There is that urge inherent in all humans which propels us all to project only the seemingly desirable or attractive traits in us.

It is however, noteworthy that the attractiveness or otherwise of these traits is subjective and such there is no universally accepted unit of measurement.

What is attractive to A might be repulsive to B.

That is why it advisable that people should do everything that makes them happy within the confines of legality, morality and ethics.

Romance / Re: The New Trend Now About Covid-19 In Nigeria!!! by calmbabadee(m): 3:20pm On May 02, 2020
This is a lie from the pit of hell. We don't even have 353 cases of discharged covid 19 patients as at 2.00pm on May 2nd 2020.

We all should be responsible and logical in our reportings rather than trying to stir up worthless conversations.

Stevecyes:
Covid-19 in Nigeria.

Over the weekend, Friday to be precise.
My neighbor's son sustained a head injury while playing with his fellow kids and was rushed to the general hospital in my area here.

The little boy wasn't sick o.
Just a head injury that happened in my presence while we were outside discussing.
On Sunday, I went to check on the boy to see how he was doing, he was already playing with other kids though his head is still bandaged.

I started talking with his mom and she told me what now seems to be the new trend as regards Covid-19 in Nigeria.
She showed me the receipt issued to her by the hospital.

It was marked Covid-19, case 353.
I was surprised to see that.
She said when she saw the receipt, she asked the nurse what was the meaning of that?
That her son isn't a Covid-19 patient.
The nurse told her not to worry, that it means nothing.
That she was only doing what was required of her.
So she shouldn't worry.

According to the woman, she was still worried seeing that on her receipt but the nurse further reassured her and told her that if she doesn't do that, she could be issued a query. Wow!

What this means is that, according the receipt, the boy is case 353 treated and discharged.
Can you imagine that?!
That is possibly the new trend now at government hospitals.

Once you're sick and visits a government hospital, you're a Covid-19 patient.
If she hadn't shown me that receipt, I wouldn't have believed what she told me yesterday.
And you keep wondering why we can't see common pictures of patients in the isolation centers. Common pictures o.
All we see everyday are numbers upon numbers.
Let me leave it here for now.

The problem here is getting married to your father's age mate. I don't know how you expect to relate well giving the age Gap. Come on.

Let's be realistic. Alot of women who get married to their father's age mate do it for either money or fame. It doesn't always end well because you guys are from different generations grin.

You are ill-informed. Which husband is her father's age mate? The king being talked about is in his mid 40s

I think it's sweeter & more meaningful when done privately. Whether a guy is on his knees or not, it also doesn't matter to me just as long as the proposal is sincere & he has good intentions. I don't want a circus with a clown holding a ring.

I keep repeating my assessment of this man that despite his shortcomings, he provides infrastructure for his people. Aside the moral and and ethical issues of gandollar, he would have been an ideal model of leadership for elected public officials.

Business / Richard Branson''s Thoughts On Virgin Cola: A Critical Lesson For Entrepreneurs by calmbabadee(m): 8:00am On Jan 01, 2020
What we learned from Virgin Cola
25 years ago we decided it would be an exciting challenge to take on Coca-Cola. In 1994, we thought wecould knock the soft drinks giant out of their market leading position, and have a lot of fun along the way. We’d had great success pulling the tail of British Airways with Virgin Atlantic, and the big music labels with Virgin Records. Why would cola be any different?

We got off to a flying start, outselling both Coke and Pepsi in the UK in our first two years. So we started dreaming even bigger…why not take them on in their own backyard, the US? Before I knew it, I was driving a Sherman tank through Times Square, and firing Virgin Cola bottles at the Coca-Cola sign.

But Coca-Cola had a lot more firepower than us. They poured all of their huge resources into squashing us, and soon Virgin Cola was gone from the shelves. The lesson we learned was about the need to put purpose at the heart of your business, and really differentiate.

If you are taking on a business far larger than yours, you have to be so much better than them. But with two cans of red cola, there wasn’t that much difference in the product. Virgin is all about our people and customer experience – there wasn’t much personal interaction with buying a fizzy drink.

Since then, we’ve learned to only go into markets where we can truly make a difference and shake things up. Whether it’s opening up space for the benefit of everyone on Earth with Virgin Galactic, or making everyone better off with Virgin Money, we put purpose at our centre.

We’ve failed many times, and made many mistakes – and it is because of these that we have had success. Show me somebody who hasn’t failed and I’ll show you somebody who has never tried anything new. It is only by attempting to innovate, failing, learning from that failure, and starting again, that progress happen's.

This kinda fuckery is just beyond comprehension. How do these kinda people reason.

The charges are brought up by a foreign government that you people claim has got your back.

Now the director said he will speak to people that matter on the case. Why don't you chill for the outcome of the "speak" before throwing temper tantrums at the President.

I think the hate speech something might be OK although I am totally against it.

Why do we dignify gossips such as this on Nairaland.

I think there should be a gossip section where people that are interested in news such as this can go to and feed to their fill.

Front page should be reserved for reasonable and informative news and events.

Atiku is free to proceed to Port Ha Court.

He is sure to lose there also as Wike holds that location tight.

The truth about Atiku is that the king (Atiku) was dancing naked but there was no one to tell him.

Meanwhile, the option we got is not delivering on the promises he had made. Hope is the only thing Nigerians are thriving on.

When hope becomes the strategy, brethren, it is an indicator that things are NOT about to get any better
