So this was used in place of a TOEFL OR IETLS. Please do you have any idea of such could be used to verify English language proficiency as well?

Nothing is happening yet. BBM group didn't kill anything. They haven't contacted anybody.
Thier process take forever & rumour has it that the recruitment process is for next year 2017. Do probably late this year/early next year, calls would be let out.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Fortune Careers Limited. by Brigz: 9:04am On Sep 26, 2016
I also received thier message. I think they're fraudsters. Graduates should be very careful. These days they come about people details and set traps for kidnapping candidates they think come from affordable homes. God help us all

Actually most ppl on the BBM group still comes here to update naira land because message has been passed to everyone to update any new info they get there, in here as well.
But so far there has been nothing new! Otherwise, some group members would have come back to assist those who don't have BBM or those who hate the Group.
If there's anything new, I would definitely come back to share and help everyone too.

So for now, we should get back to our lives until they start booking Interview dates. I heard thier recruitment process takes ages because thier so slow about it. So till theyr ready to start, Fingers crossed.

Mintek:

I have a little difficulty getting your point here.
All I did was post information I thought could be of help to test takers.

Having gone through the process last year, I know what the entire GSK recruitment process entails.

The next phase for successful applicants is Phone Interview but unfortunately not everyone who got a "Success Message" after the online assessment will be phoned.

Passing the online test ONLY guarantees Application Review, but not progression to the next phase.

Everything from the online application to the assessment phase is automated, except probably the essay review part. You've been dealing with computers and computer programs all the while grin.

This means that "human intervention" (application review by the HR department) will start after all the assessments have been completed. That's why you were told

It is during this review that the HR people skim through online applications, CVs, and other supporting documents to determine if candidates who took the assessment actually satisfy all the eligibility criteria...since the system cannot tell if an applicant lies.

For example, it's possible that not all candidates who ticked "yes" during application submission actually hold degress in medical or business-related fields, and with a 2:1 as required.

Also, you'd observe that the test was administered by a third-party firm- IBM. Now it's possible that GSK will not embrace the general pass score for the assessment as recommended by IBM. Some organizations prefer to have the results first before setting a threshold for pass.

For example, after completing some computer-based assessments, portions of the message you get may show things as: "only about 50% of the group got a higher score than you..." That's another way of saying you performed averagely in the assessment, with about half the group scoring higher points.

So, determining the pass score to use in the final selection most often constitutes part of the promised application review.

Concisely, all candidates who pass the online assessment will DEFINITELY have their applications reviewed by real humans this time, and not the system, grin and progression to the next phase will most likely be determined by a candidate's score, measured against the set pass score and of course whether the candidate satisfies all the eligibility criteria for the program.

No pun intended, but (as you'll see shortly) the bitter truth is that after the promised application review by the HR team, only a few among those who got the "Success Message" will scale the hurdle and make it to the phone interview phase.

Mehn guy u make sense.
Ride on jor!

I agree with your points

Hello fellas,

Wow! What's all these arguments for?
It's a simple suggestion, no be quarreL na.. ssshu.
.
Who says that nairaland is no longer relevant?
If it wasn't would I be here....

Nairalands purpose isn't and can not be defeated.
The fact is that they have started calling pepole for phone interviews.

So we both have to think of a faster means of communicating, while we still drop informations for others who don't want to be part of the group here. And besides, this is just temporal till we're successful or not successful then everything would be dissolved.

And for the guy that's talking about BBM phone. .. these days BBM app is downloadable by most phone types.
I didn't suggest whatsapp because not everyone would want to give thier personal numbers to strangers.

On BBM grp u can pull out of the group, whenever u feel and not be required to add people into ur personal contact or have strangers calling u up for a bother.

To conclude this, this is just for whoever is interested. If it's only 10 ppl on the group that's more than okay.. to instantly share, educate each other faster.

Saw same done by the NIGERIAN BREWERIES TRAINEE CANDIDATES, they were sharing area of interest for thier assessment day after passing the test.

I wish us all the best! And may we all be SUCCESSFUL IN JESUS NAME.

SHOULD WE OPEN A BBM GROUP FOR THOSE INTERESTED?

Hi Guys

I also passed the test for both consumers and pharmaceutical funny enough. They encouraged more than one application for thier Job offers, so that's good.

I recommend that to get a better and faster response on our enquiries, we could easily create a BBM GROUP, TAGGED GSK GROUP.
Anyone interested could drop thier pin to be added.

That's what my friends did for the Nigerian breweries test. So they were all in the know and prepared for their interviews together.

Upto everyone who's interested.
That's my suggestion.

BREWING TRAINEE 2016?? IS THERE ANY UPDATE YET

Hello, I wrote the nigerian breweries (brewing trainee) test. And all those that I know to have written the test have received replies that they were unsuccessful but I wasn't sent that mail. Glory be to God

So is there anyone such a similar situation? Should I take it that I'am successful ? And how long does it take for people who passed to be contacted for the next stage. We wrote the test on the 27th of July and today is 19th of August's 2016 now. It's also been 2weeks since other ppl received thier unsuccessful replies.

Please I need your feedback.
Thanks
