Career / Re: Your Thoughts On Nigerian Banks Salaries 2021 by BrinaLanbros: 3:49pm On Aug 17, 2021 |
What are you talking about? Maybe, you became an ex-staff in 2015 or beyond. Everything the poster wrote is true and what is currently obtainable. Both full time and non-full time employees get and enjoy the March bonus. As stated, it's every March, precisely on the 20th. Stanbic is one bank that promotes its staff regularly. Career acceleration is very high there and they believe so much in their women. Women hold top positions there. Culture is superb, and there is respect. At least, a manager in Stanbic can never use uncouth words on her/his colleagues (no matter your level) even at MPR. We hear of nasty acts during MPRs in other banks but it can never be Stanbic. Whatever profit they make, just know that it would have a positive impact on staff welfare not the type that would declare hundreds of billions in PAT but have miserable pay for their employees and they expect you to wear the best of the best suits to work and break you down with unachievable targets with no salary increases every year, promotion is even a prayer point for them (Zenith catch your sub abeg). Stanbic is a bank where your Salary is increased every year to cater for inflation. Honestly, as a young graduate, starting your banking career in banks like Stanbic IBTC, Standard Chartered and CitiBank would be the best career decision you would ever make. In 5 years time, you see yourself well risen to at least, an Assistant Manager. These banks also, give you opportunity to be seconded to their businesses in other countries and it's a global experience. Honestly, if you start your career in Stanbic, you would not want to work for any Nigerian bank at all. Canada is their competition not other banks. Most that leave (exclude those whose aim is to jump from bank to bank. They jump into Stanbic, get a level and jump out), move to Canada, UK, USA, oil companies, FinTechs, etc. To confirm, their entry level as a graduate trainee is Assistant Banking Officer ABO and the pay is N350,000 plus other pecks like bonuses, life insurance, very high pension remittance, trainings (home and abroad), trustee services paid for by the company, etc. Guess what? You don't need to know anyone to work there. Just pass their shl test or whatever test they give you, you have 80% chance of being employed. Just wow them at the interview and the position is yours. oludele05: 21 Likes 2 Shares |
Celebrities / Re: Ozioma Onuzulike: Naira Marley, The Deadly Virus & His Marlians Cult by BrinaLanbros: 9:44am On Jan 27, 2020 |
Dear Prof. Ozioma Onuzuike, I am truly proud of you. Your write-up depicts your research skills and intense research background. While reading your post, I was looking out for grammatical errors which is a cankerworm in today's writings especially, amongst the youths. To say that I am impressed is an understatement. I read your post as well as the comments that follow from our today's youths. The devil has a way of engraving its marks on our youths to descend so low as to disrespect intelligent posts like yours and even find ways to defend their wrongdoings. Please be informed that the comments only show the statistics of 1% or less number of people that read the post. Most (like me) have been impacted with the message and have taken it to the bank. Most intellectuals do not comment on public fora like this to avoid being called names but the message from your post is being assimilated by them. I see some people calling you Marlian because you know Naira Marley's lyrics more than their average Marlian. Let me ask, "do they expect you to put up this post from an uninformed point of view?", "do they understand what it means to research a topic before developing it?". These are youths that do not know the difference between "am" and "I'm"; meanwhile, they hide behind keyboards to bastardize brilliant posts like this. No wonder our standard of education keeps decreasing, no just because of sub-standard teachers but the inability of our children and youths to avail themselves with the opportunities inherent in education and soar high. Rather, they hope for cheap and quick money. Prof. Ozioma, thank you for enlightening us. I; for one, am not a fan of Naira Marley and his likes but seem to only nod my head at the beatings of their music without bothering myself with the lyrics. Thank you for baring our minds on the dangers these songs pose to our children and youths at the micro level and to the society at the macro level. Thank you once again. Warm regards, Edith. 7 Likes |

Family / Re: How Do I Save For The Future So As Not To Learn The Hard Way? by BrinaLanbros: 12:21pm On Oct 21, 2019 |
To help you save for the future. Take two passport photographs and a valid means of ID (that has your current address on it - optional though) and proceed to any branch of Stanbic IBTC Bank. Tell them you want to invest in Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund and they will give you a form to fill. Fill it in details and make sure your email address is well captured (that will be your major means of communication with them). They will take the form and other documents (passport and valid ID) and proceed to generate an E-account number for you. It will be communicated to you via mail. Transfer to the bank account details they advised you (check your form, it's there, I think page 3 or 4) using your E-account number as your narration (no addition no subtraction). If your transfer was done before noon, you will receive value in your mutual fund's account that day, otherwise, the next day. Your login details will be sent to you via mail. Lookout for the mail and proceed to change the login password/passcode to your preferred one. Anytime you have any spare money, follow the same transfer process and top up your investment (invest more) by transferring the money to that same Stanbic IBTC money market fund account details on the form (save it as a contact to make it handy to you) using your E-account number only as your narration. Always sit back and watch your investment grow. Remember to come back and thank me later 14 Likes 4 Shares |

adewest1999: I think you are talking from the point of ignorance. They are the ones (Timi Dakolo and wife) who filed the case in court. Your stupid pastor is only tampering with Justice. Sending the CAN members to his church and slashing them with millions is not enough for him, he wants to use Police. Unfortunately, this is a high profile case that cannot be ignored. Biodun, follow due process and see you in Jail. |
Romance / Re: What Is It About Catholic Church.. by BrinaLanbros: 12:48am On Jul 15, 2019 |
If you are groomed from birth as a Catholic, it will be difficult to leave the faith. The church is very encompassing and has activities for every stage of your life. If you visit other churches, you will find out it's only a society activity from the Catholic Church they emulated. The church is full and complete with all the Sacraments and teachings available to you. I know some peeps will come here and start lamenting about the bad eggs there, we are aware and the Pope is taking care of that and will not spare anyone after investigations. My dear, I will advise you join her in the Catholic faith and raise your children there (even non-catholics populate the Cathoilc schools a lot. They know what they see there) but if that will be a problem as I sense, pls kill it. 21 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: No Cancellation Of Any Election Results – Yakubu by BrinaLanbros: 5:11pm On Feb 24, 2019 |
Chevronstaff: Exactly. This is my take. If Bubu is sent packing to Daura, that's enough signal to any politician (including Atiku) who does not perform in his/her first tenure to know that the game can be over. No one has monopoly of second tenure. 4 Likes 1 Share |
