@bililu, if u listen carefully u'll hear not reading BS on nairaland! U might be from Edo State but u clearly don't live there, else u wu have seen the development and transformation in the state since u left for Ajah in Lagos. I'm from Edo State and also live and work in Benin. I've witnessed the "change" in the city 1st hand and testify that Obaseki will continue that growth. Anyone who actually lives in Benin would be a lair if they deny the progress made so far from the Ize-Iyamu/Lucky Igbenedion era! GOD SHOULD STRIKE ME NOW if I'm lying. That's how passionate I am about the next chapter of the development in Edo State. Do you or anyone else have the same conviction about what I've just said? Thought so!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |

philips70: This is the most accurate statement about Edo State! fACT is, prior to Oshiomhole, the only real development in Edo State was done by Brigadier General Samuel Ogbemudia (Military Administrator of Mid-West State from 26 October 1967 – July 1975) well before 70% of respondents on NL were born. I'm from Edo State & visit very often so I've witnessed the transformation. Our Edo youth are proud, lazy or uneducated to seek employment but would rather a system of corruption & handouts. Obaseki was key to the development plan of our beloved Lagos State, I like the fact that he's not a "professional politician" so I will proudly support GODWIN OBASEKI to replicate Lagos master plan and improve on Oshiomhole’s efforts!!! Thanks to @Dollz for bringing up this issue and kudos to @kayjasper for the obvious elephant in the room with respect to all the candid dealers! The main issue is NL auto section isn't sure if it wants to be a "talk-shop or shop-shop" because people will always comment if there's an avenue unlike on the dreaded OLX or Autotrader. Seun & his merry IT gurus can resolve unnecessary "chit-chat & bump" by redesigning the auto section akin to Autotrader so dealers must post in same car/vehicle groups (with pics, price, etc) and buyers view & call for more info, no long story! It's becoming tedious as one has to "scroll & scroll & scroll" till page 27 or 52 just to find what they want without price & pics to the angst of @kayjasper et al! Although this may halve the popularity of some dealers it will improve the quality of posts as if u don't include photos, price, contact, location, etc ur post won't get displayed & if u don't want to "bump" everyday ur post can be on the first pages @a small fee to Seun ofcos and i get my consultancy fee! Most experienced car dealer would says; b4 u decide to buy/use a car in Nigeria & putting ur need/desire to be unique aside, "observe" what others are currently driving on the roads. The more cars of similar make/model u see, the more practical it is to own/maintain. We may loathe this but fact is Toyota (Lexus) are the most practical cars to own in Nigeria. At least with a Lexus u get less bland & more luxury. However, buying a ride is so emotive that practicality sometimes seems redundant! I'd suggest a test drive of both cars to get a feel then decide accordingly... 1 Like |

Had to look up Honda MRV (that's a 2nd generation Honda Pilot). I prefer the Lexus too which is basically a luxury Toyota therefore it's reliable, durable, available spare parts and less tricky to maintain than a Honda which seems rather delicate to handle. Also, the Lexus would have a better resale value (if that's important to you guys) but i would stay clear of hybrids because of expensive repair & questionable tech know-how. Hope my 2 cents helps ur decision. 2 Likes |

@justbright et al, besides the unscrupulous dealers, it's a simple case of less demand from buyers due to the current economic uncertainties and suppliers unable to procure dollars/forex at a good rate to make a profit. Therefore, we have a "stalematic economic quagmire" on the auto section thus the recycling of advertised cars. We hope & pray things improve soon but for less boredom, the joke & romance sections are still available....! 2 Likes |

LOL! He did ask "which SUV is best for off-road/rough terrain"? So, i responded as asked that in my opinion, the best SUV for off-road/rough terrain is a G-wagon or Range Rover Autobiography. BtW, even if he currently drives a Mazda Tribute, he's just built his own house which ain't no child's play and he may want to launch the crib with a G-wagon or Range. The car a man drives doesn't necessarily mean he ain't got money, he may just not be interested in flashy cars. Anyway, someone else may want to know a money no object best SUV for all terrain. All said in good spirit! Toyota was my choice eventually after the analysis... 1 Like |

The ultimate off roader/4x4 is the Land Rover. It may not have all the luxury mod-cons in a Benz or Lexus but it would never get stuck in mud, puddle or crater. If cost is no bother, go for a G-wagon or Range Rover Autobiography (pls see link below). However, the wise choice, as said, would be Toyota (2004 above) 4Runner, Prado, Land Cruiser or Lexus equivalent (reason:- auxiliary gear, tech know-how, available parts, resale value, comfort, reliability, durability, etc). In the long term, mobilize your street or community to fix the roads which would invariably increase the property values & reduce your regular maintenance cost on tyres, suspension, shocks, etc. You guys can even get a road engineer from LASG to assist! Cheers! http://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/land-rover/range-rover https://www.nairaland.com/1358052/jeep-vs-suv-whats-difference |

deadZONE: @deadZONE, in your quest to berate APC and/or the Comradé Governor, do you realise souls have been lost needlessly. Kindly spare a thought for them and a prayer for yourself never to experience such a misfortune won't go amiss too. I'll restrain myself from saying shame on you for such an extraneous comment albeit your freedom to make it.... BtW, the perpetrator is Igbira, Kogi State! |

Garvey1: If we were in the real world not cyberspace, I would have compelled you to prove this allegation. I've been on NL since 2010 and have people who can verify me and my personal reputation! You have absolutely no idea who you're dealing with BUT be rest assured ALL seemingly dubious schemes like the one you've perpetrated on NL will be exposed! |

LOL@mental midget! This reeks of ur typical "pyramid scheme" RULE of THUMB: if it seems to good to be true, it usually ain't true! Especially when you're solicited to contact ANYONE via email! N/B - fact: NO-ONE will be so willing to help you get rich! dubious schemes on NL must be exposed! Be Wise! If you have $350k, go start a small business and/or contact the US trade desk @the US Embassy! Information is fREE! 1 Like |

@web3; It's gone past a week since YOU stated on 07/06/15 @5:40am and i quote: "....i will start posting pictures of vehicles i've purchased for clients including their phone numbers so you can verify the authenticity of my services" It would be rather transparent & apt if you also put your phone number on this advert so we can authenticate your claims of service!! |

How anyone in Edo State can still crave for the mediocre, incompetent & inept times of Lucky Igbenedion/PDP is beyond me! Oshiomhole is not perfect, somewhat arrogant & brash BUT more progressive than those ineffectual PDP/Lucky/Anenih years! Come 2016, if Edo State wants to return to the Oba Ogiso days of ancient times they can vote PDP using Anenih's corpse, goodluck to them, for me I'm just glad "APC/Oshiomhole has finally liberated Edo State from over 12yrs a slave of PDP/Anenih et al" for now. |
