Politics / Barack Obama, Annan React To Buhari’s Inauguration || Read What Obama Says by Casey001(m): 6:59pm On May 30, 2015
President Barack Obama of the United states of America and the former Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Kofi Annan have both congratulated Muhammudu Buhari on his inauguration as President of Nigeria.

While Obama says he will continue to strengthen the economic and diplomatic styles between his country and Nigeria, Annan says he hopes “that Nigeria’s recent elections were not a lucky exception but instead signal a new democratic departure from which other countries in Africa and beyond can draw inspiration.”

Obama in a press statement obtained by a correspondent of Leadership newspaper in New York, promised that his administration would maintain the strong ties with the government of Nigeria which began in 2010, stressing that he should not relent in his effort to ensure that Nigeria remains united.

Obama, also praised former president, Goodluck Jonathan, for putting the interest of Nigeria at hand by conceding defeat at the March 28th Presidential elections.

Meanwhile, Annan in a statement said he prayed the newly-inaugurated administration Buhari, will rule the country using democratic tenets. He also hoped the peaceful was the first of its kind in Nigeria and Africa as a whole

He said, “For the first time in Nigeria’s history, an elected president is today handing power to another elected president following an election that was, by and large, free, fair and comparatively peaceful. President Goodluck Jonathan, in particular, deserves much credit for conceding defeat promptly and elegantly.

“The outgoing president has paved the way for peaceful transition. It now befalls president-elect Buhari to govern in a democratic spirit , strengthening public institutions and ensuring that forthcoming elections at local or parliamentary level do not revert to the old ways.

“Let us hope that Nigeria’s recent elections were not a lucky exception but instead signal a new democratic departure from which other countries in Africa and beyond can draw inspiration as they too face the complicated and sometimes perilous challenge of managing political transition.

Sports / Chelsea Striker Diego Coster : Why I Left Atletico Madrid by Casey001(m): 11:21am On Oct 28, 2014
Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been discussing his decision to leave Atletico Madrid in the summer. He left Diego Simeone's outfit for Chelsea in a £32m deal over the summer, and he's hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge, netting nine goals in just seven appearances for the west Londoners.

"I was extremely happy at Atletico and the last year when we achieved so much was the best year of my career as a footballer," he told Champions League Magazine.

"However, you always try to improve your life. The opportunity to join this tremendously important club came and while Atleti is a great team, this was a different league, one I'd always wanted to try.

"People always used to say that my game would fit the Premier League perfectly and so the opportunity to sign for an extremely famous club like Chelsea made me super-excited.

"I have to keep on working hard. I still have many years ahead of me in my career so I hope I will be able to play in another Champions League final - to have another opportunity to win this competition.

Real Madrid striker Chicharito will never play for Manchester United again

Javier Hernandez has played his last game for Manchester United. The Daily Express says he will not return to Manchester United once his loan deal at Real Madrid expires next summer.

United manager Louis van Gaal is hoping that Chicharito’s impressive performances will see his price-tag rise ahead of a permanent exit.

Major clubs including Bayern Munich, Roma and Tottenham have all been credited with showing an interest in the 26-year-old, but Real could be tempted to snap up the forward if he proves to be a hit at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Sports / Sporting Lisbon Vs Chelsea Preview UCL Today At 7.45PM by Casey001(m): 12:54pm On Sep 30, 2014
sporting Lisbon vs Chelsea Uefa champion League preview Today at 7.45pm .

Both of these sides started their Group G campaign with 1-1 draws and Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon can be said to have dropped two points against Slovenia’s Maribor, because they were the favourites in that match.

Premiership side Chelsea also who were expected to get the three points at home against German side Schalke - but also dropped points when their match ended in a draw.

Sporting Lisbon finished in second place in the Portuguese league last season and qualified for the Champions League automatically. They started their season brightly with two wins and four draws. Their last match was at home against FC Porto some four days ago and even though they are still unbeaten have six points less then leaders Benfica in their domestic standings.

It needs to be pointed out that Sporting Lisbon were so close to a win and only had to settle for the draw in the last few minutes against Maribor away in the first round of the Champions League. Now they have an uphill task against Chelsea and also Schalke still to come. However, coach Silva insisted he has confidence in his team and that they can still remain unbeaten after this match on Tuesday night.

The team news for Sporting Lisbon is that they will start this match without the services of defender Lopes who is out injured.

Meanwhile for Chelsea, they have played well from the start of the English Premiership and have managed five wins and a draw away against Champions Manchester City.

It should be noted that Chelsea averaged three goals per game and last weekend they beat Aston Villa by 3-0. Chelsea consolidated their position at the top as they have a three points lead over second place Southampton.

So to date their only match where Chelsea have not performed well was the draw against Schalke in their opening match of the Champions League at home. After that match it was business as usual as they beat Bolton 2-1 in the League Cup.

As for the Chelsea team news, Mourinho is expected to name a strong lineup here with only Remy could come into the side for Diego Costa who is likely to be exhausted.

OUR PREDICTION >> Sporting Lisbon 1-3 Chelsea

Sports / Premier League Football: Arsenal Vs Man City Preview And Prediction by Casey001(m): 12:47am On Sep 13, 2014
Sat. 13 Sept. 13:45 Arsenal vs Manchester City preview predict and win
free bonus
Without a doubt, the first of the weekend’s Premier League matches is the
pick of the bunch as Manchester City head to London to face Arsenal at
the Emirates Stadium . There’s only one point separating the sides after
three games and though the Gunners find themselves trailing their
prospective opponents, only Arsene Wenger’s men go into the tie with an
unbeaten record.
>>Arsenal
They may be unbeaten, but the FA Cup winners have been unconvincing
in their opening games of the new season. Late goals were needed
against Everton and Crystal Palace to prevent embarrassment and
Wenger’s men languished in a frustrating draw at Leicester City in their
latest matchup.
There is a sense of ‘here we go again’ for Arsenal fans. After things
looked so promising at the end of the summer, their team have failed to
exhibit the performances of champions and seem to lack decent
opportunities on goal. Indeed it was after their last meeting with
Manchester City that people were presenting cases for Arsenal as a
legitimate threat in the title race.
Following the signing of Alexis Sanchez , confidence was on a high and
last season’s fourth-placed side that disposed of the champions with
incredible ease in the Community Shield. Goals from Santi Cazorla, Aaron
Ramsey and Olivier Giroud gave Arsenal a 3-0 win but their Premier
League form has been far from reaching such heights.
However, Wenger had been left without striking options following the
injury obtained by Giroud and Yaya Sanogo’s inability to score, but he
may have found the solution having signed former Manchester United
striker, Danny Welbeck. The England international scored both goals for
his country in the Three Lions victorious outing in Switzerland, indicating
that if he is played in his preferred striker role, as he most likely will be
at Arsenal, the 23-year-old is certainly capable of scoring goals

Manchester City

Manuel Pellegrini ’s side will be wondering how they went into the
international break without nine points from their first three games. City
seemed to do the hard bit with ease, defeating Liverpool at home in a
comfortable 3-1 victory that signalled to the rest of the field the
defending champions’ intentions on reclaiming their title.
It therefore ought to have been routine to overpower a lesser side such as
Stoke at the fortress that is the Etihad stadium . However, after Mame
Diouf sprinted away from Aleksandar Kolarov within his own half, knocked
it past Gael Clichy all too easily and slotted through the legs of Joe Hart
in goal, Manchester City fell to defeat for the first time in 20 competitive
games at their home ground.
Not even Sergio Agüero’s first start this season could give the Citizens a
goal and only once in their last 70 home matches have they failed to do
so. City will complain that they should have had a penalty in the closing
stages, for which Toure was instead booked for diving, but for all their
possession and shots, they were simply unable to take their chances.
Against Arsenal they have an excellent platform to revive their image of
superiority over the majority of the Premier League sides, although
attempting to win at the Emirates off the back of a clumsy loss will be no
easy feat .

Sports / Spanish Premier Division La Liga 2014/2015 Opening Today by Casey001(m): 1:12pm On Aug 23, 2014
After an exciting last season in La Liga it will be hard to repeat such drama and excitement that was given by trio Atletico-Barcelona-Real Madrid. Primera 2013-14 was one of the most interesting seasons of the last few years. Atletico Madrid manage to remove dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona and won the title after 18 years. Simeone’s team showed how to fight with the Spanish giants, managed to qualify in the Champions League final and were close to another celebration but Real managed to equalize in the last minute and completely outplayed Atletico in extra time. This will be an interesting season as well, Real Madrid is looking for a new title, Barcelona will try to outperform the Madrid clubs and recapture crown, and Atletico will try to defend title. So let’s start with our predictions for Primera – La Liga 2014-15.

Real Madrid ran out of fuel in the final of last season and ended in third place behind Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, although they had the same points as the Catalans. The bitter taste is washed out by winning the tenth title of the Champions League and thus confirm the fact that they are the most successful European club. After the recently ended World Cup, they threw themselves into buying and brought top World Cup scorer Colombian James Rodriguez (AS Monaco), a member of the world champions German Kroos (Bayern Munich) and one of the best goalkeeper in World Cup Navas (Levante), which is also the best goalkeeper of last season in La liga. They did not lose quality with departure of Morata (Juventus) and Diego Lopez (AC Milan), but they are still speculating where Di Maria will continue his career. I think that Ancelotti will succeed to optimize team and incorporate new signings, primarily Kroos and James. The team is already balanced and with new reinforcements Real is first candidate to win new title. We predict La Liga title will stay in Madrid but will be moved into the hands of theRoyal club.

Barcelona played a mediocre last season in which, however, they were up to the last round in fight for title. However, team led with former coach Martino, did not believe in success and ended season with three points less than champions Atletico. With appointment of Luis Enrique for a coach, another legend of Barcelona, Catalans hope to restore lost faith and return title at Camp Nou. Summer transfers were specific, defenders Vermaelen and Mathieu are in so Barcelona defense gets height because third of conceded goals came of opponents corner kicks, they brought Rakitic who was best player in Seville last season as a replacement for Xavi, to feed attackers with precise balls, goalkeeper Ter Stegen as replacement for Valdes and the largest reinforcement of Primera Luis Suarez with whom Barcelona have more amps in forward line. Team changes are expected, especially when Suarez returns after execution of the suspension. Messi will continue to be a key player for Barcelona but like Neymar on the second wing, will play more from another plan and assist Suarez. We expect that Barcelona will be again at the top but in the end will not be able to compete with Real Madrid and will repeat lasts year’s success to win second place.

Atletico Madrid is going to try defend the title which they won after 18 years in a thrilling finale, left Barcelona and Real behind and play the Champions League final which they lost unhappy and awkward. Defense is the best part of Simeone’s team, they conceded the least number of goals last season in La Liga – 26, and on that defense Argentinian builds its success. While it was expected exodus of top players Atletico more or less stayed together. They lost top scorer Diego Costa, then defender Filipe Luis and goalkeaper Cuortois (all Chelsea) and another striker David Villa. Other key players such as midfielder Gabi, Koke, Tiago, Godin, Miranda, Juanfran are at club and reinforced with striker Mandzukic (Bayern Munich), Griezman (Sociedad), defender Siqueira (Granada) and young Slovenian goalkeeper Oblak (Benfica). Although Atletico will be a difficult opponent for all clubs, including duo Real/Barcelona, I do not see them defending their title. Atletico has remained very good club but mentioned duo have slightly advantage which will eventually show. We predict 3rd place for last year champions.

Other clubs in fight for euro competition are led by Basque Bilbao who last season finished behind the leading trio. The team has stayed together, except Herrera who has achieved a transfer to Manchester United, and we expect them to repeat last year’s success. Seville has achieved great success by winning a third Europa League title as well as fifth place in La liga. They are without their best last season player Rakitic who has achieved a transfer to Barcelona, then Mbie, Moreno but we believe they are capable to fight for Euro competition place. Valencia experienced significant changes, lost Mathieu (Barcelona) but will certainly be in fight for Euro place. Villarreal surprised last season after they finished sixth in the comeback season, team is unchanged and we expect fight to preserve last year’s placements. Real Sociedad finished in seventh place, played a solid season but have lost Griezman (Atletico) and C.Bravo (Barcelona), we predict they will fight for 5-8th place.

In the mid table we expect Malaga, which is struggling with financial difficulties, then Levante who lost Navas and coach Schuster. Granada, Espanyol and Celta have new coaches, but together with Getafe we predict solid season and place in the mid table.

We predict direct relegation for Almeria who last season almost escaped relegation, and Cordoba who returned to La liga after 42 years. Other candidates are Eibar which is debuting in La liga, Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano and Elche.

Sports / Burnley Vs Chelsea - Premier League Match Preview by Casey001(m): 10:55pm On Aug 17, 2014
Burnley vs Chelsea preview betting , prediction analysic ,statistic

Burnley face a baptism of fire on their return to the Premier League when they entertain Chelsea on Monday in their first game of the season.

Date: August 18, 2014
Venue: Turf Moor, Burnley
Kick-off time: 8.00 pm BST

Probable starting eleven:

Burnley:
Heaton; Trippier, Duff, Shackell, Mee; Kightley, Marney, Taylor, Jones; Ings, Jutkiewicz.

Chelsea:
Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Luis , Matic; Hazard, willian, Fabregas, Oscar; Costa.

Newly promoted Burnley are back in Premier league after four years. They have played six friendly matches during the preparation period. Burnley won over Grossklein (8:0) and Accrington (1:0), while lost to Preston (2:1). In the last two weeks Burnley won over Blackpool and Verona, while played draw with Celta Vigo, so we can say they have a solid preparation period. Here are the last results:

09.08.2014. Burnley - Verona 3:1

05.08.2014. Burnley - Celta Vigo 2:2

02.08.2014. Blackpool - Burnley 0:1

The striker Sam Vokes will miss the match due to a knee injury, while the defender Cameron Dummigan is sidelined with a thigh problem. The newcomers, strikers Lukas Jutkiewicz and Marvin Sordell, the midfielders Michael Kightly and Matt Taylor, as so the defender Steven Reid will hope to make their debuts on this match.

Chelsea played a lot of friendlies during summer period. They lost two from 10 played matches. The Blues have played five matches in August and won three of them. They have not conceded more than one goal per match with the exception of the match against Werder Bremen which they heavily lost. Here are the results:

12.08.2014. Chelsea - Real Sociedad 2:0

10.08.2014. Ferencvaros - Chelsea 1:2

08.08.2014. Besiktas - Chelsea 1:0

08.08.2014. Fenerbahce - Chelsea 0:2

03.08.2014. Werder Bremen - Chelsea 3:0

The midfielder Ramires is suspended, while the striker Didier Drogba is doubtful due to an ankle problem. The manager Jose Mourinho still keep in secret which goalkeeper, Courtois or Cech, will start for Chelsea. However, that's a "sweet problem" for him. The summer signings Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid €40M), Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid €20M) and Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona €33M) are expected to be in the starting eleven.

Last meeting between Chelsea and Burnley were in the season 2009/10. The Blues won both fixtures. Here are the results:

30.01.2010. Burnley - Chelsea 1:2

29.08.2009. Chelsea - Burnley 3:0

Chelsea are unbeaten in their opening fixture since 1998, winning 13 of 15 games. I believe they will win again. Even more, I expect to secure the victory after the first half.

Chelsea will win by 3 goals

Pick: Chelsea/Chelsea (HT/FT
