housegirl:
Hello everyone, please I need advise from gurus in the house. I am on F1 visa. I resumed August 2021 in the US. My husband is going for his F2 interview this January in Lagos. He was previously denied in November 2021 when they asked 'how he intends to make money'.

We went back to drawing board, changed I-20 to his personal funds because the former one he was denied with had the name of my friend who is a Permanent resident in the US as sponsor.

We have now changed the I-20 to his personal funds and worked on the Ds-160. He has a full time job in Nigeria even though he has just worked there for 1 year this January.

Is this strong enough as home tie?

He also has businesses and has been to the US before sponsored by Lagos state for business but on B1/B2 which is now expired.

Advice from gurus in the house would be appreciated as we prepare for interview.
We do not have any children yet and our marriage is 2years, 9months.

I would be back to testify.

Hello...send me an email at akosimvictoria@gmail.com will be glad to help with answers.

Yes, they would likely cancel it. My cousin's 7month old B1/B2 visa was cancelled when his F1 was denied. It's better you travel with your B1/B2 and change status to F1 when you get admission and i20

Please travel with your B2 visa and change to status on arrival here in the states. My husband changed from f2 to f1 here. Don't take any chances..

I just want to give hope to anyone here. I applied for EA in Abuja about 2weeks ago and I got approved but I was not lucky enough then because the earliest available date then was 17th August, Yesterday I applied to another EA because I still had that on my profile and I got my EA approved again that same yesterday, was not even up to 30 minutes in Abuja and got a favorable date in 11 August. I got two EA approvals in a space of 1 week. Please if you still have EA in your portal, request for another immediately especially if it’s in ABUJA. You meant just get it this time around. If they are yet to respond to you, keep sending emails. They surely do read our emails.

Good evening, brothers and sisters. Hope you're doing good.

I'm happy to be here today. So far, coming here is the best thing for me because I have read a lot of information about admission process.

Going straight to the point, I hold a B.A. degree in English with a CGPA 3.27. I am interested in doing a Master's Degree in English language, not English literature. Because of my 2.2 certificate, I have been discouraged from applying to any international universities.

Although with the certificate, I have worked in East Africa for few years. And, glory be to God Almighty, my employers were impressed by my performance, which outweighed the grade.

But coming onto this platform, especially this thread, I have been encouraged to give it a try. I have seen a lot of testimonies.

Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, I need your guidance regarding which of the US universities accept 2.2 certificates.

I need your advice on how to go about the application process: universities, documents and other requirements.

I'll be looking forward to getting your useful advice cum information.

Thanks for taking the time to read my message.

Be blessed.

You have not done your research well bro. PM me

Please I want to find out, is having two sponsors a red flag, my mother and my brother in particular?

No. My friend had 3 uncles as sponsors plus his father. And he recently got his visa.

Good day everyone my start date is on the 16th of august and I booked a regular appointment on the 16th august and my classes start on the 23rd of august I requested an emergency appointment at the Abuja embassy on Wednesday morning I sent a feedback to them on Thursday they said they will get back to me in 1 or 2 business days I’m still waiting is it possible for me to go for the interview on the 16th and travel to the US before classes start ?

You have 7 days before classes starts. I wish I had your luck now. Please practice and pray for your interview. If you are given an emergency date, good but if not stick to your 16.

I will try it and I will get it. It's not my first bachelor's, it's my second. The problem would be if it's my first, and at 29.

V.Os are humans and not Robots. I'm only awaiting my EA to be approved at Abuja. And I'm hopeful I will scale through.

Thanks for ur advice anyways!

When did you apply for the EA please?

Please let’s all be guided here. I feel scammers and evil people are amongst us. Be careful of who you send your I-20 or admission letter to. Someone from here requested for mine before he can add me to their so called WhatsApp mock interview group. After I posted I got a full funding with surplus here some days ago, my WhatsApp didn’t rest ooo, was getting messages for servis payment, free advice, link to join mock interview, the guy then said, before he adds me to his group, I need to forward my I-20 and admission letter to him. I’m sure he wanted to use my servis number for fraudulent stuffs because his response was not straight. Not everyone would be so smart to dictate this evil ones. Your I-20 and admission letter is private. Don’t send it to anyhow person.

Thank you.

Please my people help me review. The issue on my I-20 has been updated. Please how’s it now? My COA is 46k$ in school website but here on I-20 is 42$k. I provided family funds because of my deficit of 3k$ using the COA on school website. Please should I tell them to remove family funds on my I-20 because it’s obvious I had $600 surplus from the dept funding and the COA from the I-20. Please kindly advise. Thanks
