At this point maybe the government should just open the borders for food importation, because, obviously operators in the local market are not interested in local supply but only their profit margin. It's the small scale farmers i pity, they get the short end in all scenarios 1 Like |

IF Sanwo can complete these before he leaves, he would overtake Jakande as most performing 1 Like 1 Share |

I like the guy's advocacy, it is what many a people shy away from saying even though they also find it distasteful and disturbing. Skin bleaching/toning/glowing is unhealthy, even more worrying is the proliferation of uncertified products/organics shops in every street corner. Although it poses danger mostly only to the persons involved in the act, it speaks volume of how a society perceives itself and that negative self perception has persisted unfortunately for generations since the 70s when Fela recorded "Yellow Fever" to address the rising act then. As Africans, from Coted'voire to Nigeria to Tanzania, It is important that we continue to advocate against the practice because the way we see ourselves will determine how others see us, #blackisbeautiful #selflove #embraceyourskin #notobleaching #glowingup #toning or whatever name product marketers give it 12 Likes 1 Share |

All i see here is post-seperation custodial battle being sold as something more. The children should be returned to their mother asap except she is deemed unfit by the courts to look after them. Some women are just problematic, why should you accept to take 4 kids you obviously do not care for under your wings just to spite their mother? nawa 2 Likes |

They could also station lastma officials there to ward off those truck drivers bent on passing through and damaging the barrier, at least during the day |

Our Kenyan's brothers continue to hold their own as leaders in the African tech space TAWI is an innovative and accessible solution that addresses the communication challenges faced by children with Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), APD is a hearing condition in which your brain has challenges processing sounds. By leveraging real-time speech recognition technology, TAWI suppresses background noise, enhances speech quality, and converts speech-to-text, all tailored to each child’s specific needs. With just earphones and a smartphone and the use of AI for the speech to text and audio enhancement, the application will suppress ambient noise in loud environments so that the user can hear the speaker clearly and focus on what they are saying. In addition the user will be able to read along with speech to text, all of this occurring in real-time. TAWI empowers children with APD to overcome communication barriers, confidently navigate the world and achieve their full potential. The team – John Onsongo Mabeya, Muna Said, Syntiche Musawu Cishimbi and Zakariya Hussein Hassan – met at a school hackathon, it was there that they discovered they had a common goal and complementary skills. Paired with their shared tech experience and a determination to make a change in the world the groundwork for future collaborations and projects was laid. The team entered the Imagine Cup competition because they wanted to address an issue in education, specifically one involving children with APD. TAWI was inspired by one of the team members who has a sibling with APD, and they witnessed firsthand their sibling's difficulties and recognized the need for a more practical and cost-effective alternative to traditional hearing aids. "As a team, we are very excited about the potential impact that our project, TAWI, could have on the lives of children with APD. We believe that TAWI, which uses real-time speech recognition and amplification, could be a game changer for these children, allowing them to participate more fully in social and educational settings. Our hope is that TAWI will eventually become widely available and help to address a critical community need." - Muna, Team TAWI. The future is being shaped by these bright young minds, and their journey is just beginning. Congratulations and well done to TAWI, and the incredible World Finalists, C-SM Tool and Eupnea, along with all other competitors in the 2023 Imagine Cup. This year’s competition has again been a thrilling adventure into the world of innovation, where the limits of what is achievable with the power of AI to change the world are continually pushed, and dreams become reality. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/student-developer-blog/2023-imagine-cup-world-championship-winner-revealed/ba-p/3827602 cc nlfpmod |
