I have personally heard so much about his lifestyle and I doubt if any amount of image cleansing here can wipe out his past. Rather than deny his past, he should admit. Who knows, he may have been a changed person.

Thank you jare.

You guys are so un educated, foolish and stupid - even you, a common office worker deserves to go on leave, why is it a bad thing when the office of the President also goes on leave? Why are you all so ignorant and stupid? who says he is going on leave for health reasons?

@ i_clown

I'll not waste my time posting anything new regarding this.just what someone has said before

"If the President don go holiday, make him explain to us why him they go 2weeks holiday in the midst of Economic crisis.

Otherwise David Mark must look for 5 doctors to unseath this man. 150 million people and Nigeria is bigger than one man."

is bad road the only cause of road accidents worldwide[tt][/tt]

in as much as people are seriously ignorant of road management, awareness, and want to be stupid on the road every second accident then and again this is bound to happen , which is same on that KUBWA MAIN ROAD every day, but the point still remain that our roads are dangerous to the xtreme.

You should only read his (i_laugh but I call him i_clown) past comments, he truly expresses his blind patriotism in the hope of loving Nigeria not actually realising that he’s one of Nigeria’s greatest enemy by not being able to call a spade what it is – spade.

His virtual meaningless and unhelpful rants regarding people who actually take their time to type the bitter and honest truth speaks volumes about the kind of person he is.

i_laugh:

Honestly, someone said there are intelligent people on NairaLand, hmm, this cracked me up like someone whose nose has just been pulled by a clown, intelligent people on NairaLand? NairaLand is a gathering of the most foolish people I have ever been mis fortuned to come accross - my kids - the oldest is 9 years old - laughs with greatest abandon when they read some of these posts and thinking, we come here when bored, get a good laugh and patt ourselves and oh men, we concluded, NairaLand was created for fools, and anyone who thinks otherwise can have his/her butt hole wipped with sand paper - yeah right - y'all very inteligent.

Someone - B. O. S. S. - says dont compare America with Nigeria - and all he has simply done in his long thread is to compare America with Nigeria, yet, because he is so foolish, and failed to read his won posts - says - dont comapre America with Nigeria - in a way, he supports what I have said, but he is so foolish to see that he is actualy agreeing with me.

He says, if you disobey traffic in Nigeria - police will collect bribe from you, so, what are you saying? police is the one who asked them to dis obey traffic rules or, he says so many stupid things that my daughter had to actually print out his post to take to her kindergaten school for break time gaffes and laughs.

Conclusion- the comments only added to my thinking - God, when will you expunge fools out of Nigeria?

These fools now argue that you cant compare America with Nigeria because of so many easons, but yet, read all thier thread, and you will find out this is exactly what they spend their time doing - when a plane crashes in America and no life is lost - they come here and they are the first to wish same in Nigeria - they say, if it happens in Nigeria - all will be dead - yet, they say to you, dont compare America to Nigeria - they are the ones who hides in their little corner where ever they are and tell you, nothing works in Nigeria, but in America all things wor, and yet they tell you, dont compare Nigeria to America.

@ i_clown

I am not agreeing with you

When will you ever wake up to reality? When will you back off your idiocy and illiteracy? You should take up your time to pick up a good book rather than waste it on Nairaland. I honestly hope your children don’t end up like you (your virtual life) as I don’t know you in the real world.

More so, when will you ever realise that America as a force joined hands to build on what their fore fathers achieved and as compared to the present Nigerian leaders' mentality. The past leaders of America worked together (though there are bad eggs among them) but the majority still made the effect realised today (which you are praising).

Journalists in Nigeria are now being used as government tools of propaganda which I’ve not heard of in America. Fair enough, North America is 232 years while Nigeria is just about 50 however Nigeria of today should be making progress rather than going backwards.

The fact that people like you reign abuses on people who never agree with your opinions shows your level of illiteracy and this is very common and I’ve seen that in most of your posts.

Today’s Nigeria is bleeding from multiple stab wounds in every part of its body - Religion wounds, tribal wounds, northern wounds, southern wounds, east & west wounds, political wounds, leadership wounds, and illiteracy.
Today’s Nigeria is also suffering from all types of cancers - corruption, stealing, forgery, embezzlements, quackery, idiocy, illegitimacy police, and military.
Today’s Nigeria has a stinking problem of capital freight, and brain drain - drowning with exploding population, unemployment, lack of opportunity, high rate of crime.
**************
Nigeria should be lamented and then buried for what it is - "DEAD".
But?
Nigeria is waiting for a last blow in the temple - PDP or Revolution.
If you recall 50 years ago!
Nigeria had a Northern & Southern protectorate!
Civil War - that has not ended yet in the minds of many millions.
Military coups on top of military coups
1999, & 2007
Demagoguery, Bully, and Hypocrisy.

This is the kind of person you are
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
Sounds like you are the coward here - not able to express your feelings.

NIGERIAN LOVERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEND IT TO DEATH
Obviously, you are not ready to give up your life to protect all the beauty and glory of this marvelous incredible paradise.

IS THAT ALL YOU GOT TO SHOW FOR YOUR MOTHERLAND?
A place of milk & honey spread out in grace with abundance of green pasture, hands wide open to welcome it's sons & daughters.

NIGERIA OF YOUR DREAMS
Four lane highways from Lagos to Sokoto tarred with shinny black asphalt and gravel. Hospitals for the sick, schools for the children, employment opportunities for the strong and willing. Electricity that never fails for no good reason, and clean drinkable water for the thirsty.

SHOW ME YOUR PRIDE OR ONE SINGLE THING TO BE PROUD OF SINCE INDEPENDENCE
If you have nothing to say - don't admonish or wave off the truth.

Remember, not all the problems we encounter in life are of our own making but the solutions we contribute can be counted in our column of achievements.

Time to nip Nigeria’s issues in the bud.

It's getting better so they say. But the average amount of people killed by road accidents in the last 10years in comparison to today hasn't really changed  has it? These are promising talents again wasted by the ineffective governments.

There could be a future "world footballer of the year" among those killed and now his dream is gone. Who knows? Just waiting for when my country would sit back and just do the easiest thing and that is THINK!

Crash kills Nigerian footballers

Police in Nigeria say 15 members of a local government football team have been killed in a road accident in central Plateau state.

The Nigeria Football Federation head, Mohamed Sanusi, said the team had been on their way to play a match in Abuja.

A similar incident in the same area last month killed at least nine female football players.

Correspondents say Nigeria's roads are among the most dangerous in the world, killing thousands of people every year.

Mr Sanusi said the team, FC Jimeta from north-east Adamawa state, had been heading to the capital for a professional league match when their bus was involved in an accident.

He told AFP news agency that 11 players had died at the scene while four others died in hospital. Two other injured players were said to be "on the danger list".

"It is really another very sad day for Nigerian football," said Mr Sanusi.

Career / Re: Best Paying Professional Career In Nigeria? by BOSS7: 1:58pm On Jan 25, 2009
But how true is this? My colleague whom we had our masters together in the UK was inerviewed in the UK by Exxon-Mobil and though she went to Nigeia last September, however she just told me yesterday that she's been offered the job and would be paid 10Million Naira per annum.

How true is this information? More so, when she was having the interview in the UK, she said she'll be paid 12Million Naira per annum (according to her) but she's now said 10Million Naira. Do they really pay that much in Nigeria (I mean the oil companies?)

She's only 26 by the way. And she's not working as an engineer but as an accountant.

Anyone with an insight?

Thanks a lot chief. That's a very nice site and I shall be visiting mor often. It's very informative and I guess I could seek some knowledge that could be financially helpful as well.

Please as funny as this is, let’s see the other side. Isn’t this a slap on the face especially the ones that think we are getting there and the ones that think there’s hope in the air? This is absolutely irritating in a country from whom you expect more. Justice is a sham, the authorities who are meant to be carrying out their duties are busy chasing and accusing animals as they cannot testify against nor for themselves.

In fact, what’s the way forward. I concur with @thetruth90’s question,

LOL, 90% of the stuff he posted on is from the Nigerian section of a global forum. Forum is OK, although it could use more help from people actually in Nigeria in terms of pictures of progress, etc. I've know about the 60 storey hilton hotel planed for port harcourt since last year but did not know how he came up with the model (if that is actually the real model smiley). Oh please. Asking Hausas to leave our coffers alone is not equivalent to tribalism or do you suggest I pamper them while they steal us into penury?

I guess my fears have just been confirmed. You're definitely a closet tribalist. When it comes to looting, the award does not discriminate. From Yorubas to Hausas to Igbos, I'm not even sure who has fared better or worse.

We don't have to be pointing fingers because Nigerias leaders and Nigerians as a whole are responsible for the safety and security of its citizens. As well as contributing equally and not stealing from the coffers.
Oh well, you might see it differently but I doubt anyone has fared better be it North, East, South, South-East, South-South,East-East, North-North - whatever.

No man is infallible but don't take advantage of the infallible nature of man to accuse obasanjo for what he didn't do. Most of the accusations leveled against him here are false and born out of shear hatred for the man and some element of tribalism therein.
But reading back from most of your quotes, you are as tribalist as anyone else out there in fact sometimes you go way over the board and you are the first to shoot before being attacked. Is that one of the characteristics inherited from your hero - Obasanjo?
