Hello. I'm so sorry if the question has been previously asked on this thread, I tried searching and just couldn't get the answer. So please pardon me for asking again if it has been asked before.

I'll like to know the meaning of semester hours. How do one calculate it using Nigerian degree perspective. Thank you

Bring any and all court or arrest documents that you have related to the incident. If more are needed, we will ask you to bring them in and won't be able to move forward until you do.

This doesn't sound like an immigrant visa question - you don't fill out a DS-160 for immigration purposes.

Ok. Whatever form it is one has to fill, I'm asking based on immigration purpose. Your reply would be very much appreciated. Thank you,

hello VO, how are you doing? I have been arrested once in the UK during one of my visits to the UK on a tourist visa (I have never lived in the UK) but was only cautioned, I would like to declare it on my ds 160 form since it says even tho one was pardoned we still have to answer yes to the question, I see on the form a part that shows explain. is the explanation alone enough or do I need to obtain some kind of documents from UK, If yes, what are the documents I would be needing? thanks in anticipation.

ello sa! lol. welcome to this thread, you doing a great job. please can you explain what a waiver is, when one needs one and the whole process. during one of my visits to UK, i was arrested and given a police caution for a case of shop lifting (value less than £20) which i regret till date. i will like to know if i would be needing a waiver in my case. i have also read of crime of moral turpitude, does this count as a crime of moral turpitude? can you please shed more light on it. thanks

I'm glad to report that it doesn't sound like your arrest quite meets the threshold of moral turpitude. Theft is, technically, a crime of moral turpitude, but if it's your only offense and you weren't sentenced to more than six months imprisonment, it won't be a permanent ineligibility. In fact, we'll respect you for being honest about it. Hope this helps!
So happy to hear that. I wasn't even sentenced at all. So I guess I should be fine. Thanks a lot VO. God bless

Good day ma. I would like you to please explain what a crime of moral turpitude is. Here is my case, I was once arrested and given a police caution for a case of shoplifting in the UK for an item valued less than £20. I have never had any other problem with the police aside this case which even happened as a sign on foolishness on my own side which I regret till today, now here is my question, does this make me permanently inadmissible, because my partner is about to petition for me, ma, I would like to confirm if my situation makes me inadmissible, hence my immigrant visa application rejected. I'm asking this so that we don't just waste our time and resources on something that wouldn't work ma, nd also so we can think of other ways of being together which may be really hard because coming back to settle in Nigeria might be a very big problem. Thanks in anticipation ma.

Greetings! Your fiance's choice of living with his parents (or not) will not affect the visa petition in any way. smiley
Ok ma. Thanks a lot for the reply. I would just tell him to take the step of moving back to his parent's house in order to save cost then we can get an apartment when I finally relocate. Thanks once again ma

Good day VO! I have been following this thread for a while now. Thank you for your excellent service. Here is my question, my fiancé and I are getting married soon and he plans on filling a spouse visa immediately after the marriage. He lives alone, in a 2 bedroom apartment so when I join him, we can start our lives together Atleast for a start, but now he is thinking of moving back to his parents house(he lives about 10minutes away from his parent's house) till I finally join him. He said he intends moving back in order to cut down cost, like cost of his apartment, food, electricity and some other monthly cost that can be saved it he moves back to his parent's place. Now here is my question, what do you think of the decision he is considering taking? Is it a good one? in order to file for spouse visa, does he have to own his own apartment? Will that affect the petition being approved or the visa being granted? Thank you in anticipation ma. God bless
