eldee365: Yes, if you can get referenc letter for you one year work experience. However you would need a high score to get invited to apply for permanent residency. This score depends on your education, work experience, age, IELTS mainly. You are young hence you would score maximum point for age. Calculate what point you could score with your 1year experience here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp You can also read up everything you need to know about express entry here: https://www.nairaland.com/3999848/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled I got my permanent resident approve in just a month. So many Nigerians are taking advantage of it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

esteeino13: Generally, your application will follow the below path after the submission. BG: Not Applicable (NA1) Medical passed – (MEP) BG: In Progress (IP1) – R10 check is done here. BG: Not Applicable (NA2) – Eligibility check is done here. BG: In Progress (IP2) – BG: Not Applicable (NA3) – Sometimes this doesn’t come PPR: Passport Request CoPR: Confirmation of Permanent Residence So it is in below order AOR – NA1 – MEP – IP1 – NA2 – IP3 – NA3 – PPR – CoPR AOR: This is a letter you will get within 24 hours after submission of your PR application. NA1: “Not applicable“. This will be your BG status message as soon as you submit and get AOR. Typically, this will be status till the time you get your medical passed status. MEP: “You passed the medical exam“. This will generally happen after approx 25-30 days after your AOR. For PNP applicants it can take more time generally. IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office). NA2: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP1 is completed. Sometimes IP1 will take few hours and if we have not checked our account during the time it was in IP1, it won’t be possible to know that we are in NA1 or NA2. Our file will be transferred to CPC (Case Processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks. IP2: BG status message in this stage will be “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“. Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day, PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF up front. These things will be done at CPC office. NA3: “Not applicable“. This will signify that IP2 is completed. This status is not visible is many cases and direct PPR request is placed from IP2. PPR: Passport Request. You will get an email for that and you may not get an update in your CIC account for this. ADR: Sometimes an additional document is requested in IP1 or IP2 stage. An email, as well as message in your CIC account, will be sent. 5 Likes 4 Shares |

Hello guys, I wish to share my joy with all of you on this thread, because just like you i was planning on going to Canada on student visa come January. I applied for masters to several schools but none gave me admission. As at May this year i started applying to colleges in Ontario and got admission. I have read through Canada Student Visa Threads after seeing some seniors here discuss how they got PR via Express Entry. I made up my mind to dump applying for student VISA and went for PR because of the rate of rejection for Student Visa. @Osemigho can bear me witness. His post also inspired me he has his PR now as well. In just a month i have gotten my PPR while my cousin who submitted student Visa even before i created my express entry profile is yet to get his visa. My advise is that, if you have the work experience go for Express Entry. Use the big school fees money as POF. When you get your PR you can easily get admission into your school of choice even at a cheaper rate. Below is my timeline: FSW-O WES – 31 AUG 2017 1st IELTS – 03 AUG 2017 2nd IELTS – 09 SEP 2017 CRS - 441 ITA – 4 OCT 2017 AOR – 10 OCT 2017 MEP – 24 OCT 2017 IP1 – 25 OCT 2017 NA2 – 27 OCT 2017 IP2 - 9 OCT PPR: 11 NOV Thanks everyone for all the contribution. Its still like a dream... I never thought i would get PPR now. Above all... Pray Pray Pray God is the greatest. 19 Likes 1 Share |

aduredee: Please add your nysc experience, ensure your reference letter covers it. The gap doesnt matter but you would have to explain the gap in your personal history post ITA. I personally had worked 2years as IT Technician before even going to the university for my first degree and i claimed points for it. I just got IP2 today. 8 Likes |

Gadgetshop: Please update your profile with the accurate details. There is no need rejecting it. You can still make some changes, as long as it doesnt affect your score. You are safe. But No one should thread such part just to be safe. |

I don't know understand what the argument over reference letter is all about. I believe if you get a reference letter in CIC format, you can submit only that. However, if you fill that your company information is not readily available on internet. You can add other information to back your claims. Its not compulsory. I submitted only reference letter, I don't have pay slips, my employment letters won't make any difference. I simply tried to keep my application as simple as possible. These VOs have accessed thousands of applications, so nothing is new to them. But I believe every document you submit to them must be scrutinized... That might be another reason some files are sent to London. My file is at Ottawa and am currently awaiting PPR. AOR October 9 13 Likes |

Nova Scotia’s Express Entry Stream was reopened last week. Requirements: have a profile registered in Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s Express Entry system; score 67 points or more on the stream’s six selection factors; have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in one of our target occupations; have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent; prove language ability in English or French at Canadian Language Benchmark 7; show enough financial resources to successfully settle in Nova Scotia. You can read more on it via this link http://novascotiaimmigration.com/move-here/nova-scotia-demand-express-entry/ Kingbukaz: |

Kingbukaz:Yes you can, but it would require alot of patience as its not common for CRS to fall to 413. But anything is possible. The chat below will tell you more. Personally, i would suggest you try improving your score; if you are married, ask your spouse to take IELTs which can get you up to 20 additional points. your spouse can also do an ECA to get additional 9points. If you are not married, try to gain more work experience if its currently less than 3years or follow PNP route. Extra Note: the tail of the chat is forming a straight line. CRS should have fallen below 430 by now but it seems CIC is trying to keep it stable above 430 using the number ITA issued. It is "possible" to remain so till the end of the year. With God nothing is impossible [img][/img] 1 Like 1 Share

Have you sent your degree result or certificate to WES via Fax or mail? You are meant to send a copy of your degree to WES yourself. This is different from the transcript your school sent to WES. You can also track your transcript on WES website to confirm if they have received it chybaz: |

Yes please. Send it to WES yourself to expedite it. As long as the stamp is not tampered with you are good. Most Nigerian school wont send it until you do it yourself. Other would mostly use snail mail(Post Office) I sent mine myself olusolarichards: |

Santino1: My post or point has nothing to do with PhD or MSc. Those are exceptions to the rule of two or more diplomas, certificates or degrees. CAstruggle: |

On the profile builder if you enter 2 BSc, one after the other. It will automatically calculate it as two or more certificates, degrees or diploma. Dont forget you need to enter details for each study separately one after the other and also state whether or not you have done ECA for it. I evaluated a BSc and Diploma and it earned me two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees on my EE profile I believe its only applicable to spouse Santino1: |

Please dont misunderstand CIC. Note the following carefully as he can get maximum point for Two or more certificate, diplomas or degrees A 3year or more certificate, diplomas or degrees - Equivalent to his BSc or HND PLUS take note of the plus Any other certificates, diplomas or degrees - which can be OND, HND or BSc excluding WAEC & NECO You can only earn for just Bsc if that all you have earned since your secondary education. However if you have 2 BScs its two or more certificates. This matter has been discussed here over and over again even on the thread before this one |

Beblessedbaba: Please do ECA for all (ie ND, HND & BSc) So you can earn the maximum points - Two or more certificates, diploma or degrees. Secondly your ECA would be relevant while seeking a job in canada. 1 Like |

DatechMan: The Express Entry state i include all secondary and post secondary education. I was given the option to select that i didnt receive ECA for it. My question is, should i exclude my secondary school education from my EE profile since i didnt do an ECA for it? I also included my wife's education history in the EE profile and i stated that i dont have ECA for it. |

Am creating my EE profile. I need some guidance from the seniors in the house. 1. I attended two Secondary schools, one for junior another for senior secondary do i include this in my EE profile and also personal history? Or i should simply go with the one i graduated from? Junior was from 2000-2003 - i didn't receive any certificate for this Senior was from 2003-2006 Or Do i just leave out the secondary school details from my EE profile since i evaluated just my diploma and BSc. 2. Do I included my spouse Educational history in my EE even though we are not claiming points for them as we didnt do ECA? @40 @Ehrnie @Mrs. O |
