Family / Women Making Marriage Proposals To Men by Bosshugo: 10:50pm On Jan 15, 2018 |
Call me stereotypical, but I used to think it is in the place of the man propose and the lady to accept/decline. Very recently, all in the name of "shooting your shot", women have started making the proposals and the men have started to accept/decline. My question 1. If the woman proposes and the man accepts, does this mean that the woman will pay the bride price (in this case, groom price)? Also continue with other responsibilities eg paying house rent, fees, etc and the man supports the home? 2. If the man declines the proposal, does the woman look for another man to propose to (as a man will do if he is rejected by a lady)? |

Crime / Fraudulent Calls by Bosshugo: 10:55am On Jan 21, 2016 |
It started about 4 years ago. My phone rings and I see an unsaved number. The caller on the other end resorts to a familiarity tone, so I think it's a friendly person. He calls my name, middle-name and surname. He even quotes my address. The chat below is generally the conversation path: (phone rings and I answer) Bosshugo: Hello SpamCaller: Hello, is this BossHugo(Bosshugo is not my real name) Bosshugo: Yes, who is this please? SpamCaller: O boi!!! How far na? Long time no see. How u dey? Bosshugo: Fine, please who is this? SpamCaller: Bosshugo, so you don't know who I am again. I am so disappointed in you. So, u forgot all about me, abi? Bosshugo: So sorry, I lost my earlier phone. Please tell me who u are. SpamCaller: My name is Jones Philips. We used to work together at Chevron. I am no longer with Chevron. I now work with Shell. Bosshugofeeling confused, 'cos I have never worked with any oil company but plays along) O!!! How far na. Long time. U remembered me today. SpamCaller: No mind me jare!!! I actually called u for an important business opportunity. Please call me back now. Before I say anything, the spam caller hangs up. Very recently, a a number kept on disturbing me. It seemed like an international number so the scammer felt I could be swayed. For security purposes, I am going to post the number here. +18088956707. I think these scammers are able to get my exact details due to my job applications. Hence, I implore u all to help in fishing out these fraudsters and be more security conscious. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Foreign Jobs by Bosshugo: 9:08am On Nov 24, 2015 |
I registered on a foreign job portal (Wisdom Jobs Gulf) about 2months ago, hoping for international job offers in the Middle East and Arabian countries. My phone rang today and I saw that it was an international number. I thought it was a scam but I nontheless picked the call. The caller identified himself as calling from Wisdom Jobs. I listened with rapt attention as I really fought with the heavily Indian accent. In summary, he promised to forward my profile/cv to a client (I think in Kuwait ). This prospective client is willing to pay for my flight ticket and visa application. In addition, the job comes with free accommodation and feeding. In addition to $2000 salary. All these and more for an activation fee of $150. He even sent an email to confirm the phone conversation. That was where I paused (hollup in Frank Ordega's voice). Even in Naija, I don't pay for job offers. I feel this is GLND international. Does anyone know anything about Wisdom Jobs Gulf or secured any international offers with them. |

Nairaland / General / Nairaland Stories by Bosshugo: 7:49pm On Dec 15, 2014 |
I have observed a lot of copyright on Nairaland stories. Ranging from Lindaikeji..com to lailasblog.com,most of the stories are copied. Even though I have read the disclaimer, I think it makes Nairaland a very poor forum for information. Information must be original and correct for it to be valued by the public. Just me thinking aloud though. |
Nairaland / General / Hypocrisy Of The Nigerian Military by Bosshugo: 1:26pm On Jul 04, 2014 |
Soldiers are currently causing mayhem at Obanikoro/Palmgroove area in Lagos. I hear that they are tearing doan BRT buses because a soldier was hit by one. They are motivated to harm innocent people when Chibok girls need them to fight Boko Haram. |
