if u re old enough to know Anambra that much u would know that Enugu was carved out of Anambra State in 1991 where all the money made in Anambra including onitsha used to be channelled to as the state capital (Coal city). This has been the case in many states, developing the capital and neglecting other parts of the state. After the carving out of Enugu from Anambra the military regimes didn't do much ofcourse till 1999 when Nigeria came back to democracy.
In 1999, Anambra was unfortunate to be governed by Chinwoke Mbadinuju that contributed nothing to the development of Anambra while leaving office with 30months plus salaries owed civil servants. Thanks to Emeka Offor who was Mbadinuju's political godfather that installed him. Emeka Offor diverted majorly Anambra State fund to himself.
Then in 2003, Ngige was brought in by the Uba brothers who wanted to continue as Emeka Offor did but somehow fell out with Ngige after they wanted to replace Ngige based on the original agreement they had. Ngige then rather endeared himself to Anambra people by starting major road constructions for the first time in Anambra. Then the Uba brothers backed down due to the support given to Ngige by Anambrarians because of his works. So in the 3yrs Ngige stayed in office he managed to construct few major roads while biset with the numerous debt left by the Mbadinuju's administration. So he couldnt really do much. It was Peter Obi that got Anambra to the 3rd most developed state behind Abuja and Lagos due to the even development spread accross Anambra State

I know three of my guys who supported Buhari during the campaigns leading to the 2015 presidential election ofcourse because they were recruited and given the usual peanuts. Then they were all over promoting Buhari candidacy even though they were residing in a community that didnt favour their arguments. But then they were good because they had that little money in the pocket which unfortunately didnt last beyond febuary 2015 and they were back to square one. The promises they were given never materialized. In fact two of my friends who never supported Buhari candidacy later used the same platform that used and dumped those three to climb to the height they are today.
Those three have scavenged around for these past seven years but then somehow they were located again by Tinubu team and they have started from where they stopped since 2015.

There were some concerns for those who were living mostly in Awka during the time of Peter Obi as governor in Anambra. Then people were expecting his government to get Awka to meet the levels of major state capitals in nigeria which awka was far from. But Obi in his own style of leadership didnt follow that line. He gave Awka a facelift and spread the development in all the 178 communities in Anambra.

Then Anambra had three major towns which are more of glorified typical villages - Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi. Obi gave them serious facelift that these towns can conveniently compete with other major towns in Nigeria. Then he created so many other towns from the typical villages they were before his administration - Ekwulobia, Nkwele, Ogbunike, Nkpor, Obosi, Abagana, Enugu Ukwu, Nise, Amawbia, Ifite dunu, Ifite Ukpo, Aguleri etc by constructing major roads that linked these towns to one another and relocated some of the markets that made Onitsha so congested then to some of these abovementioned towns.
So someone resident in Awka that didnt know about the developmental projects going on in other places around the state obviously had concerns then.

I was in Awka then. If Obi has concentrated his development in the three major towns - Onitsha Nnewi and Awka all those other towns he made what they are today - Ekwulobia, Oko, Aguleri, Ogidi, Obosi, Nkpor, Abagana, Enugu Ukwu, Nkwele etc would have still been typical villages today
