Thanks for your response!

However, more like you didn't get the questions, the reason for the inquiry is to be sure these will not be problem at the PoE.
Issuer of CoS will not be there if such questions are raised at the PoE.

More so, is to hear from people who have entered to educate me if I will really have to press for an extension of date in the offer letter.

hunee:

she wrote the care home where she got her CoS to extent the expired resumption date on her offer letter, they replied that it's not necessary that it won't be an issue at the point of entry, same for pcc
what else do you want us to say here?
You can also get PCC from diaspora.
Safe trip.

Good day house, pls my wife is traveling this week but her Police clearance certificate has expired since 1st of September. Will it be an issue at the point of entry? Does she need to renew the PCC?

Secondly, she wrote the care home where she got her CoS to extent the expired resumption date on her offer letter, they replied that it's not necessary that it won't be an issue at the point of entry, her initial resumption date was 15th of August, I am not sure if they correct.

Pls ooo we seek urgent advice

Good day house,

A family of four, biometric was done 27th of July, one of the kids got NSF on 13th of August regarding NPC 2023 issued date.
We replied the NSF the following day and got passport collection mails for 3 same day we replied the nsf. Also we have received brp mails for 3.

Now, since Monday that we replied the NSF with requested explanation, we have not heard anything regarding my child that got NSF, last Thursday marks the 15th day from the day of biometrics.

Concerns!
1. Can we collect the ones that are ready from TLS as we are still waiting for the remainder? Though the mail says wait until each is returned.
2. Do we have to wait for another 15 days from when the last 15 days complete( that's 30 days) before we can make paid mail or call?

We sincerely seek your advice and thanks so much

No! Point No1 is not lack of sufficient fund but how the work experience relates to proposed course.

Or do you mean the VO may conclude on insufficient fund on point 2 & 3?

Good day house, your contributions are wonderful.

Pls I need advise here!
Someone currently works as Financial Sales Executive with 2yrs experience in an insurance company, though has BSc in Human Physiology.

Now, got admission in two schools both are 2yr programs, courses are International Business Administration (IBA), tuition/living exp for 2yrs is 41k CAD
and the other is Strategic Marketing Communications (SMC), tuition/living exp for 2yrs is 54k CAD.

Concerns:
1. He can afford to self sponsor IBA which is 41k but does International Bus Adm relate to financial Sales executive enough to convince VO?

2. His traditional ruler can afford to sponsor him in Strategic Marketing Communications -54kCAD which the applicant can't afford to self sponsor. But the king is not willing to provide an account statement whether his personal acct or community acct. However, he insist that the 1yr tuition and 1yr living exp will be transferred to the student's account. Also willing to provide intro letter stating that the 2nd yrs tuition/expenses will be provided in the end of the first yr. Will VO accept this?

3. For a 2yrs course, if someone has tuition for 2yrs and living expenses for 1yr, will it be a red flag if it's a self-sponsored trip?

Pls your contributions will be helpful

I have used my own marriage certificate issued/signed by our parents and Islamic officials at our marriage ceremony more than 10-years ago. We used it in the US visa application and I have personally used it for a successful Canada visitor visa. I have submitted it as part of my ongoing SP application. If the LGA thing (which may even carry more weights than mine in the face of western culture and/or laws) is what you have and it is genuine, I don't see any problem using it. But to be on a safe side, maybe get an "affidavit/statement of fact" with their pictures and signed by both yours and spouse's parents. This further attests to the validity of your marriage - they basically confirm what is already on the document and throw aside any doubts. My two cents only but more experienced people can add to it.

Thanks so much

I would personally prefer that you should get the Court Marriage at the Ministry of Interio. This is very much acceptable and recognized by Embassies not only Canadian embassy. It would also be very helpful in your spousal open work permit as an evidence that you're legally married to your spouse.

It will end in praise
Thanks a lot

Pls house help it's Urgent!

My spouse will soon apply for a student permit and our concern is that the Marriage certificate we have is the one issued by the Local Government.
Does Canada Embassy honor the one from LGA or we must go for Court Marriage at the Ministry of Interio?
This is because I intend to apply for a spousal work permit later.

Technically no, he is allowed to defer his May admission until the following semester. He is also allowed to change schools, but he must inform IRCC that he has switched school. I recommend that he notify IRCC ASAP because his May school will inform IRCC that he did not show up to school.
As for working for 5 months. I don't know about that. I'm not sure if his off-campus working permit allows him to work before school begins. Whatever the case, tell him not to say tell any soul that he has been working.

Thank you boss

I believe you can work or study with the work permit. However, work in a NOC B, A, or O gives you a better opportunity to immigrate. If I have to choose between work or study with an open work permit, I will work in a profession that increases my PR chances. Some jobs like admin assistant and daycare worker are more easier to get. You can actually get them within the Nigerian-Canadian network. However, these jobs don’t fit most people’s expectation of Canada. Some also don’t know that some hustle are more professional or recognized than others. As such, many end up wasting most months, if not all, Of their work permit in search for more competitive jobs, while some do jobs that do not increase their immigration opportunities. To be successful in Canada, you have to be determined and strategic. You need to know opportunities to pursue, and Why and how to pursue them.

All the best.
Nailed as usual. Thanks so much

Good day house,

Please what is the fate of this brother?
He got admissions letter from 2 schools, one is may start term and the other is September start term. He decided to process student permit with the may admission which is 1yr program. On getting to Canada, for some reasons he chose to wait for 5 months working(hustle jobs less than 20hrs/week) so that he can resume with the September admission that's is 2 yrs program.
Will this action affect his pgwp/pr in the future?

Your spouse can join as soon the application is approved. Approval time varies. I have seen less than a year and more than a year. You should also know that spousal open work permit can be rejected too. So ensure you have good home ties.

If approved, your suppose will be given an unrestricted temporary work permit. With that, your spouse can work while you study. Be careful with your expectation, most work permit holders are only able to get “hustle jobs”. All the best.

Can a partner who is on a spousal work permit enrol for a professional course that can boast employability or even take a pgc program as long as they can afford it?

I’ve not heard of any. Banks and other organization are wary to give international student loans because it could increase their bad debt. The Canadian economy is too small to take on such big risks.

House, apologies if my question sounds cranky

Is there room for student loan in Canada for international students to support or pay second-year tuition in a 2yrs program?

YES!
At least a 2yrs program gets you a 3yrs PGWP. Mind you a 1yr program doesnt qualify you for a PR but a 2yrs. So if you go ahead with the 30weeks/7months program, it means you need to enrol for an additional program before the end of thr 1st program to make it 2yrs.

Really! So 1yr PGC and a year pgwp will not qualify me for PR. Thanks for the info

Anyone can sponsor your studies to Canada. Nonetheless, the visa officer is more concerned about you having full access to the funds presented in your application not just making claims without valid evidence. In this case, your traditional ruler should provide documents to show his source of wealth and stipends/allocations from the state government of Nigeria. He might also explain to the visa officer that this sponsorship is inform of scholarship programs which are usually offered to the indigenous people of their community to enable attain a foreign education and return home to better their people and the locality at large. Having said that, your TR should provide the following documents;

1. Letter of sponsorship explaining his intention of sponsoring your education and what the community stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship.
2. Allocation/stipends from the state government.
3. Statement of account.
4. Pictures of your TR and you to show connection.
5. Any related business documents of the TR

I hope this information satisfies your enquiry.

It will end in praise. [/qusatisfied

Very satisfied and thanks so much

Pls house, can ones traditional ruler be used as a sponsor, even though they don't share the same surname?

Does it mean if I don't have a rich family member I can't use a friend or colleague as a sponsor. If I can pls what should they provide?

These may have been asked in the past pls pardon me because I could not locate it.

With ur M.SC qualifications, it's a PH.D u should be looking forward to......... That's a career Progression

As regards getting an M.Eng Admission, u might not av a problem with that, U might need to apply in another dimension and try something new. E.g Sending a Contextualized e-mail to a Supervisor etc.

Do refer to Page 112 for Hints & Tips for Master's/PH.D admission

U not mentioning ur Master's might want to show a loop hole to a visa officer , and the VISA officer gonna question u on what u av bin doing for the past two years of the Masters u didn't me (so u would need to state that what u av bin doing).

As regards ur wife, she can check out
a One Year Post Graduate Certificate (PGC) Program in
Insurance And Risk Management (IRM1)
@ Fanshawe College, Ontario for their Jan 2021 Winter Intake

Do await more suggestions to ur Questions

Thanks a lot for the response.

The master's degree I have now is M.eng and it's a terminal degree and I do not mind taking another M.Eng in Canada. Though I have been working since 2012 and I'm 33 don't really know if the work experience takes care of the gap

Good day Fam,

Over a year now I have being trying to secure admission but to no avail, I currently do not know what I am not doing right.

Pls for anyone who can assist a brother pls pls
I intend to go for Meng because M.sc is more difficult.

I currently hold BS.c in Production Engineering - CGPA: 3.91 and Master's in Engineering Management - CGPA 4.12 though I don't mention the MSc in my applications so that it doesn't become an issue during visa application.

Likewise my fiancee, she has Bsc in Human physiology but has being working in an insurance company for over 2years now and counting.
Her cgpa is less than 3 around 2.8 but want to go for pgd in insurance related course, we really need assistance in doing these

Pls any advice, help or even an affordable agent to assist would be useful.

You really have to learn how to be calm for you to do well in listening. I tend to be a lil bit impatient at times so listening was a drag for me during the practice sessions...i was always missing 5 or more answers because i felt the speakers were wasting my time and i couldn't wait for them to go straight to the point....guess what...just when am lost in these sort of thoughts...voila they have said the answer and i didnt hear jack.

What worked?

I took some days off and watched a couple of movies, documentaries and cnn news, just listening to what was being said.

Then i tried to remind myself to be calm and focus....focus and focus (I kept reminding myself and God that I can't afford to write this exam a second time...so help me God).

I came up with different strategies e.g
If there were two speakers Tom and Jane....i wrote their names down...then in shorthand rewrote the conversation (this way i kept myself busy writing what was being said while listening and so i didnt drift).

For the ones with answers A-F.....i realised you are given few mins before the speaker starts with that section....so i simply lifted the questions and wrote them side by side to the answers while waiting for the speakers to start talking so i can choose the right options (with this method, it was super easy for me to pick the correct answers and i didnt have to move my head up and down searching for the answers.

I also made sure that i was in a very quiet place while practicing and i timed myself. I practiced with academic test questions.

Most importantly, I prayed like there was no tomorrow...I asked for mercy, favour and for me to "see and know" the answers on that day.

Few days to the exam day, i stopped practicing...i needed my brain to relax so i could give my best on exam day....

On exam day, i reminded myself to be calm...made sure my earphones were working and chose the loudest volume, tilted my head to the position i felt i could hear best without vibrations, said a word of prayer and was calm. I came out from the exam hall excitedly telling hubby that I could hear everything.

Lest i forget, ensure you read and stick to the instructions e.g not more than three words, one word, a letter and two words etc.

Look for what makes you restless while listening and create strategies to curb them....be calm....be calm...be calm.
Thanks so much ma'am, I really appreciate
