Adesiji77: I sincerely need your professional advice. I am battling with serious feelings of regret! It's nearly 3 months that I left a new generation bank for a first generation bank but I can tell you that I battle with feelings of regret daily.

The emotions are choking me and are interfering with my personal and professional life. Have tried all sorts to get the past out of mind but the feelings refuse to go away. Everyday, I wished I never left my former employer. It's really driving me nuts!

i just saw this post and sounds like if i will ask same in the next few months. i am about leaving a particular bank for another,can you share your experience about leaving a new generation bank to a first generation bank?is it a different terrain entirely?

i understand staff who just spent about 2 years where all so affected. Is that also retirement

I don't even think this is debatable. You have an offer from an Internationally Recognized Firm where you have all the experience and exposure perhaps in all sectors and you can easily break into any company even Investment banking depending on the department you will work at any time and you want to be enslaved in a sector where you will be earning and not learning perhaps as a Customer Service Officer in the bank. Where your career growth might just get trapped
Please from experience don’t just miss it. It’s not about the money. Don’t just think of money. It’s not about now but the future. You can lose all the money in one day that which you can’t loose is the experience you have acquired which no one can take away from you, please!!

its clear but you need to think deeply.........the saq and short answers are not friendly.......like those guys have basket ful of questions thwy drawn from..........all the same it isnt a bad outing....

scobaba: Congrats bro. Also got kicked by oceanic bank in Dec 2009(after working for 2yrs), spent 6months @ home before getting anoda bank, but I'm out of banking completely now. D second bank completely killed the small love I still had for Banking.

Now I'm on my dream career path.
