iamoyindamola: Which criminals? You see ehn, giving them guns even make them target of criminals. Normally everybody knows that a road safety job is check ur vehicle papers & drivers license, ensure u aren't overspeeding, confirm ur vehicle is safe to be on the road and ensure u are not posing danger to other road users while driving on federal road. Nobody has any intentions of taking them out because they are not carrying any weapon to effect arrest. The moment u give them guns, the criminals who have guns in their vehicle will be apprehensive and will shoot them on sight. If u check the history of road safety officers who have died in the line of duty, its mostly due to the officers trying to do more than what their duty is . For example some of them will hang on the body of a moving vehicle claiming they want to arrest him by force. That's a fooolish and careless thing to do. Let them just do their jobs and stop worrying about bearing arms that will put them in danger. 1 Like |

iamoyindamola: Their job is not to deal with criminals ; the TDS why giving them guns make no sense . Their job is to ensure safety on the highways by checking that any vehicle plying the highway is in a safe condition and the driver is authorized & licensed to drive the particular vehicle he’s driving . That’s why they are called Federal Road safety Corps ; they are to ensure safety on federal roads . Finish ! 3 Likes |

iamoyindamola: Which yeye professional? They are as corrupt as the rest of the law enforcement agencies that stop vehicles on the road . All they are interested in is collecting money from vehicles carrying overload and claiming private vehicle tyres are expired . Me I no rate them at all. Giving them guns will only lead to more deaths in the long run. They will also be doing accidental discharge like other law enforcement agents bearing arms |

iamoyindamola: This is FRSC official , but I don't know how he came to bear arms because no law in Nigeria allows them to bear arms as of today. |

izzou: Well, this has always been the norm in public secondary schools even during my time in secondary school . I can't speak for other states , but I know public secondary in Lagos are wild like that. Incidents of different secondary school students clashing are normal occurrence especially towards the end of the term and during special occasions like Inter-house sports. When such fights happen, u will see on display different dangerous weapons like planks, butcher knives, machetes, battle axe, etc. Most of those people who engage in such fights during my time in secondary school turned out to be either NURTW guys, Okada riders, cultists and even worse. |

larride: Na big whining dem dey whine us. Aside companies and few private individuals, majority of Nigerians don't buy new vehicles simple because they can't afford it. Only people that have ajeseku will cough out 950k to convert vehicle to CNG when u are not even sure if the vehicle will develop complications after conversion. |

seankafor: This is why I avoid interstate road trip at all cost. It appears as though the FG and security agencies have conceded highways to robbers, bandits, kidnappers and unknown gunmen. If you travel long distance by road and u come back safely, it's just by stroke of luck without witnessing any kidnapping incident or being a victim urself. But if u talk, APC people will say security situation has improved from when Boko Haram was controling some LGA's in the northeast. Now u are not even safe in the south . 3 Likes |

GloriousGbola: The majority of vehicles on naija road are second hand vehicles which were either accidented in the original country of use. Most Tokuno vehicles have check engine light on which means that whether u like it or not something is already wrong somewhere . Like I said earlier , the best thing is to wait for a period of time to see testimony of the first set of people that convert their vehicles to CNG. If it’s positive then one can also follow suit but if it’s otherwise , u will be grateful u waited things out. Things are damn expensive now and it’s not worth risking the health of ur vehicle . Segedinho: The way some of their foot soldiers cap on twitter , u would be wondering if Tinubu gave them a blank cheque they normally cash out anytime they push out propaganda . There’s this guy pastor okezie or whatever his name is ; looking at that guy u can see he’s not even doing better than the people he’s trolling online for not supporting Tinubu’s anti-people’s policy. When u look at the guy’s shop where he sells building materials and even the church he pastors , u can tell he’s not winning at all. But somehow the guy will just keep defending rubbish all in the name of being a party man. I just Dey wonder wetin Dey work people like that 1 Like 1 Share |

Segedinho: I also someone saying for every 100k kilometers u cover , u will need to spend heavily on maintenance of the vehicle . More like CNG has effect on engine performance of vehicles . The best thing is to wait for enough people to convert and share their bitter-sweet experience before venturing into it. |

Segedinho: The bold is my own major concern too. I always wonder how other people are surviving . I literally ghost some acquaintances simply because I know the moment u ask about their well being , when they tell u exactly how they are something must drop from ur hand. Even though I feel guilty about not checking up on them ,there’s not much I can do because I also have my own responsibilities. When u see wife doing teaching job in private school where they don’t pay above 70k and husband working in a company where he earns 150k, u begin to wonder how they will manage 220k combined family income to spend on feeding for 30 days, NEPA bill, make provision for annual house rent , cater for the needs of 2 kids etc. 2 Likes |

WhoDeyHause: Omo! Just look at the way they casually call Nigerian citizens lazy 😲 Buhari called Nigerian youths lazy and Remi Tinubu is doing same . People are getting poorer due to their government’s policy and all they can do is imply that the people are not hardworking enough . Na wa o. larride: But why can’t Dangote just come out and say “ I will be selling PMS at N750 to IPMAN o” and let everybody know that’s the price he’s selling , wwatch out for the selling price from IPMAN and let’s all know that subsidy is gone completely ? The funny thing is NNPC is still interested in importation of PMS. The whole thing is just crazy . Today Dangote will be at loggerheads with NNPC fighting them for misrepresenting facts and the next tomorrow Dangote is guarding the price he sold to them like it’s a national security secret. Continuing to keep Kyari as NNPC GMD is an indictment on Tinubu and it shows he’s not ready to solve any problem in the oil and gas sector . There’s no justification whatsoever for Kyari to still be the GMD. I’m annoyed that for 8 years of Buhari we kept hearing the PHC refinery will soon be up and running . Tinubu is nearing 2 years anniversary and it’s still same story . I can bet with 100% confidence that if the refinery is sold , the private investors will do a TAM and the refinery will be working within the timeline set for its re-opening . The staff will even be absorbed by the new management , just that they will now be made to work for every Naira they earn and not the old way of getting paid doing absolutely nothing . 9 Likes 1 Share |

larride: Dangote really carried a lot of Nigerians handicap , although I have never believed his entrant into the oil and gas market will change our oil industry woes . At best , Dangote’s refinery will generate income for the federal government in terms of remittances as a business entity ; but definitely not going to do the common man much favors . If u are lucky enough to be qualified and get a job as an employee there , good for u. Dangote will never sell cheap fuel except he gets subsidized by the FG. I think one major thing should be clear by now ; subsidy was never the issue . What is called “subsidy scam” was obviously the brain child of NNPC management , unscrupulous marketers only keyed into it. The fact that NNPC has refused to be transparent up till this moment definitely suggests they were the ones behind all those inflation of subsidy figures. Na dem Dey run am , oil marketers/importers just joined them in chopping the largesse . Just look at NNPC buying from Dangote , refusing to sell to IPMAN at reasonable price but want to add their own profit margin despite doing absolutely nothing. Later when it’s time to account for all the funds and remit to federation account na stories go follow . House of assembly will do hearing and all, but that’s where it stops. 3 Likes |

larride: You are one of the few people who was objective enough to acknowledge that the haphazard subsidy removal was disaster waiting to happen. Nowadays, grown up adults literally lap themselves in public transport just to save cost due to the high cost of transportation . Food prices keep soaring , electricity is expensive , fuel is expensive ; SMEs are literally dying off . How do u even advise a young school leaver not to venture into Yahoo-Yahoo? Artisans are being seeing any job to do. Mechanics don’t get to repair vehicles like they used to because people have stopped using their cars as much as they used to( Most people use their cars lightly on weekends ). Artisans like electricians , aluminum window guys , bricklayers , etc are hardly getting jobs because nowadays people are hardly spending money on building projects. People are spending majority part of their income on feeding and transportation now. It’s looking like we are in a dark place and the current leadership don’t know what to do to bring on the light other than to just keep promising false hope of “Tomorrow go better “ 8 Likes 2 Shares |

larride: The difficult terrain of the Niger Delta makes it almost impossible to stop bunkering . Even with the combination of Tompolo’s Tatiana and Nigerian Military , it’s quite difficult to police our oil facilities adequately . Also , corruption and the level of injustice we have in this country makes it difficult to stop people from engaging in bunkering . There’s a general perception in the Niger delta that the Niger Delta oil is being used to fund the lifestyle of elite in different parts of the country . Like a Niger Deltan feels it’s unfair Nigerians from other parts of the coubtry get to one oil blocks , live large while their own region where the oil is being explored is left in a bad shape. I believe that’s what pushed some people into bunkering . The fact that the security agencies charged with safeguarding those pipelines are equally corrupt is a major issue . Naval personnel posted for security operations in the Niger Delta are automatically seen as potential millionaires just like customs assigned to border patrol duties . While u are right that IOC’s are moving to cleaner source of energy , I believe if the price is right some Asian investors will still be willing to invest in drilling and exploration of our untapped crude 1 Like |

Ballzproblem2: At this point, celebrating investors building more refineries doesn’t even make any sense to me. Our major issue as of today is depletion in the level of our crude production. We have enough crude on the under the ground that is not yet untapped due to lack of investors willing to invest in drilling and exploration of oil. The feat that will be worth celebrating and will do our economy much good in this period is to attract more investors who are willing to invest drilling and exploration of crude which will increase our crude production and invariably lead to more income for the government . As it stands we can’t even supply the existing operational refineries their daily crude requirements . Yet we have more refineries still under construction which only God knows how they will source their crude inputs when they finally come onboard. 2 Likes 1 Share |

It’s just like Ibiyomie making an analogy that the fruit Adam ate at the garden of Eden was tithe even when there’s nowhere in the Bible it was written that the fruits Adam ate was tithe .
