Whom has recently received a passport.

C3PO:
Pls how long (days) does it take between submitting "requested passport" and collecting my "stamped passport".
Submitting my passport at VFS on Wednesday 16th August can I pick it before 26th August? Because I'm booking my flight for 28th August

Hello sir,
28th of April? That's approaching 2 months.
Is that what your application portal says?

Did you use a police report?

PendD:
Hi everyone, i submitted my application 28th April and did biometric 2nd May. My medical was upfront which was done on 25th April IOM. The below screenshot reveals that my medical has not been looked into. Kindly advise, just want to know if this is peculiar

Hey ppl! Happy belated New year wishes

Justwise, Akanni, Tnuola, thesoj, all great house members.

I have a peculiar baegè.

I got my TRV (Student visa) in 2015 to study in Canada but I never travelled.
My TRV expires in March 2017 but I want to travel for my MSc degree in Canada (starts in September 2017) this time around.

How do I go about it?
Reapplication for New visa or Extension of Visa (to Sept. 2017).

I hope I have explained properly.

But can i courier my passport directly with fedex without involving my sibling
Crich:

I asked this question when I went for my biometrics. The biometrics lady said someone can submit the passport on one's behalf. So, yes.

With a passport request from CIC
Please I'll like to know if it were possible to courier my international passport to VFS Office.
I am not in Lagos/Abuja and wish to use 3rd party (dhl or my sibling) to submit my passport for stamping.

So my question is; Can another person submit your Passport on your behalf in VFS?

Onyeoma3 team12 AriseOCompatrot tnuola I know this enquiries lands perfectly within your jurisdiction.
Shoot away pls

After I meditated on these words for about 1hr
Ps 69:3, 14, 30-31, 33-34

R. (see 33) Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

I am sunk in the abysmal swamp where there is no foothold; I have reached the watery depths; the flood overwhelms me.

But I pray to you, O LORD, for the time of your favor, O God! In your great kindness answer me with your constant help.

But I am afflicted and in pain; let your saving help, O God, protect me; I will praise the name of God in song, and I will glorify him with thanksgiving.

“See, you lowly ones, and be glad; you who seek God, may your hearts revive! For the LORD hears the poor, and his own who are in bonds he spurns not.”

So my own story is that,...
I promised myself I'll not loggin to nairaland.com/travel_to_Canada anymore till I testify to my friends here.
I logged in shortly and received a mail from CIC.
Am victorious eventually! I have got my medical mail.
I know how you, medical hopefuls/visa applicants, feel but believe me this is our week. It is Over!
Online applicants will not remain cowered for long now, you will leap and shout for JOY too!
All for the Lord's glory.

I have been successful. You'll be too.
I start and end my story with Jesus only.
Write your own now. Your own words.

This link captions my ordeal.
http://www.convertunits.com/dates/from/May+15,+2015/to/Jul+6,+2015

I recommend this website to the VOs'. Infact I recommend the version they will use to have the following
1. Colour legends depending on how late the application is
2. A big Alarm once 4weeks have elapsed. As big as Big Ben
3. Website reports to the line supervisor after 5weeks
Etc

I think am just going crazy. 7weeks 3days and counting may be getting me bonkers.
All I see and think is Canada. Fact I'll just change by ringtone to their national anthems.
If my e-mail refresh button were a hardware it would have broken by now.

C3PO:
I applied in May for my visa via online route but no decision has been reached.
There was a little gap in my employment then (in May) which resulted in me not including any employment details.
However, I have employment now and payslips for <4months.
I am really expectant of my initial application because it is pretty solid except the employment blemish.
Thinking ahead, if my initial application was "delayed", having my new employment details I plan on immediately reapplying.

But the conundrum is do I complete my Medical Test now before the VO makes a decision. For 2 reasons
1. If initial application is successful I'll quickly submit when requested by CIC.
2. Use it for upfront medical for my subsequent but immediate application to follow.

These two measures are ploys to accelerate my application decision.

House, please take time out of your busy schedule to share your views.

PO.

Thanks [quote author=berexio1 post=35023002]. Your advice is appreciated and duly noted.
Berexio has done noble.

Please I need multifarious perspectives.
Kindly share your remarks no matter how little you may think it to be. It's valuable to me.
