EBONYI SPEAKER MEETS PARLIAMENTARY STAFF ASSOCIATION, ENJOINS THEM TO BE COMMITTED TO SERVICE

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa has reassured of robust welfare Package for the workers of Ebonyi State House of Assembly for keeping faith with the present administration in the state under Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

Speaker Odunwa Stated this at the legislative Complex, Nkaliki Road Abakaliki on Thursday, during a maiden meeting with the Staff of the State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The Chief Lawmaker said that the administration of Governor Nwifuru, has provisions that would benefit all residents of the state. He acknowledged the present hard economic reality in the Country and implored them to continue to exercise patience saying, it was going to last shortly, but rather persist to rely on God. The Speaker maintained that the current administration has zero tolerance for truancy and indolence, and called on the workers to demonstrate dedication, passion and hard work as partners in progress.

"Let me assure you that I will continue to be accessible to you, and you will always get whatever that is due for you. God cannot allow me to take anything that belongs to you. Anything that belongs to workers will always get to them."
"You owe a commitment to God by coming to work, because, you can't eat what you did not work. And in our tradition, we believe that any money you did not work for, will not be beneficial to you. So, try and work for the money you earn by coming to work. Anytime you come to work, whatever that is your designation, discharge it, and you will be satisfied within your conscience that you have done something that enabled you to earn that money."

Earlier, the Secretary Ebonyi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Mrs Ezeagu Maryrose, thanked God for the victory of Rt Hon. Odunwa during the 2023 State Assembly general election, which laid foundation of his emergence as the Speaker, saying that it was his delivery of dividends that earned him his second term in office and pledged smooth working relationship with him.

"I want to use this opportunity to congratulate you for your successful reelection into the House of Assembly, Congratulations Sir. It is being said that the reward for hard work is more work. It is because you represented your people well, that is why they voted you back into the office. This time, not as ordinary member, but the Speaker of the House of Assembly, and we shall continue to work smoothly with you."

On thier parts, the Clerk of the House, Mrs Patricia Anasi, the Chairman of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Ebonyi State Chapter, Mrs Regina Oshibe and Head Of Department (HOD) Finance, Mr Izinya Thomas Congratulated the Speaker on his present position and implored the Staff of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, with regard to the hard economic reality in the country and however, pledged to support his administration to ensure that it succeeds .

The meeting was graced with the presence of the Principal Staff, and workers of the Assembly While a minute of Silence was observed in honour of the demise of one of the Staff, late Mrs Patience Nweke, whose death occured last two weeks ago.

EBONYI SPEAKER LAUDS MC WALTER, AS HE CONSUMMATES WORLD GUINNESS RECORD OF 130 HOURS OF MARATHON ENTERTAINMENT

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, has lauded the persistency of MC Walter Chukwuemeka, as he effectually consummates World Guinness Record of 130 Hours of Marathon Entertainment.

The Right Honourable Speaker, described MC water as a proficient comedian, whose dints of hard works, tenacity, and craving for greatness has upraised the image of Ebonyi State in the world guinness record, and further described him as the best.

"MC Water has done well, and I am proud of him. performing on a stage for 130 hours is not easy. He has proven to everyone that he is an incredible Comedian. His dints of hard works, persistency, and craving for greatness, has hoisted the image of our dear State, and for setting this record, I must say that he remains the best in the field of entertainment, and his efforts shall not ring down the curtain without reward."

Rt Hon. Odunwa, expressed joy on the feat that was achieved by MC Walter Chukwuemeka , and beseeched the youths, to learn from him, by being focused, resilient, and monumentally unique in their distinctive fields of endeavors, so as to bring more prominence that will further upraise the image of Ebonyi State.

"I am profoundly elated on this feat that was consummated by MC Walter, who has set an amazing example for everyone. I implore the youths, to emulate this blissful strides, by being the best in their distinctive fields of endeavours, so as to bring more prestige, that will further uplift the image of our dear State."

The 130 hours marathon entertainment took place at CitiHub, Mile 50, Abakaliki, and was substantially belauded by the youths, elders, and innumerable Ebonyians, who were out to embolden the performer.

The Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, was on Tuesday, received delegation from Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, led by the Member, representing the Constituency at the federal house of representatives, Hon. Speaking on the courtesy visit, Comrade Ogah, treasured Members of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, and the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon. Ambassador Ogbuewu Commissions Nkalagu - Ehamufu Road, Constructed Under the Administration of Engr David Umahi

The former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, was on Saturday, commissioned Nkalagu - Ehamufu road, constructed under the administration of the 3rd civilian Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Nweze Umahi FNSE FNATE CON GGCEHF.

Performing the commissioning at Nkalagu junction, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Umahi, said that Ambassador Ogbuewu was Chosen to commission the project, in appreciation of his assistance, for the installation of this government in 2015.
"Your Excellency, Ambassador Ogbuewu, in honour of your commitment and assistance to us in 2015 struggle, we said you have to commission this project, so that your name will be on the plaque, as a mark of honour and mark of appreciation."

Ambassador Ogbuewu, while commissioning the project, appreciated the Governor for inviting him to commission the road, and detailed the momentousness of the road, and further implored the Governor of Enugu State, to do the needful, by constructing their own part of the road, so as to ease transportation.

Ebonyi International Airport, which was cleped President Mohammad Buhari International Airport, Onueke Ezza, Ebonyi State, was on Thursday, received the first flight landing, amidst Pollyannaism, lofty euphoria, and acclamation to Ebonyi State Government for such down-to-earth project.

The foremost aeroplane, Air Peace Hopper, 5N-BXF from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja landed at the airport at 3.48 Pm, while the second arrival, Air Peace flight from Lagos State, Hopper 5N-BUY arrived about 25 minutes after the foremost flight.

The former Minister of Culture and Toursim, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, while effectuating the stint of proposing of toast, for fruition of the Airport, extolled the Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Nweze Umahi, for making Ebonyi gratified, through completion of the airport. He however, prayed for divine protection of the Governor, Engr David Umahi, the Governor-elect, Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and everyone involved in making the airport a reality.
"I'm proposing that the Lord will continue to protect our current Governor, and our incoming Governor, and all the people that have made it possible for us to have this airport."

The attention of the former Minister of Culture and Tourism, His Excellency, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu has been drawn to a chaotic writeup and flighty invitation, that was signed by Prof. Anthony Itumo, sullying his name to be the Chairman of the "2023 Amagu Erimogwudu Aji- Ereke Annual Cultural Carnival", Whereas, Professor Itumo has categorically said that he has never asked anyone to update such slander.

However, Ambassador Ogbuewu is on this notice, disassociating himself from the writeup, and unsystematic invitation, as he was not part of such unpremeditated arrangement, neither was he rightly consulted to the point of circulating his name on the media as the Chairman of an event he was not properly involved.

Ambassador Ogbuewu Canvasses Votes For APC, Reiterates That Abakaliki Man Will Be The Next Governor of Ebonyi State

The Former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, was on Friday, reiterated that the next Governor of Ebonyi State will come from Abakaliki bloc. He made this known at Ikwo South Development Centre headquarters, Egunwenu Abina Amagu, in Ikwo Local Government Area, during the Ikwo South State Constituency rally of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ambassador Ogbuewu, maintained that it is imperative, to give in to equity, and justice, and allow Abakaliki Man to produce the next Governor of Ebonyi State, adding that whoever that is against this arrangement, should have a rethink;
"Abakaliki man will be the next Governor of Ebonyi State. Whoever that says that he will support another person, instead of a candidate from Abakaliki bloc should have a rethink, and yield a good conscience."

Ambassador Ogbuewu made it clear to the people of Ikwo South State Constituency, that the accusation some people do situate against Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru was delusive.
"I know that there are some people who use to mention Nwifuru in an adverse way. Nwifuru has come and exculpated himself before the people of Ikwo, and I want to tell you categorically that Rt Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru did nothing against us. He is innocent. He has said it, and we have investigated and found that he's innocent. Therefore, we have unanimously resolved to vote for Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as the next Governor of Ebonyi State.

Ambassador Ogbuewu, also enjoined the good people of Ikwo South State Constituency, to reelect Comrade Chinedu Ogah, and Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, adding that the people of Inyimagu should be supported to complete their tenure, as member representing the Constituency, at Ebonyi State House of Assembly, maintaining that it will be the turn of Amagu, when Inyimagu completes their second tenure.
