nateevs: Why not tell us why the Arabs rejected having their own country just like the Jews embraced theirs? Have u ever thought if the Arabs were more reasonable and less thirsty for the blood of the Jews what they could've achieved in the present day world? Just would have their own government, dictate who wants to rule them, make progress in science and technology like the Jews did and can have as much allies as they want. Ask yourself : Why is it hard for the Arabs to coexist with the Jews? Why not put the interests of their people first, build a prosperous country and have a strong military that can defend their territorial sovereignty? Ben Guarion can say anything as a person, but once upon a time the Arabs had the chance of being a peace loving country coexisting with their Jewish neighbors; they chose the path of war and are reaping the spillover of that decision till date. 5 Likes |

nateevs: You are just rinjjhvaway from the major issue I raised in my post. The Arabs had a chance of having a country of their own, governed by laws made for themselves and all that on a platter of gold. They threw it away and chose war instead. They are suffering the effects of losing a war they shouldn't have fought if they were less blood thirsty. You are talking about they being denied a whole lot of things when they threw those things away by losing a war. If anything, the Palestine situation should be a lesson for all that sometimes being aggressive and overrating one's ability can lead to generational suffering for one's decsndants. Hamas only added more suffering to their people's lot by the October 7th attack. I retierate again, the more Hamas terrorists keep using civilians as human shields, the more u will see casualty. Israel as a nation has chose not to be vowed by terrorists who would sit behind civilian population sending rockets into Civilian population in Israel. If they will not come out to fight the military, then the death of their fellow countrymen will be on their hands. After all, Hamas are known to execute their fellow Palestinians anyways. 4 Likes |

seankafor: This is the same story shard by one lady on a popular Yoruba program on which she narrated her ordeal after being kidnapped. She also mentioned how the Kidnappers kept reminding them that anybody whose relatives don't cooperate will be killed without much issues. All of these is enough for Ur guy to avoid intestate travel with flashy cars. Sooner or later he will turn up dead if he continues to value business profit above his personal safety. 1 Like |

raumdeuter: This! My former MD would tell us how he struggled to finish from Uni-Ife (OAU). He said he was just a village boy from one Ikale Village in Ondo state who knew absolute nobody after graduation from university. He came to scort with one of his distant uncles In Lagos after school to start searching for jobs after NYSC in the east. From getting his initial job, moving to another one and finally joining a group of companies. He said the first child naming ceremony he did, he used the money gained from the ceremony to write a professional exam. That cat alone positioned him for greater things. With time he grew through the ranks and became a big man he is today. He comfortably sent 3 kids to private university of his choice, sponsored the eldest on a masters degree abroad and fixed the other two into good paying jobs here in naija where they can cater for themselves. I'm sure he will have enough friends who took the business route and today they are on his list of beneficiaries he sent cash to regularly to support them. Getting paid 12 times a year is nut as bad as people might want to see it 1 Like 2 Shares |

nateevs: Wars have consequences bro. In 1947 the United nation's voted for the creation of two independent States coexisting side by side ; The Arab state of Palestine and the Jewish state of Israel. The Palestinians kicked against this and decided to go to war with the Jewish state believing they will conquer them with the help of their Arab brothers scattered all over the middle east. The Arabs lost the war and they have always had to deal with th consequence of losing a war. They had their lands annexed as spoils of war. You don't lose a war and start dictating how Ur conqueror will be treating u. There's no justification whatsoever for what happened on October 07 2023. The Palestinians crossed the line maiming children, women and thousands of civilians. You will continue to see casualty on the civilian side of Palestine as long as Hamas keeps using civilians as shields for their terrorist activities against the Jewish state. 7 Likes |

raumdeuter: You said nothing but the truth. There are several guys who spent over 7 years in the Igbo apprenticeship system while their mates were in the university studying STEM and social sciences. The apprentice gets settled after years of servitude and starts "business" on his own. There's no guarantee this new businessman will have a better life financially like his friend who got a job as a chemical engineer in an IOC. As for the contract chasing businessmen, we all know the drill. Most of them will not be as rich as they seem on paper had it not been that we have a very high tolerance for corruption in this country. Contractor wey no agree construct standard road go dey do Thanksgiving for church on 31st December about how God has lifted him this year π€¦ββοΈ 1 Like |

Bluelines69: Shakushaku as in; he gets the ball, drives from the wings to central role, runs into a body of players ; either loses the ball or plays the ball back to the player behind him. What happens to spreading the ball across to the other end of the pitch? He does not need to always hold on to the ball till the opposition defence and midfield regroup and adjust their shape. 1 Like |

raumdeuter: I think there's a misconception out there among our people that if do 9 to 5, you can never really be successful like the average businessman. It is on that premise the whole talk about getting paid 12times a year being a bad thing came from. There are enough number of big boys on LinkedIn that made very good money from just doing 9-5. They can easily buy any choice property in any location they decide in the country. Boys that worked in foreign operations and treasury departments of financial institutions that made money trading and their salary still dey there. 2 Likes |

TemporaryHansel: There's nothing wrong with getting paid 12 times in 365 days, it's the quantum of what U get paid at the end of the year that really matters. You may do business and not make some salary earners' gross annual salary as Ur income for 2 years sef. π A friend who works in an indigenous oil and gas company was telling me about the salary of an Executive director that just joined them. The man's annual gross is about 134m ; that's like 11m per month. Now tell me , is anything wrong in getting paid 11m 12 times in a year when u are within Ur late 40's / early 50's? Not to talk of other allowances like profit sharing, profitability bonus, etc? He has a very big SUV as official vehicle o 13 Likes 2 Shares |
