The BBC Hausa Service has been blamed for the riots and confusion in Adamawa State following its alleged broadcast that CPC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari had won the election in Adamawa State when the electoral commission in the state was still collating results.
The Special Adviser to the Adamawa State Governor Aminu Iyawa told journalists that the BBC broadcast was orchestrated to cause mischief and chaos. He said violence erupted after the electoral commission announced Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP as winner in the state.
Reports from our correspondent in Adamawa say the state government has imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state after riots broke out in various parts.
Several buildings and cars belonging to mostly Igbo traders were destroyed in Yola by youths on Sunday who also barricaded roads and razed the Jonathan campaign office there.
So far, 3 persons have been killed, while police say they have arrested about 50 persons carrying arms and jerry cans of petrol.
THEWILL correspondent also reports that violence has spread to Michika and Mubi, the commercial hob of the state.

Kano is currently very tense after the riots that broke out earlier today. Though a curfew has been imposed, many lives and property have been lost.

There was this girl i was madly in love with about 5 yrs ago when i was in Naija. And marriage was in the offing.  Though her dad was a Kano man, her mom was Edo and they actually fell in love and married when he was a youth corper in the Benin City. So i find her romantically exotic because of the mixed heritage. She told me she was a virgin and i never doubted her even for a second 'cos up north most girls never know a man until they are married. Though i told her that wasn't a problem with me since i wasn't a saint either. Nevertheless we do all stuff u can think of. I mean heavy smooching. I believed she only allows it because of her love for me. She would cry for days and reject food if we as little as quarrel. i spoilt her with expensive gifts to make her stand out from her friends. I could remember how she cried and cried when i gave her a camera phone then worth more than 40k which was something then in the early days of GSM telephony in Naija.
As our love blossomed so did our smooching become more adventurous until we decided one day to have sex.  when i tried to penetrate her she held my penis to guide me in while i was on top and all efforts to penetrate was unsuccessful as far as i could recall and i just decided to stop when it seemed to me as if she was in some sort of pain and i wasn't making any progress. Later i stood up and got out of the room. minutes later, she came out too and i saw some blood flowing down her thighs. She went straight to the bathroom to wash up and i was a bit alarmed but she kept her cool and told me not to worry that her virginity was the only invaluable gift she could offer me. i believed and loved her more.
But to my utmost surprise when next we tried to have sex (about a week later) i just found my manhood going in straight without any resistance. When i asked her how come 'cos the first time we did it i was convinced i never penetrated she became annoyed. I told her that i just find it a bit strange that on our first trial i believe that i never got in while on the second one it was as wide and and smooth as an express way. She alluded to the blood and i wondered why i never got any blood stain on my manhood. Any way, we soon forgot about the whole incidence and continued with our relationship.
But after some time the relationship kind of broke down when i started suspecting other guys being involved with her. For instance she wont pick her calls when i am around.  Moreover, when our love making became more rampant i just found that the way she responds and her increasing aggressiveness and adventurousness in love making kept me wondering if really she was the innocent girl that i thought her to be. But she continued telling pple that i disvirgined her and abandoned her which i still find a bit disputatious. But the question still on my conscience is was she really a virgin or was i taken for a ride?
