Qatar is quite disciplined with regards to documentation. I suggest you submit the MEDIF form in advance even if you are just 31 weeks and a few days old. I flew Qatar about 3 weeks ago and I was 31 weeks and 4 days old but I still ensured I submitted the MEDIF form. At MMA, I was asked to go to Port Health to get a fit to fly which cost 1500naira. If you are sure of how far gone you are in your pregnancy, please stand your ground without being rude. The nurse there tries to convince people otherwise so that you can settle her.

With regards to the layover, I didn't pay for accomodation. I simply looked for the 'Quiet Room' at Doha airport and went to relax there. It has reclining chairs so it wasn't that bad. People go there to sleep before their next flight. You however have to be be at alert as there isn't a PAS to announce flight stats and you definitely do not want to miss your flight. The air hostesses were amazing. They gave me almost everything I asked for and even a large bottle of water to keep by my side so I could stay hydrated.

For the connecting flight to the US, some man came to talk to me and asked how much money I had on me, if I had my doctor's correspondence as well as a hospital, where I'd be staying, etc and adviced me not to collect Medicaid.

I hope this helps.

So I've been a silent reader on this thread as well. Had my POE experience at Atlanta yesterday and it was as smooth as a breeze. Got into Atlanta at about 5pm.

CBP: Good day ma'am, I see you're here to have your baby. (I'm showing already)
Me: Yes I am
CBP: I could tell.
Me: *smiles, yes ma'am, I've got a big stomach
CBP: I see you have declared food.
Me: Yes, I came with some of my local foods. All dried foods.
CBP: Not a problem. Enjoy your stay. Stamped me in for 6 months.

It was hard to believe but I thank God it was a smooth experience. On my way out, got stopped by one of the officials who asked if I had ogbono, egusi, indomie, etc and she let me go. When I got home, noticed they had opened my box and inspected it and had left a notice of baggage inspection.

Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by CBMO: 8:29pm On Oct 27, 2016
So in January this year I was denied a US visa even with a good travel history, good job, etc. As soon as the V.O asked me if i was married and I said No, he said there was an issue with his system, left, came back, typed for a few secs and then said i was ineligible for a visa as I had insufficient ties.

Reapplied again this month, had my interview on Monday.

V.O: Good day ma'am
Me: Good day
V.O: May I know why you want to go to the US
Me: Replied that I was going to attend an event, and also take some time off work to rest before my professional exams due in March
V.O: Where in the US will you be visiting
Me: Told her where I'll be staying
V:O: Where do you work and what are your duties there
Me: Explained this to her
V.O: Do you have kids
Me: No ma'am
V.O: Congrats, your visa is approved. Pick up your passport in 3 days,..*hands me the white paper

My interview was so short and the same answers I gave were the ones I gave when I was interviewed in January. To be honest it's just favour. Pray you get inteviewed by a sensible V.O and I think picking a 7am appointment helped..lol. At least that way they're just starting their day, not stressed out and nobody will have vexed them.lol. I was the second person to be interviewed by the V.O that day

Travel / Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by CBMO: 8:56pm On Jan 27, 2016
Hello,

I had my visa interview on Monday and I was told I had insufficient ties and as such was ineligible for a visa. I have a very good job here in Nigeria, no relatives in the US, I've got a good travel history and very decent pay. I work for a multinational and was asked what my roles and responsibilities were which I also answered honestly. The purpose of my of my trip was just for holidays (easter holiday) and I was going to stay at a friend's place. He is a resident, also works with a multinational. My question would then be:

1. At a young age of 26yrs old, how else am I expected to demonstrate ties in Nigeria if i have a good job here in Nigeria and would definitely return to work after my holiday (please note that my employer gave me a letter to demonstrate I would only be going on leave)

2. Is being unmarried now a determinant that a young lady would not return to her home country?

As such I would really like to know how else/what else can be considered strong ties as I don't own my own home, nor have any kids or property here in Nigeria.

I would however like to reapply but would like to know the best time frame to do this considering even 6 months from now I don't see how my situation/(which I'm totally unaware of would change)

Hi xxxxxx

Thank you for completing the online assessments for Diageo’s Global Graduate Programme.

We're passionate about giving people the freedom to succeed, and this starts with giving feedback. We are pleased to share with you a personalised feedback report (attached) following the completion of the online assessments.

This report has been designed to help you understand your personal Values, Motivations and Behaviours. Your position on the scale reflects how you answered the questions compared to the descriptors at either end of the scale. It is important to note that these scales are not from high to low and there is no good or bad answer. We hope that you will use this report to get to know yourself a bit better!

Unfortunately we cannot give any further individual feedback at this stage. We do however hope this feedback will help you in the future either in this process or in other job applications.

Kind Regards,

Diageo

i got this after the personality tests, then got an invite for the digital test the next day

Dear Candidate,

Congratulations on making it through to the next stage in the Diageo Global Graduate Recruitment Process. You should have received an email inviting you to complete a video interview.

This video interview will not be live, but recorded and evaluated by an assessor within a few days of completion. The interview will last around 25 minutes and comes in 3 sections.
The first section is your opportunity to tell us a bit about yourself. So please relax and let us know the real you!

In the second section we’d like to hear about certain situations and examples that you may have encountered in the past. There are 3 questions and they are based around our Leadership Standard.
The third section looks at how you analyse and process both numerical and written data. There is a case study, which you will have to analyse and provide recommendations on.
You will have to respond using both video and short typed answers. It may be useful to have a pen and paper available to take notes and find a quiet environment where you can concentrate.
The interview will be in English and you do not need to spend long preparing, it may be useful to spend time thinking about examples, situations and experiences you have been through in the past so you can use them in the interview.
If for whatever reason you cannot take part in a Video Interview then please contact the Nigeria graduate recruitment team at Nigeria.recruitment@diageo.com .

Good luck!
