It has been announced by the IPOB that the entire Biafran land will begin it's lockdown every Monday from 6am to 6pm. The Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) warned people who lives in the east to sit-at-home tomorrow to avoid any clash with the Nigeria security operatives. The media secretary of the IPOB group and spokesman Emma Powerful made it open to the media today 8th of August. Masquerade Clash With Muslims In Osun State, 1 Dead, Children And Others Severely Injured - PHOTOS We received reports that a serious clash happened between masquerade worshippers and muslim worshippers on Sunday resulting to the death of one person dead and over 12 people sustained injury. People who experienced the incident said that the masquerade worshippers started the riot and opened gunfire at the Muslim worshippers who were having their prayer at their worship centre, Kamorudeen Central Mosque, located at Oluode Aranyin in Osogbo around 2:30 pm. Some people who were shot and injured were under 17 and they are currently undergoing treatment in different hospital for the moment. A 12-year-old boy, Abduljeleel Ali who sustained gunshot injuries on the chest and leg; Adebayo Awolesin, 15, who was shot in the arm; Taofeeq Fatai, 17 and Maliq Abdukabir, 17 are all undergoing treatment in Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo. It was gathered that Kamorudeen Islamic Society of Nigeria organised a special prayer for Nation which was attended by members of the organisation across the state. One of the victims who spoke with yesterday during a visit to the hospital, Isiaka Ajagbe, 37, narrated that the traditional worshippers were led by one Kayode Esuleke. He said that the masquerade and their worshipers under the protection of the police walked past the mosque before they returned and descended on them with stones. A Camry car and mosque windows were destroyed in the clash. He said; “They were first throwing stones and also started firing guns at us. They destroyed the mosque. A student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) identified as Chidinma Adaora Ojukwu has been arrested and will be arraigned for alleged murder of Nigerian billionaire Usifo Ataga who is the owner of Super TV. Chidinma Ojukwu aged 21 is a student of mass communication 300-level in UNILAG. She was arrested by the Lagos State Police for stabbing Usifo Ataga. Hakeem Odumosu, the lagos state commissioner of police reported that Chidinma confessed killing Usifo. According to reports, Usifo Ataga was reportedly missing on Sunday, June 13, by his family and friends after he didn’t return to his home in Banana Island and he also didn't show up at his Victoria Island office. His lifeless body was eventually found on Friday morning, June 18, in a flat in Lekki phase 1 with multiple stab wounds. Later on, after thorough investigation by the police, Chidinma was confronted by the police at her parent's home in Alagomeji, Lagos, and paraded today, June 24 after a thorough investigation. Chidinma confessed that she was introduced by her friends to Usifo Ataga four months ago, and on the day of the incident, she told her parents that she was going for an ushering job but went on to meet with Usifo so they could have some fun. It is now viral on the internet concerning a student that was suspended because she didn't greet the Nigerian president Buhari Muhammadu. The unidentified student of Borno college of nursing and midwifery suspended their student because she couldn't welcome the president during his visit to the college. The student was given a suspension letter to stop her studies and practice until the 28th of June to come with her parents and guardians. A Nigerian pregnant 18-year old girl, known as Kemisola Oguniyi, who was arrested during the ENDSARS protest in Akure, the Ondo state capital has given birth in prison custody. She gave birth to a baby boy Kemisola has been in prison custody since October 24 last year. She was remanded with some others who were accused by the security operatives that arrested them of being amongst those who razed the state Secretariat of the All Progressive Congress. Kemisola was arrested alongside three others who were later remanded in Ondo prison custody. Some other people were also remanded with her at Surulere prison, they are; Ayodele Bukunmi, Ojo Samuel and Ani Obinna. It was gathered that Kemisola was on her way to the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) to collect money for her mother’s treatment when she was arrested by the Nigerian Army on random raiding and handed over to the Police for investigation. Ezeneche Uzochukwu a Nigerian and five others has been arrested in Bangkok over a romance scam of N2billion. A police search of seven locations in Bangkok, Nakhon Sawan, Phuket and Pathum Thani on Monday, led to the arrest of the six suspects, Pol Maj Gen Suwat Saengnoom, chief of the Crime Suppression Division, said on Wednesday May 26. According to the Bangkok media, the suspects were identified as Ms. Punyawee Chusinjiraphat, 46; Mr. Ezeneche Uzochukwu Jorome, 44, a Nigerian national; Ms. Sasithorn Nuankaew, 22; Mr. Sudjai Kamnon, 34; Mr. Thotsaphol Siripru, 33, and Mr. Nirandon Thianthavorn, 29., were arrested on Monday, May 25, and charged with conspiracy to defraud and putting false information into the computer system The report states that the arrest came after a victim filed a complaint with Pol Maj Gen Jirabhop Bhuridej, deputy commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), last year, saying she had been swindled out of 1 million baht in a romance scam. The Crime Suppression Division of Bangkok police then began an investigation and found that the gang, comprising both Thais and foreign nationals, had colluded in swindling the complainant. Police investigations revealed that one member of the gang opened an Instagram account under the name Mr Lanny Gray. He then approached the victim, claiming to be an American businessman working in Malaysia. After befriending the victim, the man switched to communicating through the Line chat app, sending numerous messages and promising to live in Thailand with her. After gaining her trust, he told her she would send parcels containing valuable items to her. The police say another gang member, a Thai, later contacted the victim by phone, claiming to be an agent from a shipping firm and telling her to pay fees to receive the parcels. The woman had paid almost 1 million baht but had yet to receive any packages, said Pol Maj Gen Suwat. Following a statement by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, the senate of the university approved the expulsion of the students for various offences ranging from rape to theft. According to the statement, one Bekwele Ogbondah Godspower, a year one student in the department of Accounting was expelled for allegedly “defrauding other students of their school fees and issuing them with fake receipts” which cost most of the students their admission in the last academic session. Earlier today, a South Korean woman was sentenced to life imprisonment for intentionally abusing a girl she adopted to be her daughter. The woman, surnamed Jang, was accused by the Seoul Southern District Court for intentionally harming her daughter, named Jung-in, while she claimed that the baby’s death was an accident, according to reports. Adopted in February last year, the 16-month-old toddler died in October after suffering internal bleeding and severe abdominal injuries. A Nigeria resident openly made a report on twitter that they caught two men impersonating and claiming to be EFCC operatives with fake identity cards. They were caught in Lekki estate, lagos state. The twitter user known as Samuel Otigba said they came to the estate faking efcc operatives accompanied with a mopol trying to steal money from citizens. They managed to hold down the two fake operatives while the mopol managed to escape, and the arrested two people have been handled over to the original EFCC. He said; Omoooo today is wild. We caught 2 men that came into our estate claiming to be EFCC officials, with fake EFCC ids & accompanied with Mopol, trying to extort money from a resident. The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) made the announcement that this year’s ban on drumming and noise-making will commence from today, being May 10 to end on the 10th of June 2021.
