victor Osimhen Record by Blissfulend: 3:33am On Jun 16
Samunique:
Those defending him are mostly from the south east, they don't understand what we call diplomacy and politeness.

Osimehn has lost my respect and love I have for him.

He forgot how Nigerians fought for him for African player of the year.

Osimehn has not kicked a ball for Nigeria since the start of the world cup qualifiers .

This is beyond sickening!
Why always ascribe tribal colouration to issues?
Please, do well to mention that the piece above, condemning Osihmen's outburst and requesting him to apologize was also written by Someone from 'that side'(SouthEast).

Osimhen should apologize to this legend, I don't know why people from that side are defending him

Finidi George also represented Nigeria in two FIFA World Cups, 1994 and 1998.

Why are you guys like this?
Do you have to tribalize everything?
Be reminded that the article above was written by an Igbo man too.

I absolutely agree with you. I for one know quite a number of Yoruba people who voted right and never supported this scam of a president called BAT.
ivandragon:

You guys need to stop this sweeping castigations of ethnic groups, in this case Yorubas, especially on this APC/BAT issue.

There are millions of Yorubas who do not support BAT or APC. But when people like you turn it to ethnic 'war', you force such persons to take sides by defending thier ethnicity.

Limit your criticism to the APC & BAT, don't drag the whole ethnic group into such matters.

Travel / Re: How Come Nigerian Roads Don’t Have Lane Markings? by Blissfulend: 4:33pm On May 15, 2020
I concur that bad governance and incompetent leadership are definitely contributory here.
But with particular regard to the issue under discussion, corruption takes the cake.
I admit that we now have a shrinking revenue, hence the low budget for public utilities, but it has not always been like this.
Recall that in the 1960s and 70s,we raked in a lot of cash from the sale of petroleum, but could we boast of having word-class utilities even at the time?
One of the Heads of state in the afore-mentioned period was quoted as saying that Nigeria's problem was not dearth of money but what to spend the money on.
If we have always been broke as a nation, how do you explain the fact that we keep recovering millions of dollars stashed away in foreign banks by our leaders?
We did have the money at a time (unfortunately not anymore) to make Nigeria a cynosure, but the avarice and corruption of our leaders never allowed that dream to see the light of the day.
We had the golden chance, but sadly, we blew it!

Iquote author=kikero post=89578865]

Even without corruption, this year we have a budget of $26billion. That's not enough for guaranteeing good healthcare , talkless good roads and transportation.

Mind you I don't downplay corruption, but the explanation for why Nigeria does not work has less to do with corruption, and more to do with how we make the money, which is a function of bad leadership.[/quote]
Travel / Re: How Come Nigerian Roads Don’t Have Lane Markings? by Blissfulend: 3:16pm On May 15, 2020
Your point is not altogether valid!
Corruption has been the bane of the Nigerian society.
Did we have better roads we had toll gates on our roads?
The money realized from the toll gates was all being embezzled.
kikero:

They do.

The problem is , Nigerians are not ready to pay the taxes needed to keep the lane markings well maintained.

We like to admire the foreign countries with their pristine roads...but those foreign countries do something we don't...pay taxes for the maintenance of the road.

Like in the UK, people pay something called Council tax, and other charges called 'congestion charges' which go into keeping the roads in good repair.

Nigeria?? We used to have toll gates on our highways, and they were all removed.....and now the Ministry of Works does not have the cash to pay for keeping roads well maintained.

sexylassie2:

That same lady that did not respect him with respect another man, i am not supporting her attitude but nothing goes for nothing in a relationship.

The reality is this, if he can complain for lack of sex in a relationship, i think she can also complain for not fulfilling his obligations. It is a 2 way thing, after all i have no official mandate to give sex to a man who is not my husband.

his ability to provide during the relationship will determine if the relationship will lead into marriage we might want to deny it but it is the truth, i am not saying he should give in to all her demand but he should also know how to control his situation and show that he is the man in the relationship.

You are either glaringly and pitifully
ignorant or deliberately distorting facts to suit your narrative. Get it straight, the central government did not supply Biafrans food and nobody did expect them to. The point here is that they barricaded/barred the import of food into Biafra by foreign countries and relief organisations leading to the death of millions of innocent children. That is grossly wicked!

This is what happens when clinicians look down on Medical Laboratory scientists... You are supposed to conduct a lab test to provide definitive diagnosis of an illness... Provisional diagnosis has killed many, but doctor's won't hear... See eh, if u go to any hospital and after telling the clinician how u feel, and he quickly prescribes drugs for u, please run... If he doesn't conduct test for u, u might end up in a big mess like this... So sorry bro for what ur going through ... Go to a good hospital and insist that tests be ran... That combination sef the doc gave u is making me puke... Some clinicians will die miserable deaths for how callously they treat patients
You apparently know next to nothing about medical practice.
In acute medical conditions empirical treatment is instituted(which is subject to review in the light of investigation findings) following clinical history and thorough physical examination. The clinical features the op presented with are in keeping with gastroenteritis and UTI and the doctor accordingly placed him on ciprofloxacin which is a wide spectrum antibiotic and metronidazole, an antiprotozoal agent.
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone which is effective for UTI. Ciprofloxacin and metronidazole are an ideal combination for gastroenteritis.
It important to note that the two drugs above have a wide safety margin and could not account for what op is experiencing.
It has rightly been pointed out that his symptoms are due to somatization and as such he will benefit from psychiatric review and management.
From the above explanation it is patently clear that it is your crass ignorance that is making you puke.
