Just a brief highlight:
POF - Gift Deed (50%), 3 months statement of Dorm account and 6months statement of Naira Account (50%). I got a reference letter from Fcmb but not in the IRCC format as the lady said no before I could ask...lol.
ECA - I made a mistake earlier but by God's grace, it was corrected before my file assessment began. I started my document evaluation with IQAS on 31st July 2017, sent my Bsc only and got acknowledgment on the 5th of September and after that i came across a post tslking sbout 2 or certificates. So i contacted IQAS and after several pleas, they agreed that i send another certificate while my file will be put on hold until they receive the new documents. After several challenges encountered in the school, my documents got to IQAS on september 26th. Received new acknowledgement October 25th and ECA arrived exactly 25mins after i made my ielts.
*Conclusion: Two or more certificates* .
IELTS - Listening humbled me big time but in all I give thanks to God and my sweet boo who after every attempt was so encouraging and prayerful. My attempts below;
Aug. 19 2017 - 1st Attempt
Sep. 30 2017 - 2nd Attempt
Oct. 28 2017 - 3rd Attempt

Special salute to God, and to all the e-folks here for the amazing assistance and support you all rendered to me. It will surely end in praise for all!

It’s a PPR rain something today. Congrats. Dappydappa: So, I shared this long epistle on the 6th of April, 2018.
Hey mate, it's ok to cry but make sure you get up, dust ur ass and do the exam again. However, I suggest you do not attempt a re-evaluation. They will just take ur money and give same results. Lemme share my IELTS journey with you.
1st attempt.....5.5, 5.5, 7.0, 7.0 2nd attempt....6.0, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5 3rd attempt.....6.0, 5.5, 7.5, 7.0 4th attempt.....7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.0 5th attempt.....6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 6th attempt.....8.5, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5 7th attempt.....9, 7.0, 6.5, 8.0 8th attempt.....9, 8.5, 7.0, 7.0.
Note that where I live, the BC IELTS test is about 110k, re-evaluation is 63k and I spend a minimum of 150k for each of these attempts. IELTS humbled me but I eventually conquered.
For the listening practice, I wish I had stumbled into IELTS-mentor.com prior to my 6th attempt. You should definitely use this website and, attempt finishing the listening practice tests. There are about 14 of them. The answer section will show/tell you all that you had done wrongly in the previous exams. At the point where it says "you have sometime to look at your answers" during the listening test, kindly move on to next session if you have nothing to look at. That's actually the trick to have a headstart. (Pls, don't apply for another exam unless you start to score 37 and above in the listening practice).
Also follow Jay on E2 language (YouTube) or his blog if you have money and don't mind paying for his teaching classes (I didn't). He is quite resourceful in reading, writing and speaking. Always write your answers (listening) in block (capital) letters.
Finally, do not stay down. It's okay to fail, weep, cry and feel devastated but, make sure you don't stay down. Get up, dust ur ass and always remember that it's only IELTS that is stopping you from getting your MAPPLE card.
***Shout outs to Gliterringstar and Amoese. I don't know how to thank you guys.
Then, I got ITA on the 11th of April, 2018... CRS was 449 eAPR on 3rd May ADR on 4th July PPR on 6th July.

wow!!! Congrats! brickspumping: It was a long and tortuous journey. It all started in 2014.I sent in application in dec 2014 and they started processing in March 2015.There were long pauses and in between and various forms had to be updated.Police report was done twice and some affidavits. They even went to the point of checking the name on the registered line of my former workplace. They also picked salary payment claim of my former place of work stating that I couldn't have been paid over the counter as the CBN cashless policy didn't allow that.A 45-paged defense had to be done quoting several publications per NCC and CBN supporting my position.Cashless policy was first run in pilot phases and later suspended in some areas. My state fell in this category. In all,God showed himself mighty. Passports arrived on Monday....2014-2018...can anyone beat that? 1 Like |

Awwww. Praise God. I remember your story. hifyty: Folks,
I have a testimony, we have passed our medicals, even though the CIC doc told us clearly, you would most likely be asked for further tests for your daughter. we give glory to God that is not happening. I dont know how God did it but he did it anyway. The good glitch that happened also moved our application into the IP2 gang.
Let me borrow the most popular phrase in here; It will end in praise!

Make una no ask me about IP1 IP2 or NA nothing.. Seriously we were pursuing too much hustle to be bothered about where the application was. its not as easy as its typed. The financial part was a huge one.. Money was not readily available as we thought we had our own pre ITA timeline on our heads.. Thanks for the thread as this is where i got the inspectors number for police certificate he made that very easy.

Woke up to this mail this morning. please is this PPR mail?
- Am I to send it to Dubai office? I have never really seen any applicant on this platform that was required to send passports to Dubai.
- Should I use a prepaid envelope as requested by them, cos I only see people's request is to send to Ghana VO and they use a one way dhl package. I don't know which one is ARAMEX courier mail? Can I use dhl to send the mail from here? (I have highlighted this part of the letter in red)
- I also see in the mail that this Dubai visa office charges service fee for PASSPORT TRANSMISSION SERVICE (saw this description from their website United Arab Emirates: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/uae/). Have you heard of this before? How do I go about payment please? (I have highlighted this part of the letter in red)

· Change in contact information: mailing address, e-mail address, or telephone number.
Your failure to inform CIC of any of these changes may result in the cancellation of your permanent resident visa and may render you and your accompanying family members inadmissible to Canada.
Your failure to declare all of your family members, accompanying or not, will permanently exclude them from sponsorship under the Family Class regulations.
STEP 2: Passport Requirements – Determine if you need to submit your passport(s)

If you do not require a visa to enter Canada:
· Please submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and one for each accompanying family member.
· Ensure that your passport is valid for at least 12 months from the date of this letter.

NOTE: The Embassy’s Immigration Section is no longer open to the public. Therefore, you cannot drop-off your passport(s) in person at the Embassy.
We are looking forward to receiving your package within 30 days to conclude your application for permanent residence in Canada.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your PR card is still valid when you return from travel outside Canada, and to apply for a new PR card when your current card expires. If your PR card expires, it does not mean you have lost permanent resident status.

Ambidextrause: Hello Good People,
I got PUM today!!! And I wish to share my story as a testimony to God's glory and in the hopes that someone might be encouraged, inspired, and motivated. (This post may be a bit long. Sorry)
AOR was July 25, 2017
At first, my application was refused. And as I read the refusal letter with shivers down my spine, I figured the VO based his/her decision singularly on insufficient funds. I was beyond crestfallen. I could not even wish that on my enemy. It came on an afternoon and I thanked God I did not drive to work that day cos I would't know how I would have fared behind the wheels. More painful was the fact that the rejection/refusal came after 134 days of agonizing wait! I had been so expectant since I felt I had satisfied every requirement. Meanwhile, a spike in FOREX rates around early August 2017 had relegated my POF below the LICO by 330CAD. Can you imagine that?!
I bottled it up. Never opened my mouth to tell a soul. I did not want to share the heartbreak with my family and close friends who knew I was on this train. So I reached out to my e-friends on this platform, chief of whom are Blackbuddy, 40manlappy, and GlitteringStar for solace and advice. I felt the reason for refusal was flimsy -- they thought so too. I was going to appeal!
Now, up until then, it's not been a common thing to see a refusal decision reversed. But my case was going to be different as I went to God in my unspeakable pain and disappointment. I cast all the burden on him with hope and faith. As advised, I sent the first email and raised a CSE showing that I indeed satisfied the POF requirement, with updated POF attached. After 3 days, my appeal was rejected. It was so devastating but I kept my cool. While me e-friends were following-up and asking for updates, I only told them IRCC were yet to respond. I kept praying. One week passed. Two weeks. Nothing. So, I sent another email, trying to make them see my point. I was begging for mercy, as advised. Failed again.
I had given up, turning my sights on PNP as my CRS had dropped to 427 and no chance of having the draws smile on me. This was January this year. Then on one Sunday evening, Tosin, who also experienced same, reached out to me again, saying I couldn't just be quiet and be waiting or just give up. Then I heard a little voice saying I should try again. I sent another email on Monday but instead got a refund of my RPRF. Damn! I caught a cold that night. Managed to get home. Struggled through the week. Then God provoked me himself - a colleague of mine, who applied after me, got PPR. We congratulated him but I was very sad deep inside. Mine was coming, I shrugged. That night, I drafted another email - this time stating my utter displeasure and showing the unfairness in the refusal decision - and I sent it directly to the minister! I remember I said a silent prayer before clicking the send button: Lord, don't let this one return the way others did.
The next day, I saw a notification, my application had been reopened. I was asked to pay the 490CAD RPRF. I returned the money they had earlier rejected back to them. 3 days later, I got PPR! Now happening so fast I could barely remember the pains I had felt a month ago. I was overjoyed and broke the news to my family and friends - they did not know the underlying story, did not need to. The devil is a liar!!!
AOR to PPR = 184 days
I want to appreciate the selfless efforts of everyone on this platform. And to those of us expecting one thing or the other on this Canadian journey, God will make it all end in praise. Thank you all! God bless!!!
And Wura27 should be ready to add me to that WhatsApp group.
Your case is different. Congrats. Delay isn’t denial. God is good!!!! 6 Likes |

Congratulations!!! All the short timeline, Papa God, i will testify. Lucious477: Hi guys,
I'm very thankful to God because I've received the golden mail and I don't know how to celebrate!
My Timeline: CRS 454 ITA Dec 6th 2017 AOR Jan 12th 2018 MEP Jan 26th IP1 Jan 26th NA2 Feb 1st IP2 Feb 20th PPR Feb 21st Family of 3 No ADR Visa Office: Ottawa
Some highlights of my application includes; 1. My POF = T-Bills(3months) + Generic Bank Ref Letter + 6months SOA + Gift of deed (100% amount from direct family). My total POF is in the T-Bills, explained this in my LOE. 2. Proof of employment = Reference letter (included NYSC experience) + Pay stubs. 3. There was a mistake in my spouse's name on our daughter's birthday cerficate, so I attached an affidavit (confirmation of name) together with the document to clarify this. Also explained this in my LOE. 4. Educational documents= Degree certificates + WES. I didn't include IELTS certificate although I registered the certificate number somewhere else in my application. 5. My spouse hasn't officially changed her name so I submitted our application with her maiden name. Our marriage certificate was enough proof I guess. 6. Passport photos = We took our final printed photos (50x70mm) from "Study 24" ahead of time. I scanned and resized it to the required specification (35x45mm) (using MS software) and used it for Post ITA submission. That's all I can remember off the top of my head and I hope it helps. Thanks to everyone that has ever communicated on this thread (names too numerous to list), it was very helpful! For those still hoping for better IELTS scores, please try again and give it all you have this time. For those still expecting the silver mail, please be very hopeful. Try to improve your CRS, while in the pool if you need to. For those still anticipating towards receiving the golden mail, it will certainly come! I'm wishing everyone here the very best and remember it will end in praise! 4 Likes |

God bless you boo! Yes, passed medicals yesterday. so i guess i am in IP1. Newmum0615: It's probably IP1. Did you just pass medicals?
The write-up below was posted by someone a while ago. I can't remember who or even find the link now.
APPLICATION STAGES I have actually been intending to make a post regarding this but never had the time. For all post ITA folks that have been wondering what the heck the acronyms mean. The below post sheds more light on the is and shows the timeline. Here we go
Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR): This is a letter you will get within 24 hours after submission of your PR application. It is a templated letter saying that your application is submitted with the application number mentioned. Applicants may use this to apply for a Bridge of Work (BOW) permit, if applicable.
Background Check "Not Applicable" (NA1): This will be your BG status message as soon as you submit and get AOR. Typically, this will be status till the time you get your medical passed status.
Medical Passed (MP or MEP) : Your medical exam statues will change to “You passed the medical exam“. This will generally happen after approx 15-30 days after your AOR (there has been recent stories here of people getting their medical passed sooner, So this is a ballpark figure). For PNP applicants it can take more time generally. So don't be alarmed.
Background Check "In Progress" (IP1): This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office). At this stage they only check for all documents and that whether the applicant is not missing any documents. The documents are not scrutinized at this stage, except for Police Clearance certificate (dates, and period is covered based on your answers from the Personal and Travel History); Additional docs (like Schedule A, Travel History, Family Info, Proof of something, etc.) may be requested at this stage. NB Additional Document Request = ADR
Background Check "Not Applicable" (NA2):This will signify that IP1 is completed. Sometimes IP1 will take few hours and if we have not checked our account during the time it was in IP1, it won’t be possible to know that we are in NA1 or NA2. Our file will be transferred to CPC (Case Processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer (VO) and same time they will initiate Security Checks. usually happens between 1-2 months from eAOR. This stage is where applicants' first phase of A11.1 Eligibility and documents are checked by the CIO. At this stage the agent checks if the points match, are above the round's ITA points, eligibility under the stream is met, points are claimed genuinely and if there are no irregularities in the documents or work experience, NOC, etc. After this the application is sent to the Local Visa Office (LVO) for finalization and second checks.
Background Check "In Progress" (IP2):Background (BG) status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“. This is the stage wherein the LVO opens the file to check your entire application and confirm the notes and insights from the CIO agent. Eg. proof of funds, letter of employment, if any; This usually happens after all the security, criminality and eligibility is all okay. and at around the 2-4 months mark from the eAOR. PPR mail will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF up front (or be requested if no upfront payment was made). PPR mails these days are taking 7-20 days after you are in IP2 stage. All these things will be done at CPC office.
Background Check "Not Applicable" (NA3): This will signify that IP2 is completed. This status is not visible in most cases (except you are refreshing your browser every seconds) and direct PPR request is placed from IP2.
Passport Request (PPR) : This is the email which every applicant stresses and waits for, it is also known as The Golden Email. This means the officer is satisfied and has approved your application also has requested your passport (if needed) or photocopy of passport (if from visa-exempt country) along with 2 photos and annex A form, to stamp the Immigrant Visa and issue the CoPR - Confirmation of Permanent Residency(a letter serving proof that you are a PR). It is this letter used for "landing" at the border and in officially becoming a Permanent Resident. This letter is later also used for citizenship application (if applicable).
I hope all post ITA applicants benefit from this. I have managed to bolden the useful abbreviations.
