Avangard: Hello seniors in the house, I noticed that NSW has put a stop to invitation for 2018-2019 financial year. What does it portend for ITA hopefuls like me. Has this been the norm for prior financial year? When can we expect them to release the occupation list for the new financial year. Wow!!! |

Yes, it includes the 5 points from the States. I have submitted the applications to them in October. Do I stand a chance of being invited? bellong:
Does that 70 include the 5 points from state?
Have you submitted application to them? You need to apply directly to the states too. |

Is there a clause in the form that once account statement is printed, funds should not be withdrawn therefrom until the applicant makes and returns from the trip? If there isn't (which is positive as there isn't) then, NO CRIME and or FRAUD is committed. 1 Like |

Who says the applicant cannot raise N1.4m from some place else before the scheduled trip? Its not wise to make a mountain out of a pea sized issue. After all the applicant won't fly free to the UK or sleep on the roadside or eat grass? Money taken out can always be put back. Its no crime. Its not fraudulent. Get money for the trip and jet out. justwise:
I'm a nairaland person.
So based on your own analysis taking away 1.4m out of 1.5 leaving you with 100k is not a crime even when you have told the ECO that you budgeted 1.5m for the trip? So 100k is enough to travel to the UK?
Obviously you don't know what fraudulent or misrepresentation means going by your post.
If you lied to somebody or committed crime and was not caught at that time that does not mean that what you did is right.
The only reason you withdraw the money after submitting the application is because if you do that before submitting then chances are that you will be refused for not meeting the financial requirement.
I really wonder why this is difficult for some of you here to understand. 1 Like |

And you think its your released transcript alone that influenced your refusal? When your response does not correlate with the information on your DS160, how will you ever get a white paper? When you answer differently from what's on your form or are nervous or any such thing, a refusal is a sure bet. 12345DKO:

The way some of us respond to these simple questions, it seems we love the famous blue paper. 12345DKO: My own case was like this
Me - Good morning V. O - Good morning
V. O - How many children do you have? Me - None
V. O - Have you travelled before? Me - No
V. O - What are you going to in the United States? Me - I answered
V. O - Sorry you are not eligible. She then gave me my passport and a light green paper that has some content written on it. The summary of what was written in the paper is, I do not have strong ties which will make me return back to Nigeria after my visit.
Me - Thank you V. O - You're welcome
End of interview.
A particular lady was just asked one question and the VO refused her visa.
Lady - Good morning V. O - Good morning
V. O - what are going to do in the United States? Lady - Going for pleasure
V. O - sorry you are not eligible 2 Likes |

Congratulations on your arrival, Jayooh. Send us photographs let's be admiring from here o. jayooh: Hello house,
Quick update:
So I left naija 15th Nov., the winches at airport didn't have power over me but for overweight. Had to return some books and garri.
Arrived Oz Brisbane 17th Nov. 6a.m., passing through Aussie immigration was smooth. Got to baggage pick up, Lo n behold my bags were no where to be found. Lodged my complaints at the Emirates counter, they couldn't still track the current location of the bags. Filled a form and they promised they will locate and update me within 24hrs.
Yellow custom cards I prefilled for declaration were marked with missing bags symbol (dropped the key to the padlocks with Emirates staff), so I passed customs with my hand luggage only.
Sunday evening while asleep, my bags arrived. I think only the Herb (agbo) was taken out by customs. But to my surprise, a total luggage that I had to arrange and rearrange to come to a combined 46-48kg in lagos was weighed as a combined 43kg at Oz airport. My thought:
The scale at lagos airport has been altered to favour the carrier/Sahcol (thieves) or something as been removed from my bags (which I can't think of at the moment). I will go with the former.
My landing brouhaha aside.
Weather has been fine, haven't been able to open bank accounts and ATO for now cause I'm yet to land in my state of Sponsorship " Tasmania". Heading to Tasmania next week, been applying to jobs from here, reject mails coming like breeze; no local experience as reason.
All in all, this country is sane and beautiful. Mwah 2 Likes |

Ask your Uber group. jayooh:
You really want to know? 300-400k Most of the online agents combine trips from multiple airlines which results in exact same thing. So I must be sure to avoid paying for someone else's mistake. How do they synergies the transfer of luggage between 2 diff airline operators? If you don't have any meaningful contributions then look elsewhere and don't be a killjoy.
One ticket even highlighted it that passenger must collect and check in again at certain stops. So why won't I wonder?

The same question you asked on the Australian thread. Why do some Nigerians love to put themselves in difficult situations? How much are you trying to save that you want to be in a situation of "where is your visa? " or that you can't find your luggage. Na wa o. jayooh: My UAE people, please what is the procedure for using UAE as a connecting hub for flight to other countries? For instance, I need to fly from Nigeria to Hong Kong or Indonesia, then I intend on booking 2 different flights, one direct flight from lagos-dubai then second from dubai to Indonesia. Note: I will only be in dubai for hours before the time of the next flight. I realise I will have to collect my luggage an check in again at dubai terminal, but I need to know the consequences or conveniences to be sacrificed.
