She stopped when I started doing the same to her at funerals. grin

Phones / Re: Got A Call From An American Phone Number From Naija by blueiyke(m): 1:57pm On Jul 06, 2006
Hey y'all, over the past two days,I've had calls on my mobile phone from 2 rather strange numbers - 01 and 0911, though the network was poor and I couldn't get what they were trying to say.

My first thought was that it could be a corporate body trying to contact me, since I'm in the labour market. But even at that, I'm somehow confused (what with my friend trying to frighten me by telling me that those were "mystical numbers"wink.

Please guys, does anyone know what these numbers mean?

If I were Seun,I would ban him, PRONTO.
Religion / Re: Skeptics And Atheists In Nigeria: How Do You Manage? by blueiyke(m): 1:23pm On Jun 08, 2006
Things exist whether you believe it or not. Some people in remote villages of Africa do not believe in some of the wonders of science.Does their unbelief change anything?
Some folks do not believe that HIV/AIDS exist.Does that mean it really doesn't exist?

The fact remains that, whether Seun and people like him believe in God or not, He remains God.
Religion / Re: Should Christians Judge Other Denominations While God Says Judge Not by blueiyke(m): 1:01pm On Jun 08, 2006
People like Hotstepper should come to this thread & learn. She keeps dissing Christ Embassy as though God gave her a divine mandate to put that ministry down.

Remember the parable of the Kingdom of God being like a man that cast his net into the waters. The net came up with all manners of fish. The man now sat down to select the good ones and throw away the bad ones.

But some people would prefer to do the selection for God.
It's so,so sad.
Religion / Re: Church Romance by blueiyke(m): 12:54pm On Jun 08, 2006
Hotstepper:

yea, very common with all diz christ embassy etc churches tongue
Hotstepper,i would really like u to throw more light on this.U mentioned Christ Embassy as though u have personally experienced "Romance" there.

It's people like u that would wake up tomorrow to give us a "Da Vinci Code"; running their mouth about things they are ignorant about.
Religion / Re: My Reading Of The Holy Bible And Matters Arising by blueiyke(m): 12:47pm On Jun 08, 2006
@ Moukee

Well, the way I see it, it all depends on whether u are a Christian or a Jew;whether u are under grace or under the law.

The new creation Christian is not under the law. That means he is not obliged to keeping to the letters of the commandments handed to Moses, in order to be righteous.Righteousness is his nature, just the way a dog takes naturally to barking and fish takes naturally to water, so he takes naturally to righteousness.

Go read your Bible well.Otherwise, quit shooting your mouth about things u hardly understand.
Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Floats Airline, TV Station & Fast Food Outlet by blueiyke(m): 1:19pm On Jun 06, 2006
This thread is unfortunately, degenerating into an anti-Christian one. Unbelievers & atheists have found somewhere to express their ignorance of spiritual things.

Imagine, calling men of God names sad
*Shakes head sadly*

Religion / Re: 6th June, 2006 - 6/6/06 - Day Of The Beast? by blueiyke(m): 1:15pm On Jun 02, 2006
If any religious group is declaring fasting and praying just because the calendar reads "6th June,2006", methink that's just being paranoid.

Though some people might try to do something odd or weird that day just for the publicity(especially in the U.S. & Europe), I believe it will be just another beautiful day,in a beautiful year.

6/6/06 - Day Of The Beast?

A lot has been said and written concerning the day & date, 6/6/06 ( 6th June, 2006) because of the mysterious number of the beast "666".

Some have gone ahead to make doomsday prophecies for that day.& to add to the frenzy,a wacky couple from England who are expecting their baby on that day, have come up with the name "Lucy" short for Lucifer for the unborn-baby.

Personally, I think the day will come and go like any other day.

What's your take on this?

Religion / What's Your Favourite Daily Devotional Guide? by blueiyke(m): 3:41pm On May 30, 2006
Hey y'all. There are so many daily devotionals and bible-guides around these days.I believe this is all good for the edification and building up of the saints of God.

There is "Our Daily Bread", "Rhapsody of Realities", "The Word Among Us", "Daily Manna" and many others.

I use "Rhapsody of Realities" and my life is blessed each day,as I study God's Word.
So,besides your Bible (which is a must, of course), which daily devotional do you enjoy most?
