The National Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) newly appointed leader in Lagos, Alh, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as “MC OLUOMO” took a further step by expressing gratitude with sense of appreciation to those who rallied support while he was canvassing for the Lagos State chapter of the union.

He didn’t fail to acknowledge the immense support of ace fuji super star, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, who according to him has consistently been using his far reaching mileage and influence via his large music followers, fans and lovers to gain more support for him, which called for such courtesy visit paid on him. To thank him, foster their relationship and reinvigorate the ties they share.

Pasuma, was no doubt, delighted to receive the new union Lagos boss in his home, and expressed his joy over the success of the eventual outcome of their years of struggle in the race for Mc Oluomo to emerge the State Chairman, which finally came through. He emphasized in his confidence to revamp grey areas in the union by the new led administration of MC Oluomo, who he confirmed as capable, focus, development and improvement oriented with rare leadership traits.

A Nigerian pastor, Bishop Sam Zuga gave a brand new SUV to a Nigerian king. According to reports, he donated a Lincoln Navigator SUV Jeep to the King of Ejule Land and promises to donate 100 car to Nigerians in 2020.

According to the facebook page of Bishop Sam Zuga, it was revealed that the car was given to the pastor on Thursday, November 7th.

Although the king is a Muslim, the Onu/District head of Ejule Chief; Alhaji Abdullahi Amanabo was so happy to receive Bishop Sam Zuga in Kogi again, as well as accepted the beautiful car gift, after the man of God prayed for him and the entire land.

In the photos shared on Facebook, the pastor was dressed in white traditional wear while the king who knelt down for prayers also wore his traditional regalia wear with a blue and gold cloak draped on his shoulders.

The University of Ibadan Celebrates UI 2019 Best Graduating Postgraduate Student, Miss Osanyinlusi Titilayo Mary of the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture Who scored the Perfect CGPA of 7.0 as announced by the Provost, Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan, Prof. Jonathan Babalola at the fourth day of the 2019 Convocation ceremonies, held at the International Conference Centre, Friday 15th of November 2019.

OYOMIND.COM.NG gathered that the Best Graduating Master Student is Mary of Animal Science with CGPA of 7.0 and average of 76.9 while Abibat of Botany Department is second best with CGPA of 7.0 and average of 75.1.

According to Page 442 of the Order of Proceedings Award, Miss. Osanyinlusi Titilayo Mary’s is the overall Best Graduating Postgraduate Student followed by Miss Owolabi Habeebah Olayinka while Mr Adekunle Yemi Adekola of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy who scored the perfect CGPA of 6.9 was announced as the third best Masters Student.

So far, from the institution 71st convocation that commenced this week, three brilliant ladies had achieved this feat:

1. Ebhomielen Ofure Mary, a BSc graduate of Computer Science.

2. Owolabi Habeebah Olayinka, an MSc graduate of Botany.

3. Osanyinlusi Titilayo Mary, an MSc graduate of Animal Science.

In yet another ridiculous twist, the Department of State Services on Tuesday said that it was yet to release pro-democracy campaigner and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, from its detention facility in Abuja because it doesn't want him to get knocked down by a vehicle on his way out.

Spokesperson for the agency, Peter Afunanya, also told journalists in Abuja on Tuesday that Sowore's lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), was yet to come fetch him from their facility.

Afunanya said, "We cannot just release Sowore and ask him to go because he may be knocked down by a vehicle at the gate."

Afunanya noted that Falana had not been to the headquarters of the service since the activist was granted bail, a claim the popular rights lawyer vehemently rejects.

Afunanya claimed that the DSS was following administrative procedures by asking the sureties to come forward for proper documentation.

He said, "We respect rules and orders of the court and there was never a time the Director-General said he would not release Sowore."

The secret police continues to hold on to Sowore despite two court orders directing it to release him after meeting bail conditions on both occasions.

Femi Falana, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), says Yusuf Bichi, director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), has stopped taking his calls.

“I confirm that I have an official relationship with the DG of SSS. But since the commencement of the case of Sowore and Bakare the DG has refused to pick my calls while I have since become a persona non grata in the office of the SSS,” Falana said.

Sowore was arrested in Lagos on August 3, 2019 for calling on Nigerians to take to the streets in peaceful demonstrations to demand a better country from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

A 26-year-old bricklayer, Kenneth Ofoke, has been arrested for allegedly selling his six-week-old set of twins Edo State.

The suspect, from Ebonyi State, sold the twins for N500,000 in Port Harcourt.
The police alleged that the suspect had sold four babies before he was arrested, adding that he sold the twins for N500,000, and the other two for N30,000 and N50,000 respectively.

However, Kenneth said he sold the twins due to financial constraints and ill-health of the children and their mother, adding that he and the mother of the children decided to take the babies where they would be taken care off.

When asked if he was married to the mother of the twins, he said: “The woman brought the children to me, saying I am their father. She said I impregnated her when I was befriending her.”
