Politics / Asari Dokubo Writes Obasanjo A Controversial Letter by Blogking(f): 9:18am On Jan 03, 2014

Mujahid Asari Dokubo, the leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), yesterday Thursday January 2nd 2014, dropped a stinker on former President Olusegun Obasanjo calling him “the Chief Assassin of all times.” This is a letter he wrote in response to 8 page letter Obasanjo had initially written Jonathan.

In the letter Asari rebutted Obasanjo’s claim that Jonathan was training a special killer squad to hit 1000 supposed opponents of his government. He also asserted that Obasanjo was responsible for his arrest in Benin and that he had the Intentions of Killing him while he was in governance, but wasn,t succesful.

It will be recalled that Asari had threatened that Nigeria would be in Disarray if Jonathan does not become president in 2015.

The visit was a surprise one and unscheduled as the former president did not inform any of his aides about it. They were said to have discussed several issues and the President left Hill Top at about 3.35pm.

Politics / Ngozi Okonjo Iweala And Occupy Nigeria Group: Twitter Fight! by Blogking(f): 9:33pm On Dec 21, 2013
This has got to be the twitter fight of the Year! Occupy Nigeria group, kept sending tweets at Nigeria's Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo Iweala calling her out saying she was irresponsible and that the members of the Honourable house of Representatives, allegedly walked out on her during an interactive session on Thursday, making her look like a joke! The name calling got so bad, that the minister lost her cool and called the Occupy Nigeria group;

"a nattering nabob of negativism"

This worsened issues as fans called out the minister on Twitter saying the reply was uncalled for. It even turned into a jamboree of jesting, as the Occupy Nigeria group, immediately changed their name to the "Nattering Nabob" .... Choi! The battle is still ongoing on Twitter see some screen shots of their tweet fight below;

Celebrities / Remembering The Sosoliso Plane Crash Victims 8 Years After... by Blogking(f): 3:56pm On Dec 10, 2013

Today December 10th 2013 marks exactly 8 years since the Sosoliso plane crash that claimed the lives of 107 Nigerians, mostly those of the students of the
Loyola Jesuit College, Abuja. As we remember the departed, i decided to pen down a poem to commemorate their memories;

8 years and your beautiful memories are still livid in our hearts. We lost families, friends and fellow country men that day, but worst of all we lost the promising lives of future leaders in the making.
We would never forget the pains and sorrows this sad event brought our nation, the deaths that were as a result of Negligence and human incapability’s. I know you all are up there somewhere above watching us and smiling for how well we have carried on so far. Every day the space of your demise fills us with a hope that someday, in a time God wishes we would be together to part no more.

Lets remember to say a prayer for them too. God bless you all.

Education / TOEFL & GRE Examinations Suspended Indefinitely In Nigeria by Blogking(f): 7:27am On Nov 10, 2013
Education Testing Services, ETS, has suspended both the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) in Nigeria “due to security concerns.”
ETS is the world’s largest private nonprofit educational testing and assessment organization. It conducts examinations in almost all the countries of the world.
In a terse statement dated November 7, published on its website, ETS broke the news that both examinations have been suspended indefinitely in Nigeria.
The statement reads:

“Due to security concerns in Nigeria, GRE® and TOEFL® testing in the country has been suspended for an indefinite period. Candidates who have appointments to take the TOEFL or GRE Tests will be contacted by ETS to process a refund.”
The organisation did not say the specific security threats it has come under. But the organisation may be acting proactively in the face of repeated attacks of educational institutions by suspected members of the radical Islamic sect, Boko Haram.
The GRE is a standardized test that is required for admission for graduate (Post-graduate) courses in the United States and business programmes, especially Master in Business Administration (MBA) worldwide.
The TOEFL is a test meant to test the English Language proficiency of non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in United States universities and other English speaking universities and courses around the world.
As a result of this rather abrupt development, Nigerian students planning to write these qualifying examinations into colleges and universities abroad will be wise to start seeking alternatives.
Celebrities / Dennis Okike Wins Gulder Ultimate Seach 10! *the Tenth Symbol* by Blogking(f): 11:24pm On Oct 31, 2013
My predictions were not wrong afterall! Dennis Okike is now the proud winner of the 10million naira and a new car! The days task began with them racing from thier present location away from Chidi in pairs, with Bobby and Dennis in a pair and Ifunanya and Edmund in another pair. They had to recover two halves of a map, meaning they had to race through a long distance and obstacle to the place of the talking drum for Ifunnaya and Edmund and then to the Munby grounds to get the second half. The reverse was the case for Dennis and Bobby. The rule to this was that whoever came last would be evicted. Which saw Boobby leaving, as he came 4th. The top 3 (edmund, Ifiunnaya and Dennis) were then instructed to take a look at thier map, from which they deciphered where the tenth symbol might be located. Which led through crossing a river, several obstacles and then a shalow river area with a small Island called the Pirate island where he found it! Congrats to the ultimate man!... Abeg make i rest, tired out from typing.

Celebrities / Who Would Win Gulder Ultimate Search 10th Edition Tonight? *PREDICTIONS* by Blogking(f): 8:13pm On Oct 31, 2013
If you have been watching this show then you would know that the level of adrenaline that would pump into our veins as we watch the last episode tonight, nor go be small thing! We have four finalists left and the Ultimate man or woman would officially be crowned tonight, so lets take time out to anlyse the chances of who is and who is not most likely to win this years anticipated search.

a) Bobby.

Bobby is a lively fellow! Who has the aura to make any one crack up and laugh, though he can be quite childish at times.. Sincerely i never envisioned he would get this far because he never really appeared as a srtong link up until recently. Booby can be really be soft atimes too, as can be seen when his mama came around and he cried... In all truism, i don't think bobby would win the Gulder Ultmate search this year as i still do not feel he has that "wow" fact meant to be found in the ultimate man.

b) Ifunanya.

The last woman standing and no doubt my favourite particiapnt this year. The small and fragile looking Ifunanya is no doubt a tough cookie as she has proven time and again, by outdoing even some of her male contestants in tasks given to them. The resillient Ifunnanya, who is not only a sweet looking wench, but also an intelligent one is sure to be full of suprises but in all sincerity, i do not see her winning this years competition. She has got the brain and endurance, but she may be lacking in the muscle compartment. Lets wait and see. this evening anyways.

c) Dennis.

In all truissm i used to dislike Dennis at the beginning of the show. He came across as an overgrown spoilt baby, because he was always picking quarrels and was even in one with the evicted Mary. I still have some resentment towards him, but i have come to realise that he is just any other fellow trying not to be disrespected by others. Dennis has played up his game quite well and he has won several tasks too. I see him as a probable winner. Like i would bet my 50% that he may actually get to win. Lets wait till 10:30pm today and we shall find out.

d) Edmund.

This doctor who took part in this years ultimate search has shown that he is the real deal in terms of muscle this year. He lacks in the intellectual aspects to solve tasks though, but he never ceases to dissapoint in the strenght and muscle department. Edmund who is fiercly tall and agile looking, sincerely has all the looks and capabilities to be this years ultimate man. I would put more of my betting money on him to win the challenge!

Lets all wait till 10:30pm tonight to see of my predictions come out right. I watch mine on AIT sha.... Who do you think would win this years GUS?
