There's a proverb that "If a dead past leader is being praised and missed while the current one is still very much alive, it means the living one is worst than being dead". Okay, maybe the economic realities of his time were not as "difficult" as of today; but at least his leadership had positive impact on the people even in the grassroot! But what is the case today, things go up and never come down! Policies are misinterpreted, portfolios are duplicated, shared to appease political idols, debts are piling up (We're now even begging for debts to be wiped off! IMF is not Jesus); taxes are on the rise (Howfar 7.5% VAT?). |
