AfricanColumbus:Stop misleading people. Supreme Court can challenge his order as it has constitutional power to declear some President executive orders as unconstitutional. That he might tyrannically disobey the rule of law is different thing. 2 Likes |

This man and his seeming jobless behaviour... But frankly speaking, it'd be more easier for the camel to pass through niddle hole than for the my-Lords to convince the Nigerian masses that justice was done in the Lawan/Machina case. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I remember one of President Obama's key promise during his first term campaign; "I will shut down Guatanamo Bay prisons. It is hypocritical of America to be preaching democracy and rule of law to the world yet own a facility where suspects are kept without trial for many years. The shutting down of that illegal detention centre would be one of my first executive order once I am sworn in as the President of the United States. " (Paraphrased) As I write this, Obama is nearing the end of his second term in office and Guatanamo prison is still standing and the US are still detaining high risk suspects there, some for upward of 10 to 15 years without trial or prosecution in any law court anywhere in the world. Obama came to office as a green horn in security matters. He did not know that security issues are not subject to campaign rhetoric. I remember John McCain, his Republican challenger, a war veteran and a Senator of over 30 years, who had chaired several Senate security committee in the US Senate telling Obama he does not know what he's talking about! You will wonder why Obama kept silent on Guatanamo till now? Now, he knows better. That's why I laugh reading Facebook 'activist' and unrepentant Buhari bashers pontificating and sermonising over the rule of law after what President Buhari said about granting bail for individuals that has serious case against the state that pertains to security issues. What folks don't understand is that the rule of law itself is subject to the rule and right of a nation when it pertains to the security and wellbeing of the people of a country against that of a few individuals. That's why, the USA that calls themselves the land of freedom and the bastion of democracy in the world do not care about the rule of law when it concerns the security of her people. That supercede any rule of law. Cry from today to eternity, you are just wasting your time and effort, America will ignore you and do what they have to do. Check this; the US flouted every international law when the President of the US ordered special combat forces to go into the territory of another sovereign nation, Pakistan in order to get Osama bin Laden. Not only was Osama ordered to be killed extra judicially but his corpse was even buried at sea. When I read a book detailing the preparation for that mission by one of the members of that special force that entered into Pakistan under the cover of the night, you will realize that when it comes to the security and safety of the United States, they are ready to flout any law. Now, do you want to accuse Obama of illegality? Has Pakistan sued America at the World court? Also, please who amongst the vuvuzelas shouting themselves hoarse on Facebook will pick up the gauntlet and sue the President of the US for killing Osama bin Laden extra judicially? Ohhh don't they think Osama bin Laden has fundamental right to fair hearing? Yeye people! One of the reasons I supported president Buhari came to fore during his media chat. I am an advocate of the rule of law and I believe in it but personally I believe we have to draw a line when the rule of law comes into conflict with security, safety and the well being of citizens of a given nation. You can't flagrantly abuse the security and well being of the people and come around to shout about rule of law when it's time to face the consequences of your action. Our judicial process must be overhauled to conform with the reality of the moment. America knows this better. For once, this country has a President that is ready to lead! It's not that PMB does not believe in the rule of law. After all, this is a man that was rigged out of election on about 3 occasions but followed the rule of law by going all up to the Supreme court to seek redress. What the President is saying to whoever care to listen is that, when it comes to the safety, well being and progress of this nation no individual would use the rule of law to escape justice. That's why he said point blank concerning the Shi'ite issue that you can't have a state inside a state! It's either folks are ready to shape up or ship out! This country has been thrown to the dogs, it's high time we take it back and put it on the path of sanctity. Enough of lilly livered leadership, it's time to run this country according to dictates of the time we live in. If you don't like it, sorry, we have a country to run and you will have to excuse us. |

It's a good decision u made going back to school but the mistake lies in ur course of study. It's a waste of time and money plus restricted job opportunities in our current economy. Too many lawyers. Fewer jobs for them. Btw canbi pm u I'd actually lice to know more about what caused this delay Thanks for concern but the problem lies in my inability to proceed to the nigerian law school and not about the course per se |

you did what you believed was RIGHT by you, and thats all that matters. there are always obstacles in the path of life, nothing is easy but you must have a POSITIVE mindset. i can sense nothing but negative feels in what you wrote, and as much as your situation aint the best, i am sure there are many positive things in your life that you can be proud of. so count your blessings, and take a step (in the right direction at a time. keep your head up and keep doing what you are doing as for you saying that you are single because you have no money, let me (be blunt and) say: OH SHUT IT!!!! your financial situation has nothing to do with your r/ship status. if that was true then there wouldnt be so many poor people out there happily married and having families. your LOW SELF ESTEEM and MISCONCEPTIONS are the reason why you are single. the minute you start to value yourself and love the man you see in the mirror, is the day you will have any chance of going forward in this issue (or any other). Happy New Year my fellow nairalanders, how are u guys doing ? Very Fine. I guessed. I create this thread purposely to share with you a decision I made, difficulty I'm undergoing therefrom and my feelings currently thereby seeking useful advice/help accordingly. If I'm to narrate everything about myself here I'm very sure only few of you will be able to read till the last paragraph. Succintly however, it's very unfortunate that getting close to fourty years of age I'm still single not because of any disablility in my body but due to total financial incapabillty. There is nothing tangible to lay claim on, except my certificate. Despite much efforts I have not been able to secure job notwithstanding my readiness to do ANY non illegal job no matter how small remuneration. I have no capital to start business even though I have idea of what to do. No collateral to secure loan. All I have is my God and my certificate. I'm from a very very very humble family. Trying to answer your question of how I find myself in this sorry condition @ this age of mine will definitly amount to telling my story in detail which I want to avoid so as not to bore you with a problem that is specificaly mine. But it's pertinent to know that I spent a large part of my early life ,after primary school, doing what my late parents, who were stark illitrates, considered to be best career for me (pardon me for keeping it or you can PM me to knw more). Though not early enough, I later discovered myself as having potential ability to do more better than their chosen career for me. Hence my decision to enroll myself into one of the leading Nigerian Federal Universities where I read law even without attending secondary school mainly because doing so might amount to wasting more years of my life, precious part of which had already gone. What I did instead was Just buying necessary text books, read well and registered for WAEC and NECO exams. Thank God I graduated against all odds and the rest is now form a chapter in my biography. Some may be doubting but their inability to believe does not change its veracity. Yes, I graduated but where is the money to finance my law school fees. All my efforts to solicit help from well-to-do nigerians are yet to be fruitful. Four years after my graduation. Don't you have siblings ? Yes, I have, only that they are not on the same page with me. They myopicaly think I'm just wasting my time by derailing from our parents' chosen career. Even if they had reasoned with me, they have no means to help financially. I forget to add that I'm the last born and only graduate of my nuclear family, probably first graduate of the extended. I'm now beginning to doubt whether in fact I'd not taken a very wrong decision by ever attempting to go to school at all not to talk of reading law(inability to proceed to the Nigerian Law School). Moreso as they are now like 'didn't we tell you?' Pls what's the solution now? Thanks for reading and insults are welcomed but don't forget to call my attention to where I got it wrong and advise me on what next of action I should take. In case you want private discussion with me pls do so via ibramans62k7@yahoo.com Uncle Seun, Lalasticlala, ishilove, obynoscopy and all admin crew thank you for this opportunity. Can you guys kindly contribute u quota by doing d needful. THANKS |

Politics / Before You Blaim Buhari: By Isalekoto Nurudeen by Born2bgreat(m): 4:51pm On Dec 11, 2015 |
Each time you feel like complaining that the Economy is bad...remember Dasuki took $2.1 billion from CBN's vault and created a major crack in the Economy. Everytime you want to wail that the economy is in shambles...remember Dokpesi collected N2.1billion from our common wealth. Each time you feel like complaining that people are losing their jobs on a daily basis, remember the N4.6billion collected for Spiritual purposes(still can't get over that) contributed to worsening our lot as a country. Whenever you want to insult Buhari that nothing is working , remember Odili collected N100M for what purpose we don't know yet and that money can build a major factory. At a time you would want to say Buhari hasn't achieved anything yet, remember Bode "Tewonde" George took N100M and up until now, he hasn't account for it...that money ensured our economy was torn apart the more. On days you believe you should abuse the CHANGE mantra, make sure you remember Dasuki said he was asked to distribute N10billion to everyone from kitchen cabinet to organisations to ensure your hero won the election...that amount further depleted our National wealth.... Before you call Buhari different names remember he met an almost irredeemable Economy and alongside his VP, they are trying to clean up the mess.... Some people's Fathers,Husbands, Children, Cousins and Nephews were sent to the battle front to go and die at the expense of their re-election bid.... How CALLOUS was your hero? They watched people die like chicken and even had the guts to charge the brave soldiers with mutiny.... To face the reality of the matter, Dasuki and any other people involved in $2.1 Billion Arms Deal Scam should also face the charges on killing innocent soldiers. Because thousands of these innocent soldiers dead in the war front against Boko Aram without while Dasuki and others refused to buy good ammunition for them. Instead, sharing the money among themselves... The spirit and soul of those deseased innocent soldier will make your family surfer till their last breath In Shaa Allah! 2 Likes |

Before making comment @ all ask urself this questions : - what would APC gain from assasinating him ? - how would the writer of this news or OP come to the conclusion that the assasins are working for APC ? - can't some elements in PDP(those facing or likely to be faced corruption charge espedially) eliminate him to frustrate their prosecution? NOTE am nt trying to exonerate anyone but jst try to think wisely before any conclusion. 1 Like |
