Travel / Re: Nigerian Trainee Pilot Causes Flight Accident In Virginia, Kills Instructor by buemene(m): 10:31pm On Oct 09, 2022
Jakumo:
All trainer aircraft are equipped with dual controls in which the two front seat occupants each have a flight yoke and rudder pedals they can operate alternatively to control the plane's attitude.

The only way this trainee pilot could have pulled too far back on the flight yoke and lifted the aircraft nose too high would be if the young man panicked and OVERPOWERED the corrective nose-down, yoke-forward control inputs that his female instructor was struggling to apply in order to avoid a stall. If two pilots in the same cockpit are applying OPPOSITE pressure on the flight controls, the STRONGER pilot will likely overcome the weaker pilot and gain full control of the plane, for better or worse.

In this case, the male trainee was stronger than his instructor and was thus able to hold the nose too high for long enough to stall the plane beyond any hope of recovery, making a crash a tragic certainty.

Tell us you are a pilot without telling us you are a pilot.

Good analysis.

While your permutation may be right, one thing you didn't account for in this voter strength is the voting pattern.

The North vote along ethnic and tribal lines not minding if the country is progressing or not.

The West does the same but not at the same level as the north.

The South East may not give such numbers when actual voting happens.

One of the greatest satisfaction in life is having a spiritually balanced personality. When you have a deeper conviction about your beliefs and can look to the SCRIPTURE with backing instead of sensationalism, there is a sense of fulfillment and stability that carries you above the day-to-day worries of this life. Playing a major role in achieving this, is the foundation of your beliefs and the organisation you look up to and associate with.

The fact is many highly respected religious authority figures today are not exempted from feeding on the gullibility of their sheep and leaving them thoroughly starved of the much-needed spiritual nourishment.

If for any reason you seem unsatisfied, disturbed, or even lost with your current state of spirituality, then it is time to examine the foundation critically to be certain of your standing.

In light of recent events, you are wise to consider this route without feeling guilty. It may be your liberation.

Peace!

Religion / The Bible’s Viewpoint : Do The Stars Affect Your Life? by buemene(m): 11:17am On Sep 27, 2020
Do the stars really affect your life? Can they help you learn about your future, or about yourself? What does the Bible say?

Can the Stars Influence Our Future?

Some people believe that we cannot escape our destiny. The future has already been written, they say, and the stars can reveal it. But the Bible indicates otherwise. It tells us that God gives people a choice, which implies that they have a certain degree of control over what happens to them. For example, he told the Israelites: “I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring.”—Deuteronomy 30:19.

With those words, Jehovah God made it clear to his people that they had a large degree of control over their future. If they obeyed his commands, they would experience blessings. If they disobeyed, they would bring hardship upon themselves.

Consider: If the future of each Israelite had already been written in the stars, would it make sense for God to urge them to choose life? Would it even be fair for God to hold them accountable for actions over which they had no control?

The lesson from the Bible is clear: Our life course depends on the choices we make—not on the stars.—Galatians 6:7.

Can the Stars Influence Our Personality?

Most astrologers downplay the idea of predestination. “We control our own destiny,” claims one, but he adds: “On the other hand, the time of our birth has an influence on the structure of our personality.” Many people believe similarly. They feel that since the stars and planets exert a physical influence on our earth, why would they not also have a metaphysical effect? What does the Bible indicate?

The Bible is not a scientific textbook, spelling out every detail about the human body and the universe. However, it does explain the purpose for which Jehovah created the heavenly bodies. Genesis 1:14, 15 states: “God said, ‘I command lights to appear in the sky and to separate day from night and to show the time for seasons . . . I command them to shine on the earth.’”—Contemporary English Version.

Consider: If God had designed the stars to influence our personality, would he not have told us so?

What can we conclude? That the stars are part of God’s creative work but do not influence our personality.

A Better Approach

If we desire to learn about our future or understand ourselves, that is commendable. But there is a better place to look than to the stars.

The Bible describes Jehovah God as “the One telling from the beginning the finale.” (Isaiah 46:10) He has a purpose, which he will bring to success. (Isaiah 55:10, 11) We can learn about God’s purpose by reading the Bible. This ancient sacred book also explains why we suffer and how God will bring an end to the very conditions that plague mankind. *—2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1-4.

When it comes to learning about and improving ourselves, the Bible is the best place to look for guidance. Why? Because reading it helps us to take an honest look at ourselves. For example, the Bible states that Jehovah God is “merciful,” “slow to anger,” and “ready to forgive.” (Exodus 34:6; Psalm 86:5) But are we like that? The Bible can expose our erroneous thinking and help us see where we need to improve.

Therefore, we do not need to look to the stars to learn about our future or about ourselves. A better approach is to look to the Bible, which is “inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.”—2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

HAVE YOU WONDERED?

Why did God create the heavenly bodies?—Genesis 1:14 15.
How can you take a more objective view of your personality?—Hebrews 4:12.
How can you know for sure what the future holds?—Isaiah 46:10.
Religion / What Does The Bible Say About Free Will? Is God In Control? by buemene(m): 10:51am On Sep 27, 2020
The Bible’s answer

God dignifies us with free will, the power to make decisions of our own rather than having God or fate predetermine what we do. Consider what the Bible teaches.

God created humans in his image. (Genesis 1:26) Unlike animals, which act mainly on instinct, we resemble our Creator in our capacity to display such qualities as love and justice. And like our Creator, we have free will.

To a great extent, we can determine our future. The Bible encourages us to “choose life . . . by listening to [God’s] voice,” that is, by choosing to obey his commands. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 20) This offer would be meaningless, even cruel, if we lacked free will. Instead of forcing us to do what he says, God warmly appeals to us: “O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river.”—Isaiah 48:18.

Our success or failure is not determined by fate. If we want to succeed at an endeavor, we must work hard. “All that your hand finds to do,” says the Bible, “do with your very power.”(Ecclesiastes 9:10) It also says: “The plans of the diligent one surely make for advantage.”—Proverbs 21:5.

Free will is a precious gift from God, for it lets us love him with our “whole heart”—because we want to.—Matthew 22:37.

Doesn’t God control all things?

The Bible does teach that God is Almighty, that his power is not limited by anyone other than himself. (Job 37:23; Isaiah 40:26) However, he does not use his power to control everything. For example, the Bible says that God was “exercising self-control” toward ancient Babylon, an enemy of his people. (Isaiah 42:14) Similarly, for now, he chooses to tolerate those who misuse their free will to harm others. But God will not do so indefinitely.—Psalm 37:10, 11.

The origin of the pandemic is Wuhan, China.

The lab was commissioned to study highly virulent pathogens like Ebola, SARS, Lassa Fever, etc.

The lab's security is not limited to keeping non authorized personnel out but also preventing accidentally leaks from earthquakes and flooding. The French designed and built this lab and made accommodation for earthquakes even though the lab site is not cited in an earthquake zone.

Patient zero happens to be a scientists working at the lab. The Chinese govt first claimed she got infected after visiting the wild life market in Wuhan that deals in exotic animals. This was latter debunked.

The virus was actually stolen by the Chinese from a similar Bio-Security Lab-4 in Canada.

It is believed the Canadians were the ones that developed the virus.

The virus was bio-engineered as weapon and the crazy chinks accidentally leaked it on their own people.

I read all u wrote, I’d have written exactly the same thing some 5 years ago, how old are u? Or better still, how experienced are u? U must have cringed at the thought of my opinion since it was a clear deviation from the general comments here, see there was a thread like this on nairaland years ago when my situation happened and a particular guy made a comment like mine, I sent him a pm and my testimony isn’t complete without him. We all can’t sleep and face the same way. I made my decision and it sure worked out for me. Forgiveness is not for the weak, it’s or the strong. I wud have relayed the experience better to u for more clarity but it might be pointless since u only read to criticize. U said she shed a few tears? It was more than that, it’s not abt tears alone, u have to see thru someone to decipher if they are truly repentant. Let him without sin cast d freaking first stone. We built something so perfect together and it was worth saving, mistakes are a part of life so u ave to deal with it. Lastly, I reiterate that looking back, I’m assured and convinced that I took the best decision. Hopefully u are mature enough to realize this. Just so u know, most men will never come out openly to confirm that they have been cheated on but it sure happens a lot. For me, it’s now a painless scar, with all u said, I don’t even feel an iota of pain, it’s all gone bro. Hopefully u mature enough to realize these points someday. Peace

I have sent you a pm. Kindly reach out as your experience is something I feel I can learn from or adopt at this present moment in my life. (or chat me on zero eight zero, six one five two, one four six six)

I don't know the age or experience of most dudes on this platform, what I do know however is that most of the popular comments here receiving dozens of likes wreaks of lack of experience. I can tell from all indications that if these advices were coming from married men/women whose partners have cheated on and they forgave, it will be very different.

Bro, let me first inform you that the scheme is made to actually help employers in that region to be able to easily apply Jobs for their staffs. The reality is that the streams will therefore suit applicants like outlanders with valid job offers, foreign Canadian students on open work permits, or holiday work permits or maybe even those present as visitors in Canada whose services might be needed by certain employers.

And the fact that an LMIA isn't needed other than Job offer makes it advantageous to both the employer and the potential employee.

Lastly, from what I read the employees will have to meet certain requirements to be able to partake in this scheme.

In summary, getting the job offer in those provinces is the KOKO!!

Application has begun yet some of these concerns doesn't seem to have been addressed properly. Like 40Man rightly raised above.

Actually performing the real application I think will reveal most of the 'not so clear' requirements to qualify for the scheme.

hi see mail below from the 4 provvinces. they all sent me sonething like this:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project for Employers for Newfoundland and Labrador.

Unfortunately we are unable to match potential international workers with local employers who are successful in receiving a designation. Under this Pilot Project, the Employers will be responsible for recruiting international workers for their businesses. We will however, have discussions with employers to determine if they are interested in reaching out to international workers who have expressed an interest in the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. If there is an interest , communications on this process will be issued at a later date.

During the interim, you can promote yourself to local employers by applying for employment at the following job bank site for the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/job_search_results.do?pcd=NL&wid=pv&sort=D
More specifically Health related jobs: http://www.health.gov.nl.ca/health/career/recruitandretention.html

You can also find additional information about the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project for Employers on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/atlantic/eligibility.asp

We wish you much success in your job search for employment within Newfoundland and Labrador.

Office of immigration and Multiculturalism

Bold step you've taken here by writing to them. My strategy however was to connect with professionals and potential employers on Facebook and Linkedin and build the relationship from there.

I feel personal connections built from this platform can quickly translate to a job offer with a good background in work experience and education.

Nice writeup here. In the light of ur narrative up there, is it advisable for someone that has less than 400 points to wait until he his able to get 400 or more points before registering in the EE pool?

I am assuming you got your less than 400 points through CIC self assessment tool. Well, note that your express entry profile's lifespan/validity is one year. if you did not get an ITA within this period, your profile will be deleted and you will need to complete and submit a new profile. Creation of a new profile does not attract any fee anyway.

In light of this, It is entirely up to you since either way is inconsequential. I would however advise you create your profile and use the motivation of haven taken the first step to fix any other thing that will increase your CRS scores.

God Speed.
