Hi,everyone. I will be going to Kitchener In about a month. Family of 3. My wife will be studying at Conestoga college for the next two years. Please I need someone on ground there who can give me info about the place. Currently scouting for house to rent. I hear about every city having Downtowns and the vice present in these areas. Please need general info about good area to live, what to watch out for when renting and stuff. Have already contacted many properties on Kijiji and few responded. I understand owners are reluctant to rent to people without history. Please, anyone in the area, family people, please any help, much appreciated. |

What masters are you doing that you need 100M proof of fund ?. You could ask ur agent how they did their calculations. From information available here and other sources, minimum funds required to support yourself as a student: show first year tuition fee ,best to pay some or all of it if you can, yearly living expenses of 10k, 20k for 2 years program. 4k for first accompanying family member and 3k each for others. With maybe an additional 5k for miscellany. I guess you are self sponsored, in which case they want to show every fund, and maybe they are also trying to give the impression that you have excess. But like someone pointed out earlier, the self sponsor is hard to win. i tried it in 2018. You might need to show more than money. Assets and ties. Just an advice, sort out your pof yourself. Pof is not just about dumping millions in your bank account. How do you explain it with proof ? Explain the source. askarachi: |

I would like to wade into this issue of people falling into the hands of bad and unethical visa agents. Just know that you are to blame for failing to do your due diligence. I will advise people that even if you want to use an agent, please take your time to learn this process from start to finish. There are lots of resources here, on Google, YouTube channels. So that you will be able to tell the quality of the services you are getting. It can not be overemphasised that any agent that promises to give you a visa is deceiving you. Now, you have decided that you want to hire someone to help you achieve your dream of pursuing your studies in Canada. How do you protect yourself? How do you make sure you get value for your money ? How do you reduce the probability of fake admissions and unethical practices like fake bank statements, for God's sake? No agent is supposed to give you a bank statement. How do you reduce the chances of getting pfl and ban for charge backs on one visa application payment or another and overall light and shoddy application ?. I would use an agent with history, with records, and maybe recommendations. I would also use an agent who has something to lose. There are pros here with lots and lots of mentions. If you read this thread all the way down, you see them. And reading through their guidance and advice, no one would tell you that they really know what they are doing. As for having something to lose, like licensing. Belonging to some reputable body through which they can be held accountable. I believe the essence of this page is to help people learn how to go through the whole process on their own, but if for some reason you decide to hire an expert then be thorough about it and better protect yourself from people who see you as just another money to pocket. No one active on this thread should fall victim to these things. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Just print all and sign for each child. Remember each child will have his or her own file. Do everything you are supposed to do thoroughly and you will have your stamped passport back in less than 10 days. Remember to pay transmission fee for any child that did not do biometrics Ishoba: 1 Like |

Just use wakanow or Expedia. Get the prices and book directly through the airline if you have dollar card. It's way cheaper. Usually cheapest is Egypt & Ethiopian air. Klm is midrange. You might find direct BC but if you want more options then Toronto. Don't book flights with more than one stop/layover in EU otherwise u will need transit visa Favourafrica: 2 Likes |

God has done it for my family in a very special way. Family of three. Wife 22: Study permit Me 31: SOWP Son 1yr 11 months: Visitor visa Timeline: Application submitted on August 14 Biometrics for wife 22 August Me no biometrics was refused 2018 Upfront medicals August 23 PPR for all: 18 September Full-term tuition paid Pof 29M 4 months MBS& Paper Lump sum 15M investment liquidation Explained with proof. My profile is a tricky one. In my previous refusal, I was going for a Web development diploma when I already had a degree in accounting. Because of this, I decided to hide the fact that I had this degree. Also, I was in my second yr doing CS. I also did not disclose this, fearing it wouldn't make sense to them. Neither did I disclose the fact that I was doing my nysc at the time for my first degree: In this application, I came clean with everything. I was worried that this might be seen as a misrepresentation. Special thanks to @Bullstriker. God used him to do this miracle for my family - from admission to study permit approval. He did everything, professional, outstanding and thorough job. 7 Likes |

30M POF for one year program is way overblown. Are you going for MBA. Don't totally kill op spirit. Pof depends on your tuition fee and in this case just 10k living expenses and maybe 4k miscellany. Would be excellent if sponsor can show some commitment by paying some fees or sending some money to your acc. Sponsor should also have like 5M above this total sum you need as pof. 15M could be enough. But you might want to provide complete information to get proper advise. Like how much is your tuition fee ?. Also don't flaunt the idea of having ties to CA too much(free accommodation) especially as you have no assets or strong ties to NG. It may seriously work against you. You should never have more ties to Ca than NG on study permit. Above all,you need to make ur app strong. I am no pro but you might want to personally appeal to Zubizareta and co to help you. Help you look at what you are doing and guide you. Will increase your chances a lot. Chigemezu10: |

Too good to be true. Trust but verify. Most RCICs i know secure admission free. You only pay the schools processing fee. Some of them are here. Zammy123: |

I tried Convera and gave up. When you select it and fill their form they'll give you account details and like three working days to pay. But i think when you do the calculation the difference is negligible. Zammy123: |

WISE is not here https://www.conestogac.on.ca/international/apply-to-conestoga/fees-and-payment. They use payment processors listed there. Flywire ,Convera and the rest. Of the rate,it's what it is,man. You have to do what you have to do. Convera is cheaper but you will have to buy dollar and banks charge at least 45usd in swift charges. Zammy123: |

Sorry bro. You didn't get what Zubizareta is saying. He's saying it looks like you had this ban before this refused application. You must have applied for visa before where you got the ban. For misrepresentation. And because the ban is still active that's the reason for this refusal. Mairojesse: |

Yes i did. Paid tuition deposit and later rest of full term tuition that way. Any bank in nigeria including opay will do. Follow every instruction on conestoga page ,connect flywire right from same page. General security tip always confirm the web address on your browser to make sure it's flywire.com or precisely conestogac.flywire.com. Emails from flywire must be anything@flywire.com any other domain is not them. Zammy123: 1 Like |

It's not. But it's good to pay if you can. Also check your admission condition. Normally conestoga will require you to pay the remainder of your first term tuition by certain date usually before your start date to keep your spot in the class. So you might as well have plans on how you will the first term tuition now mcnero: 1 Like |

Profile looks good but edit your post and include the duration of the program and tuition fee so that you can be well advised on POF. Still on POF, it matters whether you will sponsor yourself or have a sponsor. maxyboss212: |

Sorry for not getting responses to your comment. There is a paper (forgot the name ) that will be given to you immediatly after capture(one of the about 5 processes you will go through at iom....capture,xray,blood tests, nurse examination and doctor examination. Capture should be number 1 thing you do there but due to crowed you are allowed to start from the faster ones for me it was xray. But you must do capture before seeing the doctor. The last step.). The sheet that will be given to you after capture you will need to send it to irrc from your application profile. They will still tell you the same there. beehordhun: |

This reason is not as singular as you make it. It's not about tax clearance even though that's one of the ways of solving this problem. Non inclusion of tax clearance is no reason for refusal THE STRAIGHTOUT REASON FOR REFUSAL IS ABSENCE OF SATISFACTORY DOCUMENTATION( receipts, invoices, contracts, proof of sales, etc)SHOWING SOURCE OF FUNDS IN YOUR BANK STATEMENT. Pros will shed more light.. Republic001: 3 Likes |

Republic001:Tax clearance is not compulsory to submit. Business registration cert and memart is must. The reason for the inactive status is because you haven't been filing annual returns with CAC. It's unconnected with tax. This can be fixed in less than 10 days. Annual returns filing cost between 10k (small comp)and 15k ( big companies)for each year. Reactivation costs between 5 to 8k. Plus Processing fee. 3 Likes |
